About this house rental
Welcome to your vacation villa in Rotonda West, Florida. Rotonda is on the southwest coast of Florida in an area known as Cape Haze. This is a deed-restricted community with twenty six miles of canals, ponds and lakes. The nature lover in you will enjoy your villa’s setting on one of Rotonda’s many ponds, which support an abundant of wildlife, including bobcats, coyotes, racoons, osprey, egrets, and other birds. To complement the tranquility of the pond, this attractively-landscaped villa is on a quiet side street, off the main roads. There are walking trails, tennis courts with pickleball nets, and a playground for children in the nearby Rotonda Community Park. Rotonda West offers 5 golf courses of different difficulties, and there are many more courses in the surrounding communities. There are numerous other nearby venues with tennis, pickleball, basketball, and baseball facilities. Within 15 miles, there are dozens of hiking trails in the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park, Myakka River State Forest, and several other nature preserves. The Englewood city beach with some free parking is only a 20 minute drive away, while the Don Pedro Island State Park entrance is only 12 minutes away. Winn-Dixie is 3 miles; Publix is 7 miles; Walmart and Home Depot are 5 miles.
Your villa provides luxurious indoor and outdoor living. The master bedroom, living room, dining room and one guest bedroom have sliding glass doors that provide a sweeping view of oak, pine and palm forest surrounding the pond as well as easy access to the expansive, fully-screened lanai and pool area. Watch egrets come in to roost as you enjoy beautiful Florida sunsets across the pond. The doors and screened windows can be opened to provide wonderful cross ventilation of the Florida breezes while avoiding mosquitoes. The villa is fully air-conditioned with electric central heating for the rare cold days. The pool area has tables, gas grill, and other furniture for dining, snacking, playing cards, or just relaxing in the sun. The pool can be heated by a solar heater and further heated by an electric heat pump.
The Master suite has a king-sized bed, bedside lights, tables and chairs, ceiling fan and light, bureau, tv, clock radio ,and his and her walk-in closets. Lots of book shelves provide easy storage. The attached master bath has an easy step-in shower, his and her sinks, and a separate lighted vanity area with mirror. The toilet area is separate from the bath area. All bed and bath linens and hair dryer are provided.
One guest room has a queen-sized bed, and the second guest room has twin beds. Each room has its own ceiling fan and light, bedside table, and screened windows. Each room has a bureau and big closet. The guest bath has a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. All bed linens and towel sets are furnished, including towels for the swimming pool and the beach.
The living room has comfy couches, overhead light and fan, a large screen television, and adjoining area with a game table and chairs. Internet access and cable tv are provided. Plenty of book shelves line one wall and hold books and games for your entertainment. The dining room table has ample room to seat six comfortably, and eight people with an available leaf. You can eat your meals while enjoying the views of the pond.
The kitchen has all up-to-date appliances: refrigerator with a bottom pullout freezer, gas range, electric oven, microwave, and dishwasher. A spacious pantry unit provides storage for food, while a separate unit holds dishes. The kitchen is completely furnished with everything from crock pot to coffee pot, blender to mixer, and complete cooking utensils. Place mats, cloth napkins, tea towels and kitchen hand towels are neatly tucked in kitchen drawers for ready use. There is a complete set of cookware and sets of dishes and eating utensils for eight.
As you pass through the kitchen to the garage, you can see the washer and dryer, along with another pantry area for cleaning supplies and other miscellaneous storage. The spacious two-car garage will comfortably house your car, has an electric door opener, and holds beach furniture, such as chairs, umbrellas, etc.

We fell in love with the property at first sight. However the view from the patio was something else it was stunning. David Attenborough would have loved the wildlife on show and we got a glimpse of our first Coyote in the wild.
The pool was as large as any of the villas we have previously visited in Rotonda. I amazed my wife I rarely use the pool, but this holiday I went in daily it was that good and to quote my wife, 'Just like getting in the bath'.
The property company were very amenable and allowed us a late checkout.
The only downside was having to leave, but I'm confident we'll return next year if it's available

We stayed for three days with our three children and had an amazing time. The house is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, very clean and well-stocked. The highlight is the amazing pool and lanai. Our kids swam the whole time and we saw lots of beautiful wildlife in the lake.

Great property, kitchen a little dingy but outdoor lanai and pool make up for kitchen. Downside: property for six people only two pool loungers..not enough and beach chairs are not suitable ,more for fishermen and no umbrella but saying all this we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very quiet and we enjoyed the privacy and the sounds of nature. The pool was solar heated and it stayed between 85-87°. I like the pool on the warm side and it was perfect! The house was well stocked with basic necessities and a full kitchen. Rotonda West is a nice area and it was easy to navigate. Would definitely recommend this place!

once we got in things were perfect. we arrived after dark and there was a little confusion, the house was not well lit and the address was on a mailbox across the street. we called Jean and she set us straight. :) the ac was not running the second day so Jean sent her husband over within 10 minutes, he could not fix it but they had a service company over within 1 hour that got it up and running! things can go wrong at any time but they had things handled on the spot!!! excellent service!!! the neighborhood was quiet and the house is very private. we would come back again and recommend to anybody. thanks!!

Wonderful Stay
We have stayed in Englewood a few times but not at this property and have to say its the best property we have stayed in. Fantastic facilities my daughter loved the swimming pool and learnt to swim in it. The property is in a good location and isn't too far from the beaches and amenities.
We will definitely be returning! Thank you for making my daughters first experience in Englewood a happy one.

Great Stay
This worked out perfect for us. The home was clean , plenty of room, supplied with everything we needed. We lucked out the weather was fantastic!! So we got to use the pool area on a daily basis. If more than 2 people staying could use more lounge chairs, only had 2. The area was very nice, very quite. You had to drive 10-15 minutes to get to any stores or restaurants. But Allin all it worked out perfect for my wife and I. I would stay there again. Thank you.

Excellent Lodging With Room For Potential Improvement
A truly excellent vacation lodging that we would not hesitate to book again. Areas of potential improvement are:
1. Pool needs a deep cleansing. There is some green algae growth between the tiles. Also , the pool floor needs sweeping/vacuuming.
2. The barbeque grill also needs a serious cleaning, appears that it has been a very long time since it was last cleaned. We used it several times but always used aluminum foil to mitigate any further grease and soot build up.

Loved the pool, very relaxing! Could use a couple more lounger chairs. Most areas of the home were exceptionally clean. Very calm, quiet neighborhood. Had a great time!

Family vacation
We loved the property so much we spent most of our time right around the pool area! The backyard gave us the experience of wildlife with 2 kinds of herons nesting nearby, a bobcat walking through the backyard ( really, we have pictures) and alligators lurking in the pond.
The home was clean, spacious, with a game table room we enjoyed each evening too!

Very quiet neighborhood, lovely home
The property is beautiful, very quiet neighborhood, no shopping within walking distance but plenty of wildlife. Sitting by the pool watching a bobcat walk by, hearing alligators and watching turtles and birds diving for fish was so relaxing. It is a wonderful home and well equipped for the beach trips. If there were any disappointments it would be the lack of essentials in the home. Only Two rolls of toilet paper and one of paper towels, no laundry detergent and little soaps. I realize they are consumables but we ended up spending over $50.00 to stock these items for ourselves. I mentioned this to the RE company and the owners had items delivered to us next day, which I was very grateful for, however by this time I had already purchased them for ourselves as 2 rolls of TP and 1 of paper towels for 5 people and 10 days just are not enough. Outside of this the area is beautiful but just very quiet.

Wonderful home and pool
The home and pool are beautiful. Everything was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen was very well stocked with all the tools you would need. The beds are very comfortable. Plenty of closet and storage space to keep your items tidy but accessible during your stay.
Location was great and easy to get around to restaurants and beaches (about 20 mins to Englewood).
There are 2 TVs in the house. One in the master and living room. No TVs in the other bedrooms.
Some of the chairs around the round table need replaced or fixed, they are very wobbly and unsafe.
The beach gear was very nice to have and the wagon helped us out a lot.
Communication was ok. I asked a couple questions about particular items the house might have before our stay and never received a response. I did receive messages about other concerns, rules etc. but my questions were not answered.
Overall we had a wonderful vacation and I would recommend this home and stay again. The pool was amazing. Half of it is 4 ft or so deep so my kids had a lot of room to play where they could still touch. It’s private. The canal behind the pool was a really nice perk for seeing some wildlife.
