very very nice

This is a lovely pub in a lovely village. Lovely food, lovely rooms. It's really nice and well priced.

The breakfast is too late for people travelling for work. I stayed a few times, but ultimately I had to change to use other hotels with earlier breakfasts.

Enjoyable stay

Second time staying here . Staff are lovely very attentive . Good clean comfy rooms and breakfast is spot on . We had dinner here also and have ate a few times on other visits . It ticks all of our boxes and pet friendly also . Will book again in the future

Super Pub/Hotel in a very interesting village.

A thriving Pub/Hotel with owners and staff to match. Broughton is a hidden gem. Food excellent and available all day. Rooms light and airy, more like a small Manor House than Pub. Really great place to stay, with thanks particularly to Lorna and Darren, not forgetting all others such as Bren and Scarlett😀

The rain needed turning down a bit.

Our experience was excellent!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The room was comfortable and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of The Old Kings Head was wonderful and Broughton in Furness is a really lovely village.

A perfect pub in a delightful location.

A warm welcome, very good breakfasts and a nice beer garden. My room was a delight with well-stocked hospitality tray and the shower-room was clean, bright and had a lovely range of toiletries. Broughton is a special place with a lovely park for walking my dog.

Weekend trip

All the staff were lovely, food was great and accommodation was lovely. The owners made us feel really welcome. It felt like home from home.

The staff were very accommodating and welcomed us on arrival. All questions were answered and the room was set up for us as requested. Professional and friendly staff throughout the stay. The food was excellent and good value. We certainly recommend this accommodation and will visit again

Lovely place to stay, would highly recommend and only a 20 minute drive from Windermere

Lovely pub/hotel, our room was spotless and cosy with kettle, coffee/tea/biscuits in the room, we ate in the restaurant for evening meal (fish and chips) and also had breakfast the food was excellent and great value for money, the staff were friendly and we were very happy with the choice of place to stay.

welcoming, comfortable and convenient

Booked initially as just a base camp as myself and my wife visited areas of the lakes and clambered up Scafell pike however it was much more than we hoped for, lovely well serviced room with comfortable clean firm bed excellent breakfast and a great selection of evening meals from the pubs A la carte menu, which in turn were very tasty!

A good place to stop in the Southern Lakes

Second visit to the Old Kings Head this month and as before we found it to be welcoming, with a smart bathroom and newly decorated comfortable bedroom. The full English breakfast was ample, well cooked and nicely served, the evening meal menu was of good "pub" grub again ample, well cooked . Good selection of hand pulled craft beers and a roaring log/coal fire The hosts and staff were excellent and helpfull A very welcoming hostelry!!!!

Maybe another chair in the bedroom if I was being picky- everything else was fine
