Lovely and away from the hustle bustle

So beautiful and relaxing. Away from the bustle. Small clean well-fitted room with patio was perfect. AC great. Just lovely and I’d stay longer!

Very good

It’s a modest but beautiful property

Missing shade at the pool, and couchions in the sun beds. This would have been a nice upgrade with a sun umbrella and some soft surfaces

Potential to be a great stay, but falls short in too many areas, and is not good value

The gardens are quite lovely, and the pool, and guest lounge area have a lovely ambience

Sadly, it was not good value for money. The staff seemed aloof, not welcoming. Yes, there is a language barrier, with the reception staff having very little English, and us having no Italian, (we only speak English, French, Flemish, and some Spanish). We weren't given any information about the hotel. The wifi was not working when we arrived, but we also were not told that the wifi (when it does work) only works in the guest lounge area. Mobile data signal was sketchy. We were not given a wifi password and it was only when I was in the guest lounge and saw a staff member to ask if the wifi that popped up did belong to the place and what was the password. I am working while travelling, and needed access to the internet not only for work, but for future accommodation bookings. Having to take the computer to an outdoor pavillion (guest lounge) in 40 degrees heat, with no fans and my glasses fogging up was really untenable. I imagine it would also be annoying if it were raining. There seemed to be a bar/drinks area in the guest lounge, but we had no idea of the prices, or when it was open. It just wasn't communicated to us. Our two bedroom accommodation was nice, but basic. The only power points in our room were for the 2 bedside lights, so if we needed to charge our camera batteries (again, for work), we had no bedside light. The toilet paper is just cheap squares like you find at a public school. We had no soap at our basin. No tea towel and no hot water tap in the kitchen, so difficult to wash anything up. I was very disappointed. This cost almost $500AUD per night, so it was a bit of a splurge on my 2 month trip, but compared to everywhere else I have stayed, it wasn't worth it. A lovely idea to ride bikes around the island, but they need to be hired from elsewhere, and it just wasn't good in the heatwave (obviously this can't be helped). But being away from everything, you need to have transport for food, water, etc.

Very good

Three location is very convenient to all the best beaches and the gardens are stunning. Truly unique to Favignana and unlike anything you'll find elsewhere - the grounds exceed expectations. The pool is fantastic and we found the staff very friendly. Given the limited options available on the island, I'd say this Giardino dell'impossibile is one of the best.

As others have mentioned, the units are a bit dated for what you pay. I would happily go back and stay in them as is for a slightly cheaper rate or with an extra amenity included, like breakfast, for the same cost. A little extra investment in the units or amenities would easily elevate this to four stars, but as is we still found it memorable.

Exceptional

Personnel are very professional and responsible. Everyone is trying to help. The garden in the hotel is amazing, it is a miracle. I can't even imagine how many efforts people have made to make such a beautiful place. This is the best place on the whole island .

VERY IMMERSIVE HOLIDAY IN A WONDERFUL GARDEN

i appreciate the location inside a botanic garden relax zone very useful and comfortable great and clean swimming pool very friendly staff that allowed us to do early check in and late check out

nothing, maybe weak wi-fi but that was the added value of the structure

so much potential- beautiful garden

beautiful garden, great pool, good room

no umbrellas at the pool, hence impossible to use the pool as no shade. in 8 days they cleaned the room once- badly. there was an issue with the septic on the property and it smelled bed. there was a concert at the property and nobody informed us. after years in Italy in the summer it always feels like foreigners get second rate service to italiens.

I think that they could integrate more the vibe of the garden to the spaces they rent, I think this would also help in terms of temperature of the rooms, they are too hot and this force you to turn the air conditioner. Probably the old rooms are more fresh, this are very modern and confortable bit the temperature is to hot

Exceptional

Stunning location, absolutely beautiful place. The villa grounds are peaceful and gorgeous. Super friendly and helpful staff, arranging for us to be picked up for free to go and hire bikes on the first evening. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds.

Our only tiny comment for improvement would be that it would be nice to have some waters in the fridge when you arrive, and tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Very good

The garden and the shared area is beautiful. It's peaceful and you have many spots to relax.

Some of the staff was not very competent and friendly, which really was a pity and I would recommend the owners to train them better because it had a negative impact on our otherwise very positive experience.

Nice hotel but with things to improve

The hotel was overall comfortable, close to the beach side, the room is big enough and the space was very green with a big garden.

However, the pool was not clean, the garden was not cared for, and the room were not cleaned everyday, we had to use the same towels for three nights. In the room, there no wifi nor service.

Superb

I loved staying at the Giardino dell'Impossible (The impossible garden). Both the hotel garden and the hypogeum garden were stunning and the individual bungalow rooms very cosy and private. The manager was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again should I return to Favignana.

I was a little surprised that there was no bar or breakfast. We had a kitchenette so we could make coffee and breakfast ourselves but we had to do without the first morning as we had arrived late the day before. Would have been good to know beforehand!! Also the wifi only works near the pool so that was a little inconvenient.
