Come enjoy the perfect retreat located in the Talmont Estate* area of Tahoe City. This modern rustic home has breathtaking lake views from all three levels. It borders beautiful wooded open land seen from the eating area, kitchen and master bedroom windows. Stylishly decorated and well appointed throughout.
Back patio with a fire pit and hot tub for relaxing. Or, sit on decks and enjoy the views.
Enjoy the modern kitchen with new appliances, quartzite marble counters and all the conviences you need to create fabulous meals. Kitchen/ family room are open and have many large windows bringing in the beauty and light from the outside, showcasing the beautiful lake views. The color palette of the main living space is purposely neutral to not distract or compete with the views and outdoor focal point. 52 inch flat screen in family room. Surround sound throughout most of house. This second floor level has a private bedroom with a queen bed and a separate half bath.
Lay in the primary bed and look out and see Lake Tahoe from the top floor window and mountain views out the others. There is a sitting area with a big screen television and an en suite bathroom with a separate tub and shower. The master bedroom also has a yoga and meditation alcove. The other bedroom on this level has an extra long twin bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. This room also has a flat screen t.v.
The bunk room on the first floor has a queen bed and three extra long twins. This room has a large screen television, play station and bean bag lounger. It is a perfect floor to separate families if sharing the house. This floor has it's own bathroom , with a shower/tub located conviently next to bunk room. The laundry room is also on this level.
Your rental will include access to Tahoe Park, a private lake front beach club with two piers, BBQ's, picnic tables, volleyball, basket ball, horse shoes and children's playground.
The home is located close to Palisades, Alpine Meadows and Homewood Resorts. It is also minutes from Paige Meadows, perfect for hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. The home is just two miles from the heart of Tahoe City and all it has to offer. Located less then a quarter mile away is the West Shore Market. A gourmet locally owned market and deli featuring organic produce, fresh baked goods, coffee bar, gelato bar, artisan cheese, wine cellar and speciality beers. Everything you need to stock the fridge or make a picnic. Blue Moon market close by is an excellent source for your organic needs.

Minimum Age to rent- 30 years old No exceptions on maximum occupancy of 8 people. The home is better suited for able adults and older children due to stairs, high bunk beds and other conditions.
Please note: The Talmont area is higher elevation, if snowing you will need a four wheel drive and/or snow chains. The roads can be slippery and icy. Driveway is long and steep. If the storm is big, it may be impassable. We have a plow service. It is kept plowed during the winter as much as possible. If it continues to snow, he will make his rounds multiple times. But, this means at times, the driveway may have 3-4 inches of snow while waiting for the driver to make the rounds again. The snow plow is not on call for immediate attention to the driveway. You may have to wait.
Weather permitting, we have regular shoveling of stone walkways and decks. At times, there may be power outages and other dilemmas caused by storms. Mother Nature is at her finest up here and can be in charge. It is a winter wonderland when snowing and you can enjoy the breath taking views through our many windows. No refunds due to weather, illnesses and Mother Nature happenings.
We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover stay. You never know if someone becomes ill and can not travel or Mother Nature decides to do her thing.

The host was a nightmare to deal with. First, she will watch your comings and goings through security cameras. She forgot she approved extra guests and contacted us while on the trip to say she had been watching us through surveillance cameras. We have communications where she approved extra guests. We think this is just another way for her to shack some money out of us.
The host claimed we damaged rare vintage furniture. She lied, she exaggerated and is threatening to take us to collections and small claims court for damage that we did not do. We think we are being scammed.
We were three families - a lawyer, a venture capitalist and a software owner. None of us would lie or hesitate to pay for any damage that we did.

Well maintained, clean and well equipped little oasis.
We came for a 3 night get away and to see some snow. We arrived to a lovely little tri level home. The kitchen had all the odds and ends you tend to need.... eg spices, equipment and foil. The owner even left a bottle of wine and beverages for guests. We never had to leave. We did venture to the nearby lake front for my child to get out a bit. The rooms were comfortable and as i said...we relaxed. We will be back. The snow really showed up lol and we watched it fall peacefully by the fire.

We really enjoyed staying here. The home is beautifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you need, and the deck is a great place to have a cup of coffee and take in the view. We spent one afternoon down at the beach club, which is amazing. Grab sandwiches at the west shore market and let your kids jump off the dock for hours.

Perfect Weekend
Our family of five had an amazing time at this home. It is perfect in every way. The location is wonderful - so close to things yet gives you the feeling of being away. House perfectly sited on lot - windows only show you the trees or the amazing view. House had everything we needed. It definitely felt like we were staying at a friend’s perfectly appointed cabin. Perfect
The tri-level design of this house is outstanding for a multi-generational family and the location is ideal. The home is extremely well decorated - like a five star hotel with the added benefit of 3.5 bathrooms and a beautiful kitchen that includes everything you need. The views are stunning. Jennifer is very easy to contact and did what she could to help us during the huge snowstorm. I highly recommend this rental!

Lake Tahoe Family Vacation
The Talmont home was perfect for a family vacation with our adult children. We had the best time! The home was fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy cooking meals together, hanging out on the deck and patio, playing games, reading, and resting after full days of adventure. The home is in a beautiful, serene location with gorgeous lake views, yet near restaurants and shopping. Amazing Mountain getaway
This property far exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect: close to the Lake, Tahoe City and Squaw Alpine. The views were fantastic and the house itself was so well done. The home is very well built and has fantastic finishes and furnishings. Not your typical rental home, this is clearly a home that was built with love and care by the owner for their own use. It's perfectly spacious and comfortable. I can't wait to return.

The house is absolutely gorgeous! The remodel was nicely done and the house looks great!! It's clean, which is a big factor for me!! Looking clean and actually being clean are 2 different things, and the house was actually clean! The house is beautiful and the owner is very responsive to any questions that may arise while on site. The kids had a great time playing the backyard with the snow and the adults had a good time relaxing and enjoying the view!

Not your average rental
This is an impeccably clean and well-designed home. Staying here was like being in a stylish 5 star hotel - so comfortable and beautiful that we wished we could live here. This is NOT a high-turnover rental that cuts corners, as most "4 and 5 star" rentals on VRBO or AirBnB are. These owners have clearly put a lot of thought into special design details, which cannot be captured by photos. The only problem we encountered was that we could not get our 4x4 SUVs up the steep driveway in a snowstorm, but we are in Tahoe where snow is part of life.

Such a beautiful, well-appointed house
We loved our stay here. While there are a lot of rules and guidelines to follow, any homeowner would know, that's how you keep such a nice cabin, NICE. The pictures dont do justice to the perfect little details that give the house a luxurious, yet comfortable feeling. You can tell that Jen put a lot of thought into every decoration and each pinterest-perfect corner of the house.

This Tahoe home is beautiful. The owners have supplied everything for a amazing time in gods country. Lifting my head up from my pillow with a view of Lake Tahoe is awesome. What an amazing place, it really has it all. We have stayed in a ton of vacation rentals and this one has been one of the very best. This is really a special place, spotless, awesome view, close to everything. If you love cooking, the kitchen is FULLY stocked. As in, you will not be want for anything. The beds were super comfy, plenty of towels, and so well decorated. The owner is very thoughtful and has really thought of everything!

Wonderful Stylish House in Tahoe City
I rented the house for my family over the Christmas Holiday. The house is brand new and beautiful. The decor and feel is modern and has a sweetness to it that makes you feel right at home. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful all along the way. We built fires, played games, cooked in the beautiful kitchen. The kitchen was well appointed and a pleasure to cook in. Each of the rooms provided a sanctuary for all of us and the view of Lake Tahoe is beyond gorgeous from the balconies. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Jennifer!

Family vacation
We had a wonderful time at your house. It has all of the amenities you would need to make your vacation perfect. It is decorated beautifully and so well maintained. The homeowner's beach nearby was so much fun for the children. We rented kayaks and paddle boards and walked to the little market for sandwiches at lunch. Beautiful Mountain get away!
This was our first VRBO experience and the bar was set HIGH! This home is fantastic. Exactly like the description and pictures. Close to Tahoe City, the lake, and the ski hills. There was more than enough space for our family, it was great to be able to spread out. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen, comfortable beds, a fantastic deck with a great view, beautiful decor, responsive home owners with attention to detail. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Cabin with Beautiful View
We enjoyed staying at this cabin so much! It was a beautiful cabin of top quality and greatly furnished. The view of the lake was so wonderful to wake up to every morning! The outside grill was great to cook dinner on. The owner was SO helpful and responded quickly. She checked on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would love to come back. There was so much to do in the area. We took a drive south on 89 and went around the lake (beautiful views), we rented bikes and rode along Truckee River and also another day along the west shore of Lake Tahoe. We ate dinner at West Shore Café on the night of a full moon, visited the town of Truckee (recommend Bar of America for dinner/great food), and hiked the Lighthouse-Rubicon loop trail. We also rented a boat from nearby Sunnyside Lodge one day and went to Emerald Bay. The cabin comes with access to Lake Tahoe Park which is close by. It has a private access and there is a beach, 2 piers, picnic tables and grills. We wish we would have reserved a picnic table in advance so we could have grilled out and had dinner there- next time we will! We highly recommend this cabin.

We could not have had a better Vac./fam. reunion. Lk. Tahoe & views are stunning. so much to do. The weather was perfect, only saw a cloud on last day. We all truly fell in love with house & location. having Paige meadows at top of hill to hike thru, private beach right below house, close to every thing [truckee river] It is the perfect spot & house. The house is beatifully finished & furnished, very comfortable We had 3 families/ 10 people & it worked out great. The lay-out is perfect with the 3 floors. The owners are great [wanting us to have best experience ] we can't wait to return
