Julie and Gary were fantastic hosts. My family was able to escape the real world for five days and stay on a gorgeous, historic property next to the beach. Personal training in the gym was available at an extra cost. We walked to the beach and enjoyed dinners on the patio. Highly recommend this property!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being able to walk to the beach and hear the ocean made it perfect. We had everything we needed and working with Julie was hassle-free. Hope to return next year!

My wife, two young adult sons and I stayed for 4 nights in mid-August and had a very nice stay. Julie, the host, was wonderful and very accessible and responsive. House is a renovated small guesthouse on a large estate— fresh, updated interior and furnishings with short walk down a public access road to beautiful stretch of not very crowded Watch Hill beach just a short walk from Ocean House. We used the very nice, well maintained clay tennis court on the main estate two days. Only slight drawbacks are main floor/kitchen area a bit small for four people to eat/have a meal (no dining table per se) though lovely stone patio the dining table and modern Weber bbq outside if weather is nice (unfortunately wasn’t a couple days we were there so couldn’t use it for meals). Also had one torrential rain that resulted in some flooding/water around the cottage that impeded access in and out for a short time but owners are addressing the drainage to prevent it for occurring again. All in all a very nice spot (on the higher end of price range).

We had an exquisite stay at the Timbers estate. Everything was picture perfect. I could not recommend a more lovely setting with private access to East Beach. We hope to be back next year. Thank you, Julie and Alex.

A wonderfully quaint home 2 mins walk to beautiful beach. 15 min walk along beach to town. Family loved it. Lovey patio. Julie (the hostess) couldn’t have been nicer as well as available. Within 20 mins she would text back to answer any questions. Probably try to come in fall to enjoy the peace and fall leaves

Lovely property situated on a large estate on Watch Hill. Property was tastefully decorated with high end finishes and linens. The property manager Julie was very accommodating to answer any questions and met us upon arrival.

The house is perfectly situated on Ocean View Highway and Manatuck Avenue a two minute walk to the most beautiful East Beach . The house itself is charming and newly renovated-the bathrooms are very luxurious as is the whole house! Great kitchen and outdoor areas. Central AC kept the house a perfect temperature for those long hot summer nights. We loved the fact that the beach was so close and the owners provided beach chairs coolers and towels so our children could spend all day at the beach! If we forgot anything or wanted more cold drinks it was a 2 minute walk. The house is decorated in Restoration Hardware furniture and the owner has spared no expense. Even the towels and crisp white bathrobes have the 'Timbers' logo on them. My children enjoyed playing tennis on the red clay court that is on property and the owner was very accommodating to let us use it. Walking along the beach to the world famous Ocean House takes just 15 minutes. The village of Watch Hill along with the picturesque harbor, lighthouse and great restaurants is just 20 minutes and if you are lucky you can get to see Taylor Swift walking on the beach-she owns a property on the same beach. So much for adults and children alike to do with Misquamicut just a 10 minute drive away with it's great bars and amusement parks. We spent a wonderful week there as the owners guests and will undoubtedly return this year-we can't wait! We explored Stonington and Mystic as well as New London with the great maritime museum. Easy to get to 15 minutes from the I95 or a 10 minute drive to Westerly train station. If you prefer to fly NYC is 2.5 hours by car away or Providence just a mere 45 minutes. Overall we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.

The Carriage House at The Timbers has everything you can want in a shore vacation. It's a lovely cottage that can be a romantic getaway for 2, or comfortably sleep a group of family and friends as we did. Situated on a gorgeous rolling 9 acre estate, just steps from the more private section of beautiful Watch Hill Beach, it's an easy stroll to the shops at the bustling harbor or watch the sun set with a glass of wine at the nearby Ocean House. The hosts were easygoing, helpful and wanted nothing more than for us to have an enjoyable stay. We can't wait to be back next summer.
