Breathtaking vistas await your large group at Orwell Cove Cottage, our modern, expansive waterfront paradise on Orwell Cove in Vernon Bridge. You will experience a real sense of space and privacy with the house set well in from the access road and surrounded on all sides by agricultural farmers fields which continue down to the shoreline. Although a local farmer keeps the land in-use, you can stroll down the tree-line to the shore where kids can explore or go digging for clams. Sunsets defy adequate descriptors from the outside deck and hot tub area to the 2 story vaulted ceiling living room with wall-to-wall floor-to-ceiling windows positioned due West for the most gorgeous and calming show on earth - sunset! Don’t worry if you miss a night - it encores daily and it never gets old!

Perfect for large groups, this large airy 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, fully outfitted year-round home sleeps 16. Our home is beautifully furnished with high quality comfortable furniture throughout every room. The bright, open concept kitchen, dining and living room areas provide easy entertaining and amazing views. The main living space, with its floor-to-ceiling cathedral windows overlooking the water, has a wood-burning stove, library of books, and smart TV for a cozy and entertaining evening. Never take your eyes off the water as you prepare your fresh island seafood in the modern, spacious, fully equipped kitchen. You can go through the garden doors to enjoy your meal outdoors on the expansive deck with hot tub and outdoor shower. Or you can cook outside, with our BBQ on the deck. After your busy day, enjoy the property and watch the stars come out.

While perfect for large groups, this home is sensibly laid out for privacy and comfort. The master bedroom is set high and alone on the upper level. It includes a large ensuite bathroom with jetted soaker tub, electric wall fireplace, walk-in closet, and queen bed. On the main floor, find a newly renovated and completely separate large in-law suite with 2 queen beds and 2 full trundles, where occupants throw the doors open for breezy access to the main living space or close the double set of lock-off doors to provide seclusion from the rest of the home. The in-law suite enjoys complete privacy while retaining unparalleled views from its own glass patio doors leading to a completely separate deck area out of view of the main home and other deck. The additional two bedrooms on the main floor form their own couplet off a bedroom hallway. In this hall, you will find the full-sized, vented laundry space, a queen bedroom with full ensuite bath and another bedroom with 2 full beds and one full pull-out sofa that is serviced by the full hall bathroom. This home has been recently renovated by its new owners for comfort, modernity, and sustainability. All beds feature Canadian high quality Medicoil mattresses. There are new Toto toilets, hi-speed internet, a Tesla car-charger, and high efficiency heat pumps with air conditioning.

Conveniently located just over 20 minutes away is the Town of Stratford, where you can find all your groceries, alcohol, gas, and restaurants. Great golf courses are nearby as well with Belfast Highland Greens only an 8 minute drive, Brudenell River and Dundarave about 25 minutes, and The Links of Crowbush Cove about 35 minutes. We are only 30 minutes drive from Charlottetown and the International Airport. It is just 22 minutes to Wood Island Ferry to Nova Scotia. On the Points East Coastal Drive, you are centrally located to explore all along the coast. Discover the beautiful historic fishing village, Murray Harbour, as you wind your way north to Basin Head Provincial Park and the white silica sands that stretch for miles along ‘Singing Sands’ Beach. Brackley Beach, with its towering dunes and white sand beach in the National Park, is less than forty minutes away. Greenwich Beach is also less than an hour’s drive. It features a breathtaking floating boardwalk, another white sand beach, and numerous pleasant walking trails.

Wonderful house for a family get-together

Wonderful house for a family get-together

We stayed here as a family of 7 adults and 4 children for 1 week and the place was amazing. Lots of room for everybody, a great back yard with pool and hot tub. The kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking up all of the wonderful fresh food available on the island. The location is great in that it's nice and quiet...the downside to that is that it's a bit of a drive to get groceries/supplies, but considering the beauty of that location it's a worthwhile tradeoff. Property management was quick to respond to our inquiries, and provided easy and clear instructions for how to get into the house on arrival and how to leave it at the end.

Great Place for a Family Vacation!

Place was very clean, spacious, and located in a quiet area with lots of privacy. Kitchen, dining and family room were open with lots of storage, dishes and seating for our large extended family. Perfect for cooking big meals, and playing card and board games around the large table. There was lots of sleeping room for 8 adults and a bunch of kids aged 2 to 11 years. Kids took turns hanging out in each of the rooms and the place never felt crowded. Just an hr from the Cavandish area with its beautiful beach, Anne of Green Gables site, a waterpark, etc., Also, around an hr from another beautiful, little less crowded beach in Basin Head. Most of all we enjoyed spending time at the house and in the pool and hot tub. Place was equipped with a washer and dryer which was greatly appreciated, even though they were located close to the living area and the dryer could be a little loud. Would highly recommended this place for a family vacation!!

Perfect Family Getaway

Perfect Family Getaway

The house was perfect for our two families. We cooked family meals. We swam and relaxed in the hot tub and pool. We played games at the huge dining room table and on the lawn. The house was very quiet and and private, surrounded by ocean and farm land. There was plenty privacy for 4 adults, 4 teenagers and an eight year old. We also had plenty of family time in the large open kitchen, dining, living room area. There was lots of sleeping room and easily could have accommodated more people. We were close to many beaches and restaurants on a beautiful island. Our favorite was Greenwich Beach. We will recommend this place to our friends as a great place for a family vacation.
