About this apartment rental
Featured in the Hallmark movie "Love in the Sun", the Acorn Terrace apartment is on the second floor (European first floor) of the original Safety Harbor Hotel on Main Street, built in 1914. Recently renewed, the flat features all the comforts of home. The Inn is right in the center of downtown Safety Harbor, 15 minutes from both Clearwater (PIE) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) , 11 miles to the white sandy beaches of Clearwater, 17 miles to St.Petersburg. This is a perfect home base for your Gulf adventures. You will receive a keypad code by noon the day of your arrival upon booking. The keypad code will not work with the smart lock until it is check in time.
The flat has the chic, coastal Florida vibe you’d expect from the local designer (who also owns Accents by Paula on the first floor of the building) with stylish furniture and fun extras. Make the most of your stay with insider tips from a 30 year resident of the area.
INSIDE
The lovely, sunny apartment overlooks a corner of Main St., Safety Harbor, a quaint, historic combo of shops and restaurants. The space was renewed from scratch and is decorated with your comfort and convenience in mind. The livable space feels immediately like home. The shower-stall bath is stocked with plush towels and initial goodies for bathing. The queen bed is lushly made with firm and soft pillows and throws, good reading lamps and a closet. The kitchen, living (pull-out sofa), and indoor dining are one open space. The kitchen has full-sized appliances, cookware, cutlery and necessities for people who love to cook, have their morning coffee, or to just serve their take-away.
OUTSIDE
The large, open terrace is partially shaded by the city’s third oldest live oak tree (hence the Acorn name) decorated with more comfy furniture and outfitted for al fresco dining.
The flat can accommodate 4 guests, but please know the steps to access it are outdoors, exposed to the elements, and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. There is free on and off-street parking.

The property was just as described. Right in the middle of Safety Harbor Main Street. Walk down the steps and go either way, right or left.Tons of restaurants, cute boutiques and bars with live music. Large outdoor sitting area. Perfect under shade of large live oaks. Comfortable bed and sofa. Parking on site. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely small town with many restaurants. Lots of places to walk either through the quaint neighbour hood or along the paths by Tampa Bay. Our room was beautifully appointed and we loved every minute of our two week stay.

Wonderful Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It was very clean and comfortable and very well equipped. We had everything we needed. The location was also perfect. Right on Main Street, an easy walk to numerous shops and restaurants. Paula was a great host and responded to all of our inquiries very quickly. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Safety Harbour.

We thorough enjoyed our second stay at this VRBO rental for two days. This time we brought our dog, as Safety Harbor is a very dog friendly community. The rental was lovely, at the center of it all on Main Street, and we can’t wait go return for a third visit.

We rented for 3 nights and happened to be there on the third Friday of the month, which is when they close down the streets and have live music and food trucks. We were able to walk everywhere. Perfect location! Plus, the place looks just like it’s pictures and was very well maintained / clean. Would stay here again!

We are from the area and visit family often here but needed our own place to stay this trip. We brought our baby and two dogs and couldn't have had a better time. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we could possibly want or need for an easy and awesome stay. We have stayed at a few places on this property and all have been wonderful experiences.

This apartment is lovely and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Paula, Alex and Kevin were very helpful with anything and everything asked of them. The location is great, right in the middle of downtown Safety Harbor. I would definitely stay here again.

The apartment has recently been remodeled and everything is new or like new condition. The location is right in the heart of downtown so walkable to all the shops and restaurants and waterfront. A/C works great too and you'll need it this time of year (June) in Florida.

Charming in the Old Oak Shade
This cozy, clean, and contemporary style apartment is a perfect space for a party of two. It is thoughtfully stocked right down essential kitchen needs, including a Keurig machine ;-) Would highly recommend touring downtown Safety Harbor too. It is right in your backyard, so to speak, and very pedestrian/bike friendly.

Romantic bungalow
It was an awesome place to take the wife for the two of us to get away. We relaxed and enjoyed breakfast across the street in the morning. The Barfly down the street is walkable and a cool lace to hang out. We will be back for another romantic night soon !!!

Incredible property, impeccably furnished and decorated by super responsive hosts. The location, amenities and small touches made this a dream weekend. We so enjoyed our time on the deck under the shade of the live oaks. Thank you for having us. We will absolutely rent again!
