Nice small apartment in charming village

Lovely apartment with a big bedroom at the back. Fresh fruit was supplied. Posh toiletries and the place was lovely and clean. Parking was easier than expected as the host gives you a key and you park in a multi-storey car park about 100m walk away down through the village. If you are looking at the village from the air, then look for the green football pitch to the south of the village. That sits on top of the car park. The apartment would be poor for disabled guests as the front door is accessed from a flight of steps in the village. Once in the apartment it's all one level. There is a small balcony out the front with great, although narrow views - and or course you can see Etna

Should be explained that, when you drive into the village to get to the property, there's a sign that says cars are banned unless for locals (words to that effect). I drove through it, and it seems that it's no problem at all. Had I been better at reading Italian then I likely would have thought that we would get fined. The sign even warns of video surveillance. It seems it's a bluff.

The host is very kind and helpful, and flexible.

The flat is small but it has everything that’s needed. The location is fantastic, you can see Etna from your window or from the balcony while drinking your coffee. The town Castelmola is one of the most beautiful place in Sicily but it is not recommended for those who don’t like narrow curves :) The restaurants are superb.
