Excellent value for ,money and a good base for exploring surrounding area

Good location and within easy walking distance to all the restaurants and harbour. Maria and her family are so kind and helpful, excellent hosts

bathroom was a bit a bit small for 2 singles and needed a bit more room for toiletries. Hotel is on main road into village and sometimes can get a bit noisy with early morning but not for long

Perfect for short stay

The room and the bathroom is brand new. The host Sophia is super welcoming and helpful. Perfect place for a quite short stay, away from crowd.

Nice welcome small family hotel

From the moment we arrived we were surprised by the tranquility and the beautiful atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and modernly decorated. With renovated bathrooms. Good location and good facilities. Lovely room very comfortable beds. Very clean creating a pleasant and healthy environment. Good value for money. A 5-minute walk from the port, restaurants and shops. Sophia is always friendly, always smiling, always helpful, a fact that greatly enhanced our stay. I love Crete and now I have a hotel that I will definitely visit again.

Good size and clean rooms for comfortable stay near the centre of Sisi and walking distance of shops and restaurants

The fact that residents reserved sun loungers with towels the night before was irritating. Pool closed early but late night bar was noisy until early hours

An excellent address that we recommend

Super place to stay at very reasonable price. Excellent location, very friendly hosts, few minutes walk from the village, port & beach. Snack Bar & Pool accessible right next to the room. Small but very clean & functional room with lovely balcony. Brand new bathroom (a bit small but very clean & pretty). Big reco for Menios Tavern just few meters away, excellent home made food at good price.

Frankly we were very happy with everything. If something could be improved it would maybe be at the pool: have more shade and not let people block the sunbeds with their towels

Everything!! Lovely room, lovely balcony, fully equipped for light meals, and the cleanliness was second to none. The staff, family run, couldn’t do enough for you. Nice pool, with a lovely little bar and eating area. Best cold beer in Sissi. Highly recommended to stay here!! We’ll be back

Top choice for the money (family friendly)

Top choice for the money. All important features like private car parking, spacy room, quite area, close to the old town, friendly staff, pool, cocktails near the pool, cleaning each day, balcony. Plateau de Lassithi could be reached in 20min with car.

Great stay at Maria Hotel

Everything. Sophia the owner couldn't do enough for us and treated us as family. We had a great room (24). The balcony had a great view over the countryside olive groves and mountains and was also private and not overlooked. We would definitely stay here again when coming to Sissi.

Warm and friendly greeting in a great location

Welcoming hosts that couldn’t do enough to make everything great. Just a short walk to the town or beaches. Pool is nice enough to spend a day at if you are feeling lazy. Air conditioning was very welcome.

Super cute family hotel, which we definitely recommend

The hotel is located 8 minutes by walking from the sea. You have a parking slot at the hotel. The lady, I guess it was Maria, is super super friendly. We came twice. The first day at the island Crete and the last day of our roundtrip. The second time we got a bigger room - the studio. We paid just 9 Euros more for a great room. Even though the first one with an extra room was great already. The only thing we missed a little was breakfast. But at least you have coffee and tea in your room so you can have a coffee at your balcony.

A wonderful week of friendly people , great food , sunshine and a relaxing laid back vibe !

The location worked very well for us as it was 400 metres from the centre with gorgeous views of the mountains . The swimming pool at the Maria Hotel exceeded our expectations as did the availability of food and drink all day until late . The owners were involved every day and were both friendly and very knowledgable . Sissi is a compact small town with mainly family businesses and so networking and finding answers to our questions was relatively easy . The restaurants that we tried were all very good - simple traditional dishes with fresh product cooked well . Our visit into the mountains and the Lassithi Plateau was spectacular. All in all "whats not to like ! "

The staff was warm and welcoming. A convenient restaurant and bar. It's close to the town center. There are a number of repeat customers.
