There is a swimming pool area that you can stroll to with a great deck to take in the views over the property.
in the carport there is an inflatable 2 person spa.
Read a good book on the veranda or watch our many colourful birds at play.
The cabin has reverse-cycle air con .
The bathroom has double shower heads for the romantics!
Prepare a meal in your fully self contained kitchen or drive 8klms to town for cafes, restaurants, clubs etc.

Have stayed in the Shack before - the floor boars need attention. The toaster oven and coffee machine did not work- however the scenery is beautiful.

Disappointing
Not what was advertised and we only ended up staying 15 hours of a 3 night booking, unfortunately the weather leading up to staying there wasn't kind so everything was wet, which is understandable and not the owners fault obviously
When we arrived the portable spa wasn't working. It was also filthy dirty, there is no way you would put a child in there let alone have a romantic spa!
There is absolutley no privacy if you were to have a spa, there is also no privacy in any parts of the cottage , anyone driving/walking pass can see the spa clearly from numerous directions aswell being able to see in all windows throughout the cottage, yes these can be shut, but it takes away the view and it also takes away the feel of actually being away from the world for a few days.
The toilet had issues and had clearly been blocked for some time and would sound like it was ready to take off and the proceeded to spray water everywhere, everytime it was flushed.
Few other slight issues, so overall wouldn't recommend staying at this property

Homely cabin with a beautiful view
This cute cabin was much larger than expected with a beautiful view and a bathroom for two. The short trip out of town was well worth the drive and literally just a few minutes out of Gloucester. I will definitely be booking here again.

Fantastic Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Dam It Getaway. Stunning location with picturesque views… & the friendly animals really added to the welcoming ‘farm’ experience. The home was clean and well equipped! And the spa was such a wonderful way to start and end the day. Bev was prompt to reply and very easy to communicate with.. Would highly highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Deceptive postings and lacking in privacy.
A really cute cabin. Very comfortable beds. There's hard or soft to choose from. A well equipped kitchen and living area, plenty of DVDs and games etc. However, when looking for a place to holiday, we specifically filtered for a hot tub, which is shown in photos as well as a pool. These do exist but not at this cabin. This also appears isolated but is not 30m from a main home andv50 from another so be prepared to not make any noise so as not to make others uncomfortable. When we arrived the kitchen had an ant infestation, smoke alarm had been removed and exposed wiring, and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there are also mice living in the walls. The double shower was nice but there's no water pressure with one shower going so 2 is pointless. The views are nice but everywhere on the property seems to be a residence so not much wandering. However the owners keep to themselves which is almost nice, but if you have any questions there's no one to ask. Gloucestor itself is nice and the locals helpful and friendly.

Great location, comfy beds, nice pool n spa. Very nice meals at Gloucester hotel, Beautiful country side and our fur baby loved every bit.

Fine accommodation. Very limited communication with host despite attempts, and no attempts or tokens of hospitality. Beautiful views.

Most amazing dog friendly experience
The place was wonderful, with everything accommodating for both my own, my partners and our dog's needs! The place have amazing views, lovely places to go for a walk, is close to the shops and the apartment we stayed in was wonderful. The owner was also very kind to us, will definitely recommend this place to friends!

Escape To The Country
Stayed over for one night only but it would have been better to stay longer so as to enjoy the farm more. A beautiful property set in an idyllic location making for the perfect escape to the country for us city dwellers. Panoramic vistas made for a relaxing, peaceful stay and one we hope to do again

Great Escape!
We enjoyed an extended family weekend including children aged 8 and 5 and two dogs. Bev and Katrina are very easy going and made us feel welcome. The area is lovely with both the homestead and cottage being comfortable. The kids loved the pool as well as the horses coming to say hello. We all really enjoyed our stay.

It was a pleasant stay. Hosts including pet dogs are very friendly
Spa where we can look over the whole view is wonderful idea. Very clean property.
Only downside was ants were everywhere and I had to keep all my food in the fridge.
Overall, we and our pet dog enjoyed this stay

The cabin is wonderful and the location is just stunning! Both Katrina and Bev are a pleasure to meet. They have taken care of every little detail. We have also been introduced to the rescued animals and the handsome Dash plays with my pup so nicely. What a bonus! I recommend it to anyone staying in the area and we will be back in the future!!

Beautiful people on the property, could have stayed 2 nights instead of 1.
We had a young baby and it was very safe and easy. Clean and had everything we needed.
The spa was abit disappointing and the main pool and spa was not close to the cabin.
Overall we have a nice time, prefect place for a quiet wine and fire. :)

drive there was pretty ..house was a bit different to the description
the property description was different to the actual house really looking forward to the fireplace turned out to be an out door fire pit the spa shared the space with my car ..the twin shower couldnt use both at same time due to pressure and either hot or cold using one shower was ok..beds were a bit on the hard side, scenery was awesome and the owners dogs free roamed which was ok but not if u didnt like dogs they were freindly but could access your place of stay ..bit disapointed .a little over priced for what was actually there in comparison to the pictures and description
