About this cottage rental

This is a sweet 1930's cottage that has been lovingly updated while leaving its charm. The location is ideal for a family vacation in Ocean Springs. The beach and harbor are within walking distance. There is a beautiful pathway on the beach passing the Ft. Maurepas Park and fishing pier. In season the shrimp boats sell their catch to the public, and charter boats are available. There is another Children's' Park 3 blocks from the cottage, and a soccer field and walking track only a block away. The cottage is equipped with everything you'll need for a pleasant stay of a weekend, week or longer. Check with us about extended stays.

Downtown Ocean Springs is a pleasant walk of 3 blocks and is full of restaurants, pubs, shops and art galleries. Or you might prefer to rent a golf cart or bicycle to cruise around town. Both are available near by. But, first and foremost, Ocean Springs is an old fashioned town with shops, restaurants, art galleries, banks, and churches. The Walter Anderson Museum and Shearwater Pottery are nationally known and acclaimed. This beautiful little town, with its tree shaded streets has been featured many times in travel magazines, and others such as Southern Living. Be sure to check the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce for its full schedule of festivals and other events.

In the event that you want more adult activities, the casinos in Biloxi are a short drive over the new Biloxi Bay bridge - also a popular walking route. Golf courses are available in Ocean Springs, as well as its neighboring cities.

My husband and I stayed 5 days in a comfortable, charming bungalow. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and in close proximity to downtown Ocean Springs, the beach, Walter Anderson museum and Shearwater pottery. The home was clean and well appointed. Great art and books. The owner pays attention to detail, and is readily available by text.

Very much enjoyed our vacation and looking forward to next year. Close location to downtown area with shops and restaurants. Walking is easy, but many people use golf carts and biking is encouraged. House has all the things you need, and owner is very responsive. Quiet, private location.

Ocean Springs is a coastal Mississippi jewel and this cottage is a reflection of what makes the place special. From the front porch to the back patio, there is art everywhere. The library is amazing and the kitchen is well equipped. A perfect home away from home and I hope to return again soon.

Very cute house and lots of artsy decor. Mostly cleaned well except the rug in the master needed to be cleaned and just a very few other spots. Nice back yard to set in even when it was still hot(Aug) in the early evening. Just a commit about the showerheads: as I'm 6'5" and these were the lowest shower heads I've ever seen. You Might change one of the showers to a "gooseneck" type to make it higher= cost $20.00+-. This was not a defect just an improvement to the place. Enjoyed it thanks KS

This home has everything needed for a very nice time away. We cooked some meals in the fully equipped kitchen, including a Weber grill in the back yard. We walked to restaurants and shops, and we rode our bikes to the beach, around town, and across the Biloxi bridge. Beds and furniture are very comfortable. A/c worked well on very hot days! Wi-Fi a plus, considering we did have to do some real "work". We will chose this home when we visit Ocean Springs again!

My husband and our 2 Westies stayed in the Russell Cottage and regret that we didn’t plan to stay longer! The cottage is within easy walking distance to downtown Ocean Springs. We have never visited the area before and we fell in love with it. Beth has furnished this cottage beautifully and the cottage was well-stocked. The mattress in the main bedroom was so comfortable!! (Don’t know about the 2nd bedroom since didn’t use it.) The backyard was a tranquil oasis, we only wish it had been a bit cooler so we could have stayed out there more (our westies loved it too)! We’ll definitely make plans to return!!

Wonderful house!!! Furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. Beds and linens were top rate. The owner was very easy to communicate with and help with the area. We plan on visiting the area again and rent the gem of a rental house. FYI- it has a she shed too!

We've been to Ocean Springs 3 times and this property was much nicer than the other two. Location was perfect for a nice walk to downtown or to the beach front. We would certainly try to stay here again if available on our next trip to the area,

This cottage was home from home,location couldn't have been better,a 5 to ten minuet walk to the center and beach,the cottage has everything you need for a lovely comfortable stay and very spacious, Beth &Jack are very warm and welcoming and there is lots of helpful information in the pack they leave for you,couldn't have hoped for better,we loved it and hopefully be returning again

First stay in Ocean Springs. The house was clean, (needing some touch up paint in places), and the host was cordial and available. The second bedroom did not have a "real" bed. Two futons were placed on the floor. So if you need real sleeping accommodations in the second bedroom, confirm that a bed is in place. The neighborhood was marginal; One side of the house was great, the other not so much. We felt safe though. We were traveling with two small pets, and the fenced yard was a plus.

My husband and I visited Ocean Springs to see Louis Sullivan's 1890 Charnley-Norwood house, and this cottage was the perfect location between the beach, the historic house, and "downtown." Like any other option in the area, the unavoidable train horns were noticeable, but everything else was excellent. The shower heads are hilariously low, but my hair enjoyed the soft water. I cooked breakfast in the kitchen and enjoyed coffee in the back yard. The cottage is clean, safe, and comfortable. If we visit the area in the future, I would book this cottage again. Thanks to our hosts!

House was nice but found a dirty Q-tip in Bathroom so not sure if they cleaned well, the rest of the house looked fine. Was a musty smell but we opened the windows and lite some candles then it was fine. It’s a great location real close to downtown. We ate in downtown Ocean Springs several times and it was all very good.

We met my husband's twin brother (from another state also) for their 62nd birthday. They were able to spend time around a table, sharing meals, game nights & memories with local family... we could walk every where in this sweet village. The fenced back yard made it easier for our frenchie. Location was perfect, larger entertainment was not far away.

I will definitely be back, the fees are tremendous and the cottage you get is perfect, quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors. Close to beach and the whole town is beautiful and friendly.
