Carousel Motel - family owned and operated motel right on the beach of the Gulf of Mexico.
Great location for anyone from a family with kids, to a romantic getaway, to a weekend of relaxation and getting tan.
The room is fully loaded with a kitchen including cookware, fridge, microwave and dinnerware you may need.
Courtyard seating with a gas grill and grilling utensils available to all guests. You can also enjoy WiFi connection anywhere at the Motel. All of that free of charge.
The Suncoast Trolley, which runs 7 days a week, can take you up and down the beaches, running from St. Pete Beach all the way up to Clearwater Beach and the nearest stop is right next door!
There are several close by attractions such as the Seabird Sanctuary, bars, restaurants, shops, boat/jet-ski rentals, dolphin sightseeing, fishing and more.

I recently stayed at this charming small efficiency on the beach, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The unit was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
The location is unbeatable – just steps away from the beautiful sandy beach. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying my morning coffee in the courtyard within walking distance of the stunning ocean view was a highlight of my trip. The efficiency is well-equipped with a cozy bed, a small but functional kitchenette, and a clean bathroom. It was perfect for my needs.
The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, providing great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, like beach chairs and an umbrella available for guest use in the courtyard.
Overall, this small efficiency is a hidden gem on the beach. It offers great value for money and is ideal for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing beach vacation. I can't wait to return!

We felt our room and some of the furniture could be updated. Particle board furniture is falling apart. Acouple of standing racks in the closet would be helpful for suitcases. Just needs some updating!

Carousel Motel
Some simple room repairs are needed.
I would have preferred the sleeping area be more private. I had the room closest to the 4 lane street so lots of traffic noise and I could hear people talking as they walked by on the street.
Also, my room location looked out at the parking lot instead of the green area, which is deceiving from what you see online.
**One week before I was to arrive I was informed my room was overbooked and that created a length of stay issue for me. I booked for all of February and was contacted and asked to only stay for 3 weeks, to Feb 20, or cancel completely for a full refund. I said that was unacceptable and it needed to be fixed. My stay was then offered until Feb 26, which I accepted. I left 1 week early anyway because I simply wasn't happy with the accommodations and wanted to return home.
Jitka is a very wonderful and pleasant person/hostess/manager of the motel. She was always available to speak with and was very prompt in requests for needed supplies.

Hidden Gem
This was a great spot to stay! We enjoyed the beach and bay location. The motel was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Definitely will be returning to this place in the near future.

Wonderful stay great location
Location is great for walking to the beach and nearby restaurants. The property was very clean, nice, and up to date. Everything you need for your stay is provided (including beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc). Judy was really nice and provided fresh towels when requested. The Carousel Motel is a hidden gem and I can’t wait to return!

We loved the idea of staying in a cozy motel. Judy was a kind hostess and the room was so clean! We loved the quiet and calm neighborhood…and fell in love with the restaurant next door.

Judy is an excellent owner and lives on site. Many units are rented fro weeks at a time so folks get to know each other and are very friendly. The location if excellent. Once block from beach access and stores and restaurants in walking or easy driving distance. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable and affordable efficiencies. Right next door to beach and public parking. The owner, couldn't be more accommodating, thank you, Judy! Loved staying here! Redington Shores is the best beach around and has been our go-to beach for over 37 years!

Just what we needed
This little studio had everything we needed! Cute little court yard and a good bar n grill next door and the beach is just steps away. Best of all, it fit our tight budget for an spontaneous 5 day Memorial Day weekend trip. Definately one of our new favorite beach places!

Nice, low key, quiet, clean, no frills and right by the beach
We really enjoyed our stay - the place was just as pictured and very clean. For more than two adults and a child, this would be a tight fit but we were fine. Kitchen well equipped - even wine bottle opener! A/c was a large window unit but more than cold enough for area. Beach towels and chairs were available for use. Right next door is a perfect little bar and grill for dinner. Parking in front was a little tight but go around block to back and parking much easier. Management was pleasant, very hospitable and unobtrusive. Super short walk through parking lot of beach access area - with showers and restroom - and you are on the beach. For the price, this cannot be beat.

Clean and comfortable
The room was perfect for what we needed. While the room could use some updating, it was very clean and comfortable for my husband and me. We had everything we needed. The beach was a very short walk and there were restaurants located near by. The owner was very nice.

Excellent location!
We had a wonderful month here! Location is perfect - two minute walk to the amazing beach. Judy was very helpful, so friendly - couldn't ask for a better owner / manager. Very clean, full kitchen allowed us to prepare all our meals, comfortable bed! What more could you ask for for a month of Florida sunshine! Thank you!!

Clean, affordable beach stay
This was a nice little affordable place to stay for the two of us to be close to the beach. While it is not right on the water, it's just a short walk across a parking lot, with no need to cross the main beach road. Our room looked out on a beautiful courtyard garden. The room and the property was clean and well equipped for cooking our own meals. Beach chairs and some beach toys were provided. We liked that the motel was in a tiny neighborhood, surrounded by homes and parks. Every evening we were entertained by the beautiful colors of the setting sun. Judy was a wonderful host. We would and will stay there again.

Amazing location!!
Literally 2 mins from the beach. Judy was great to work with. Had beach chairs available to use which I loved. Wifi was very spotty and didn't work for me half the time. Room was very clean!

Amazing spot! Wonderful owner!
Judy was wonderful! Anything you need, all you have to do is ask. The Carousel Motel is in a wonderful spot on Redington Beach. Just a minutes walk to wonderful white sand and relaxation. Great places to eat are nearby within walking distance. There is also a 7-11 convienience store near by. Redington Beach is not a "tourist" area, but there is so much to do just up the road at Clearwater Beach or down the road at Madeira Beach or St. Pete Beach. The beach was never too packed, making it a perfect spot to relax. We hope to come back again very soon!

We came at Carousel Motel for our short vacation and it was a best choice ever. Small, family owned, very clean and few steps to the beach.

Just right
We were a last minute booking and were in the front room. It was actually quiet with very little traffic noise. The room was clean and enough room for a family with two smaller children age 6 and 10. The beach was close enough just a very short walk and large beach area. There was a nice outside area for the kids to play with grass and tables. The parking was tight as we have a larger SUV but there was more parking in the back. Over all great room for the money. Thank you

Nice little getaway very close to beach
Clean, remodeled room with kitchenette and a nice little garden to sit or rest in or even grill. Very friendly host. Just a few steps away from the beach without the high price.

Fantastic cute place right by the beach!!
My wife and I wanted to do a quick weekend getaway. This quaint little room was perfect. And it's literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of restaraunts and bars within a close proximity.
The room was just right for the two of us. I think we'll definitely be coming back. The good reviews for this place are well-deserved!

Beautiful place, wonderful holiday in Florida
We spent 3 amazing weeks in Carousel Motel.Absolutely the best choice for staying in Redington Shores.Clean rooms, friendly people and peaceful area was found just in Carousel Motel. Short distance from one of the most beautiful beaches of Florida state is comfort that you can find here. My family stayed in Carousel Motel for the second time. I do recomend it ! Enjoy your stay there.

Perfect Honeymoon!
The first two days of my honeymoon we stayed here to spend some time on the beach and it was perfect. Walking distance to a ton of bars, restaurants and the beach. Everyone was super friendly, very affordable rooms, and the room was very clean. We are already discussing booking it again for a beach trip next year! We love the Carousel! I recommend it for anyone!

Cozy, clean , and cool!
This place was very clean and comfortable. There was a small kitchen with everything I needed to prepare and enjoy meals. I didn't have to worry about crossing the 4-lane on foot or finding a very soon! place, cause this place is right on the beach! There are plenty of restaurants and nightclubs within walking distance. You can also walk down the beach to the pier and rent a rod and fish if your not into swimming. I look forward to making myself at home in the Carousel again

Cool, retro, and a 5 minute walk to the beach!
Loved the Carousel. Great value, short walk to the beach, close to everything in St Pete, and Judy is fantastic! Small clean room, not fancy, but I didn't go to St Pete to hang out in my room. I will definitely stay there again.

Pretty garden /lounge area at Carousel. Small and quaint, nothing fancy, lone motel in local neighborhood (surrounding condos, townhomes, hi-rise apartments). Friendly Tavern and Beachside Grille and gelato ice cream (walking distance) affordable, fresh food. Motel is affordable, clean, convenient, easy parking, walk to beach, drives to stores and restaurants. We would stay again, it's a hidden gem away from high volume traffic and tourism.
