I was a little worried after booking this houses. I chose this house for its location, but after I booked the address was not what was showing on the map. The driveway was too small for a Tahoe to fit, that information should be listed on the description. There is public parking across the street, but it is surrounded by a fence so you have to walk around the block to get to it.
Even though the house was a little farther from downtown, it is still within walking distance.
I would definitely stay here again.

This rental was a good location - a short walk from a very happening section of King Street - we went to Jeni's ice cream and passed tons of bars that were really hopping. The driveway is very narrow. We had to fold in both mirrors and drive very slowly with one of us carefully guiding the other into the driveway spot with barely an inch clearance on both sides. The layout of the house is a little funky - kitchen and 1 bedroom on ground floor, living room and 1 bedroom on second floor and then 2 more bedrooms in a low ceilinged slanted loft/ attic. The beds were very comfortable as others have stated. Others have also stated it feels like a college housing and I would agree. I also felt there was a funky smell in the house that bugged me but no one else in my group were bothered by it.

Great location, cute little home. The house was hot when we got there, but it did cool off a few hours later. We really enjoyed ourselves.

There were 8 of us that stayed here for a convention. The location was great as well as the cleanliness. We loved to sit on the second floor after out meetings and just chat about things. The balconies were great for morning coffee and listening to the birds. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We had a wonderful time. We did not rent a car so we had no parking issues. Very comfortable beds. Our only disappointment was no table for us to eat at (although we were out for most meals) It would have been nice to have a table to sit around for coffee or to play games.

The house was great, if it was in the location it was advertised. We booked the house for its location and price. The house was supposed to be only 3 blocks from an afterparty for a wedding, but Vrbo either purposefully lied about the location or they posted it as an error. Instead of walking we had to Uber/Lyft to the places we wanted to go.
No issues with the home and our stay.

The house was perfect for us!
Plenty of room to hang and to sleep! It’s nestled in a hot pocket and a coffee shop next door - close to everything! Management was kind & courteous and everything was clean! We will be back! :)

The location of the house yo down town, and the house itself was perfect. It made our time in Downtown Charleston, amazing.

The location could not be beat, however. This house is kind of like something you would see on a college campus. Very well used. I would not attempt to cook at all (we never even ate here). The only saving grace was that the beds were super comfortable.

Highly recommend this property, location is excellent, communication process was super easy, would stay here again.

House is very close to college of Charleston apartments and good restaurants. Convenient for family of C of C.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was within walking distance of the market and other attractions. It was also close to the free shuttle stops that also made getting around easier. The property was a true Charleston property. It had a nice layout so that all of us had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. There was a nice breakfast place down the street for coffee and bagels in the morning.

Property very close to King Street. There’s a coffee shop and pizza place within a few minutes walk. Quiet neighborhood overall and pretty centrally located.

The space was more than enough for our family. The location was great. The property is well kept.

Really great location, parking was a problem for our truck but not for the car (so we had to get alternate parking). Not disclosed until after booking and parking was an important decider re the overall booking preference.
Overall cleanliness disappointing-banisters and door handles sticky.
Beds very comfortable and great sizes

My husband and I stayed at the house with our dog and it was an amazing trip! The bed and linens were very comfy, soft, and smelled so fresh and clean! We woke up and had coffee on the deck outside our bedroom. The house is one block off of King street, but further down from the stores and restaurants, so it was a distance to walk, but the weather was beautiful so it wasn’t a big deal. The house is very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked. The. We had a problem with the TV, but the owners were very responsive and sent a technician over quickly to fix the problem. I’d recommend to friends, and we would stay again!

I stayed here with some family for 2 nights. The property is in a great location-near King street which is full of shops and restaurants. If you drive a truck you most likely won’t fit in the parking spot but the management company allowed me to park in their lot which was only a few blocks from the property. Great customer service!

The location was indeed right off of King Street. Walking distance to so many shops and amazing places to eat. Nice to have the amenities, especially a washer dryer. A bit of a musty funk smell, but humidity probably doesn't help. The parking lot floods when there is heavy rain and it is a TIGHT driveway as advertised. Communication was frequent and great.

Bach weekend
Perfect for a bachelorette weekend! We enjoyed the proximity to King St and sitting out on the porches.

Great location!
Best part of this house is it’s location to restaurants and bars on King St. Very easy to walk 20 min down King St and be in the heart of downtown Charleston. One thing to call out that you don’t see in the pictures is that the third floor rooms have a very low ceiling. Anyone taller than 5’ will have to duck in awkward positions. Good overall stay, would recommend for groups 4-8 people.

I do my due diligence when searching for a property. We took our family for 9 young adults and teens to Charleston. Upon arrival the parking is exactly as they state if you do not have a standard size car be prepared to walk a few blocks each day and pay $25 a night for each vehicle. Seriously you can’t fit anything larger than a standard vehicle. The downstairs bedroom electrical outlets, ceiling fan were all out. (They sent an electrician the next day) But still no electricity in the downstairs bedroom at all for the first 24 hours. The dryer only worked sporadically, I had the electrician check and he said it was a problem with the dryer. Again the owner attempted to help us by bringing us extra towels. Which we appreciate, but nine people in a house and no way to do laundry. Not ideal. Lastly the dishwasher did not work and there was no dishwashing soap for us to use for hand washing dishes so we had to deal with that . Simply put the owners tried to be helpful but it was frustrating. We paid a lot for a 3 day stay and each day we had something not working. Which caused us to worry about problems that you don’t want to deal with on vacation. The location is good if you want to be downtown. It’s an old house which is kinda cool except when things don’t work. Hope this helps someone who is searching like crazy for a place;)

Great!
We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend, and it looked just like the pictures, and the owners were responsive to our needs. There was a bathroom door issue, but other than that, I couldn't recommend it more highly enough! Great location.

Great house and great location!
Loved this house! It had a great set up - we were 4 moms and 4 girls who are going to CoC in the fall - we wanted to meet up and get the lay of the land. This house's set up was fantastic - giving everyone space and also great hang out spaces. The location is amazing - walkable to everything. Great communication too. The wifi was out but our phones worked. Just an FYI!

Cockroach 3 Flat
Our stay was not as expected it to be. The street where this VRBO is located is an up and coming area. It is 1 block off from King St but at the farthest north part of King.
As we enter the house, it was not fully cleaned. Dirty towels still in bathrooms, laundry in the machine, glitter throughout the 3 floors, it smelled like stale beer, counters were not fully wiped down and the worst part is that we were greeted by a 3 inch cockroach (aka palmetto bug) on the second floor in the hallway.
I completely understand this is a 100 year old structure but it looked like it hasn't received some love in MANY years. There were multiple holes in the walls, majority of the floors and walls were crooked and it needed a paint job throughout. The third floor is very unique. It is meant for someone under 5ft tall and the third floor bathroom shower and sink had zero pressure. We never used it!
The gathering area is very small and on the second floor. While the kitchen has a small bar top table on the side meant for two people and the island is not equipped for sitting at.
We did have communication with management during our stay and it was quick, at first. They did come back and give us clean towels, additional cleaning and mentioned they would spray for additional bugs. We did encounter another cockroach on the first floor on the third day of our stay and at that point we were done with this house.
We did leave the house a day early and checked into a hotel. We did tell management that we were leaving early to give them an extra day to clean and fix the multiple holes that were around the house. At that point, I asked for a day refund and then I never heard back from management.

From the beginning, the experience was a disaster. From the broken glass that wasn't cleaned (that my 5 year old walked through) to the bed sheets/and towels that were not changed (amidst COVID pandemic), this rental was brutal. The pictures of this property are arguably criminal as they detail the property as pristine. I can tell you - it is very short of it. There were multiple safety hazards including smoke alarms unplugged and hanging from the ceilings to missing banisters on railings (perfect for a 5 year old and a three year old. Aside from the paintless walls with holes, I'd rate the property's condition as a 3/10.If you are looking to park your car at the property, you have roughly 7' of horizontal space in which your car likely won't fit. I can assure you'll enjoy the walk to the parking garage. In fairness, the property manager gave me half of my money back (hilariously they did not refund my cleaning fee) for our stay. However, had all of my money been refunded, I wouldn't be writing this negative review (because, as a former world traveler of hostels in many foreign countries, it really was "that" bad).Cheers.

Great host! But misleading bed #
10/10 stay! The host answered any and all questions and the location couldn’t have been better! The driveway is VERY tight and you can only fit 2 small cars, and there are only 5 beds and 1 couch that doesn’t pull out, which is misleading. Other than that can’t complain!

Very walkable location. Any place you get near here will be close to the road and generally you will be able to hear road and foot traffic clearly. Appliances were the main issue of this rental, so if you plan to make use of the kitchen and washer dryer, look to see if the owners have replaced them all recently (fridge, washer, dryer, dishwasher). Things like linens and dishes were not completely clean, likely bc of the appliances.Plus side: Beds are super comfortable. Second floor porch catches the light and is lovely in the mid-morning. Three blocks from a great little bakery with great take out service, fresh pastries and yummy pretzels.Depending on who you are with and what you are doing during your trip, the interior layout is something to pay attention to. There is no really comfortable place to gather for meals together. Since all of our eating was delivery, take out or cook in, this was a little rough. (Perhaps during non- pandemic time people are not spending as much time inside the rental. There were four of us in three bedrooms and we had a hard time imagining every bed filled in the place; it would be really cramped unless you were only using the place as a crash pad at night.)Owners may need to double check the condition of the property a little more frequently- lights were not working in the kitchen and the master bathroom; paint job looked incomplete, one of us nearly fell out of one of the porch chairs that cracked when he sat down in it. Third floor bathroom lock did not work. Third floor ceilings are quite low, just be aware.Loved our time in Charleston— beautiful city with lots of outdoor places to walk and sites to see during this difficult time. Stay safe!

Overall satisfied with our stay.
Overall we were satisfied with our stay. The owner demonstrated excellent communication skills. He was in constant contact to make sure we had an excellent stay. The owner tells you about the tight parking situation, but you need to see it for yourself to understand. We did utilize the parking lot, but I don’t think that’s the best choice for everyone.

Needs work and serious cleaning!
I live in an 1822 house, so I understand the challenges of old house living. That being said, the upstairs is dreadful! The heat floods into the top floor, and remains at least 15-20 degrees hotter than the lower floors. There is no way to close the vents in either room, and so the heat cannot be rerouted to other areas of the house. We had to keep fans going around the clock to even be able to use the bathroom upstairs. I spent 2 miserably hot nights up there before bunking with one of my friends on the second floor, as the couches are filthy as well. I am attaching photos of these issues. The upstairs bathroom also is not clean. The shower has mold in the grout and the sink drains at a glacial pace, so all of the dirt stays in the sink and has to be wiped out after draining. Lastly, on the third floor, the door which covers the HVAC under the eave continued falling off in the middle of the night and scaring us to death. It desperately needs to be addressed.
In the kitchen, the coffee maker takes almost 20 minutes to brew a pot of coffee and the refrigerator door doesn’t close tightly, as the seal is broken. All of the food stayed sweaty during our trip. Unfortunately, these issues, especially the third floor, as two of us attempted to lodge in those bedrooms, made our trip less than enjoyable in your property.

Christmas in Charleston
This property is exactly as they describe it. Located a block off Upper King, it is close to some shopping and lots of restaurants. It is in a neighborhood in the middle of being revitalized. Ver walkable. It is over a mile to the big shopping area on lower King and the Market area. But still walkable.
We were 7 adults and never felt like we were on top of each other. Also appreciated that it was dog friendly and we could bring the fur babies for the holidays.
It is on three levels with two large outdoor area. The kitchen is well stocked which we appreciated since we cooked a lot. They kindly got us a folding table and chairs for dinner since there was not one in the house.
All the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. The third floor has low ceilings in places but hey it's a historic home! My kids loved it (they are adults).
Be aware that there are two parking spots, which is great since street parking is not available, but the drive to the parking in back is narrow. We had a Subaru and a small-mid size SUV and the fit was tight, so if you're renting a car, make it smaller. The neighbor behind us had a Suburban which could not make it. FYI, if you love to walk you don't need a car and my kids used an Ubber one night going out which was easy.
15 minutes to Sullivan Island for the beach, maybe a little more to Folly Beach. Easy access to I 25 and 17 to get out of the main part of Charleston- if you ant to but there is plenty to do in the area.
David responded immediately to any questions or requests. I highly recommend this home. Will definitely return.
