This cozy small house was perfect for the two of us. Saw lots of eagles, deer and other wildlife. Using the gas grill was perfect for this early spring getaway.

The View! What a beautiful location and little home! Perfect in everyway and well equipped with everything you would need to nestle in for a cosy stay and to explore the beautiful, natural surroundings! We loved hiking down to the water, experiencing the Salish Sea up close, while also watching bald eagles in flight, and deer families out for a stroll! We would love to go back for the beauty and peaceful, renewing environment!

First thing I noticed was that the house was very clean, which is always great! Very cozy tiny home and perfect size for one person or a couple. The jetted tub was nice and relaxing after a long day.

I had a work trip to south Whidbey Island and originally booked the cabin for two nights. It was just perfect for my needs, and a beautiful location to boot. As soon as I stepped out of the car on my arrival I heard the eagles in the trees towards the water! I had an issue with the internet, but my concerns were addressed via text contact promptly, and I got it figured out. I needed to extend my stay by another night, and was able to speak with someone on the phone to do that seamlessly. Finally, I got locked out on my last night there, at about 9 o'clock at night, but there were live people on the phone to answer my calls immediately, and I was inside within about ten minutes. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable - very well appointed. I only wish I hadn't been working so I could have had time during daylight hours to explore down by the water.

Nice little house in a somewhat secluded and quiet area of Whidbey Is. View of the waters between the islands and beautiful sunrises. It's not for nothing that it's called Eagle Song. Every morning the eagles were "singing" and were often visible flying about. The accomodation are rather sparce. Nice kitchen, a comfy queen bed, small couch and dining table with two chairs. Oh, and of course a nice bathroom with a jetted tub/shower.

The front door locking mechanism is confusing. The hot water was not hot enough and did not stay hot for a full shower.

This was a lovely home in a quiet corner of Whidbey Island. We had regular visits from the local deer herd and had some lovely views from the porch.
The owners took prior feedback to heart and provided a table and chairs and a new couch to replace the piano and wooden chairs seen in the photographs.
We were initially a little concerned about the mattress quality on the Murphy Bed but found it to be very comfortable.
The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed to prepare some meals in the home.
Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We would definitely come back!

Perfect for one, or a couple. Kitchen with basic equipment and a washer/dryer. Peek able water views through the trees in the front yard from the living area and front porch. Approximately 12 minute drive into Langley which has several great restaurants and a brewery and great water front views. This was a perfect place for me. Will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful, small space for one person or a couple. It’s in a wonderful location and feels very peaceful. The only feedback I would have is to actually have a table and chairs so you can sit down for meals.

This was a great little house! It was very clean and comfy. I loved the attention to details, like having beach towels and folding chairs available! Having a few items in the kitchen like oil, coffee and s&p were nice as well. It was a nice, very quiet location!

What a spectacular little house in the woods on Whidbey Island! The pictures online don’t do it justice! We can’t wait to go back!

Got off to a rough start because the alarm was set, and no code was provided to turn it off. It took four hours for us to get the code to turn off alarm. The home is not furnished as shown in ad. There is simply a bed and two seat sofa and coffee table. It could use another chair, and somewhere to hang coats. All said, we would stay here again, it is a very quiet, and convenient location. Also, the neighbourhood deer are very friendly.

This is a beautiful property. Deer all over, eagles, ocean view. Very easy process. Quiet neighborhood.
We just needed small things like salt and pepper!
But it was truely an amazing stay!

What I loved:
High Ceilings, Lots of Windows, Deer most evenings, eagles flying over, close to Freeland for shopping (15min), Rocket Taco was delicious! Other places I really enjoyed on Whidbey Island: Ft. Casey State Park, Deception Pass State Park, The Shrimp Shack-clam chowder and Shrimp (fresh), Driftwood State Beach near Fort Casey.
What I didn't love: moldy caulk/grout in shower, jetted tub jets were filthy, bird poop on front and back windows ruined beautiful view, the pier is demolished and unwalkable, the beach is only available at low tide, walk to beach is steep downhill, no chairs to sit at inside table (a couple folding chairs would be great, no outdoor table and chairs set, no suggestions of where to go and what to do, and Bar-b-que did not light.

Once again we were excited to see the deer family of four in the yard many times. It’s just the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.

The description and photos very accurately describes property. Was private and clean. I traveled here on business, and would easily come back here for pleasure. Quite neighborhood and conveniently for easy access to everything the south end of Whidbey offers. I would recommend this Bungalow to anyone.

Nice nature getaway
Stayed here for a work trip while in Langley and really enjoyed the beach access and wildlife. The bath is absolutely clutch after doing physical labor! Some reviews said this place was small and cluttered but I did not find that to be the case.

Clean and easy to get to.
Well equipped cottage. A bit over stuffed with furniture and knickknacks. Hard to find a surface to put our stuff on but lovely setting. I would not recommend for more than 2 people.

Beautiful place - old furnishings
The place is really adorable and well made. The location is pretty nice, though the trees and bushes should be cut in front so you can see the water from the house. Unfortunately, there is nothing comfortable in the place. The bed is absolutely awful! The couch and chairs are also old and very uncomfortable. Tv is literally a 15 inch, with no sound bar. This place really has the potential to be amazing but all furnishings need to be upgraded. You can buy a really good quality foam or hybrid mattress on Amazon for $300 so to me it’s unacceptable that this wasn’t the first purchase. We left at 8am the first night instead of staying for the duration of our stay. Really unfortunate as this was a trip I had planned for my husbands birthday.

The eco friendly house is set in a wonderful tranquil area.
We loved the house except for too much unnecessary furniture in the living room. The China hutch and dresser filled with keepsakes prevents better utilization of the space. Other than that it was great.

Tiny House Magic
The minute you pull into the driveway you can tell that this place is special. I loved waking up each day to deer in the yard, birds chirping, and just the extraordinary green and blue landscape that Whidbey has to offer. It was a perfectly livable space but, as with any review, there are areas of improvement.
First, the lockbox. I know this may be a simple thing for most but I have nerve damage in my thumb. I physically couldn’t push the button on the left and pull down the panel with my other hand. If you have any issues with your hand(s), you should probably reach out before arrival.
Second, I arrived on a beautiful sunny day only to find that the power was out! The reason PSE gave was vegetation. The final step you do at check out is to drop the temp to 59, so I went into a cold, dark house, put my groceries into the freezer and hoped the power to come back. It would’ve been nice if there had been flashlights, blankets, maybe some warm hands, and frozen ice packs on the fridge (that don’t leak) to ease the stress of a full day of travel. Luckily, power was restored at 1am PST.
Third, the pics are great however, a couch has been added to the mix. It simply doesn’t fit in the space. When I arrived the bed was already down and I could barely navigate around all the furniture, let alone find somewhere for my luggage. I ended up having to move and unplug items just to have space to charge my phone. The house has a lot of unique items in it, but the bottom line is that you have to find a way to create space for your stuff because every possible surface and floor space is covered.
The biggest, uh-oh, was under the bed. As mentioned, when I arrived it was already down, which was lovely because I could crawl into a warm place. The next morning I was looking for a creative place to stow my stuff and thought of under the bed as a possibility. When I looked it was covered in dust! To the point, that I’m not sure when it was last cleaned (I have a picture); my luggage did not go under the bed, nor did I change it to the table.
Another positive, the food options in Langley! I was blown away by the variety and quality of food!
All in all, it’s a lovely place to be, great views, good walks (I don’t recommend going on the pier, as it is gone), cozy, good shower, coffee makers galore, perfect appliances; it was just those final details.
So, grab that extra parka, flashlight, swiffer, and plan on parkouring down a pier and you’re set!

Saratoga Cabin
Great place, great stay once we were able to get in . We were sent the code to get in on January 26. We were on the Island January 26 so did not receive the email. We don't have smart phones. It was getting dark and very cold. (38 degrees) We were finally able to reach someone at Vascasa who was able to get he code. She was very helpful.
A suggestion to the owners would be to provide a coat rack and maybe some drawers for clothing..

Cute, cozy, nostalgic
I stayed here alone over Thanksgiving weekend. The perfect getaway from the city and holiday expectations. It was just what my soul needed. This little bungalow is so charming! I love all the nostalgic tschochkes and photos, there's a lot of history here. The piano had a book of Christmas songs on it, and I was delighted that I was still able to play after 40 years :-) In the piano bench there was more sheet music, some of it with the owner's name written in his childhood handwriting. I loved watching the trees at night through the clerestory windows. There is a bit of a view of the bay also. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with cookware and serving utensils, but I'd recommend a new skillet and can opener. WiFi service was good enough to host a Zoom meeting and watch movies on my laptop. Cell phone service was spotty. I had trouble with the keybox when I arrived, but an onsite property manager was dispatched within 15 minutes to get me in the door. She was very helpful. I wish I could have stayed another night. I'd like to come back next year! Maybe I'll leave a new skillet and can opener as a housewarming gift :-)

Thank you!
Please pass along to Dean Speer just how much I enjoyed this property. The personal touches and notes of history were simply wonderful and made the experience much more meaningful. I used this as a weekend escape from my work—as I work from home, it’s hard to truly get away unless you physically remove yourself. This cottage was simply perfect for my needs, and I look forward to my next stay!

Enjoyable, but…
Clean, as noted by others. Furnishings are inappropriate to the construction, almost as if the owner was using it as a storage unit. We get that they’re family ‘heirlooms,’ but not so good for their guests. Back to the good: whirlpool tub is outstanding! Excellent jet action — my wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Good appliances, although the pots & pans sorely need to be replaced with decent cookware, as are the implements. Very nice dishes, yet no wine glasses nor bottle opener. Great Weber grill, but igniter is broken. Hmmm. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay — just trying to be helpful to the owner and/or property manager.

The view from the deck and from the living room / bedroom is heavenly. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. There are deer constantly visiting the yard which adds to the magic of this place. The town is only a 10-minute drive away and they have restaurants/cafes, gift shops and a movie theater.
The only recommendation is to inform travelers re: the alarm system.
