To get to the mayan ruins nearby a hand cranked ferry will shuttle your car or horse over the Mopan River through a jungle scenic drive to the site. Monkeys are commonly seen frequenting the trees around the temples. Buy some Mayan rugs or carved animal head masks at the shops there. Or a hammock! Exchange the cold winter air for warm tropical breezes and stay til your heart's content, a month to several months! Spotted recently on the cottage property; keel billed toucans, aracari, Montezuma Oropendola, hooded warbler, little hermit hummingbird, rufous tailed hummingbird, parrots, parakeets, mot mot, trogons and so much more. AND... If you stay with us in the garden cottages you get free entrance to the Belize Botanic Gardens and a free guided bird walk from your boardwalk! Enjoy the San Ignacio market and grab some great foods to bring back to your cottage kitchen for a totally new dining experience. Then lounge of the verandah hammock to take in the jungle birds and songs! A mighty comfy King size bed awaits you with a double futon for 2 more guests or kids. Bring the family for an awesome jungle experience or stay for a month at our discounted rates. the Macal River is just steps away from your cottage. A restaurant is a minute walk from your cottage. If you are more adventuresome, there are plenty of opportunities here from zip-lining the jungle, cave diving and cave tubing, visiting the blue hole, boating on the Macal River in Better in Belize and canoeing and kayak tour groups you can book in town!
