About this house rental
Our Beach Oasis is a comfortable, oceanside 5-bedroom home ideally located in the Whalehead Beach neighborhood of Corolla. Decks on both sides of the house offer sun as well as shade under the covered decks, especially for 4-footed family members as the house is dog-friendly for up to 2 dogs. You'll have the best of both worlds by being close to the beach access (850 feet) while enjoying a spacious pool area with a gazebo.

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room includes the Living area with a flat-screen TV and deck access, Dining area (seats 10), Kitchen with Bar Island (seats 4). A King Jr. Master Suite has a semi-private full bathroom is on this floor. This bathroom also has access to the Living area. There is a screened porch and a large sun deck with views to the north, east and south.
MID LEVEL:
A King Jr. Master Suite has a flat-screen TV and its semi-private bath (shower/tub combo) is shared with a bedroom that has both a Bunk Bed set and a single Twin bed. The Queen Master Suite on this level has deck access; its master bath has a large soaking tub and stand-up shower.
GROUND LEVEL:
A bedroom has a Queen and 2 Twin beds with a new full bathroom and the laundry area nearby. An extra fridge is available for groceries and beverages.
EXTRAS:
The private pool measures 12' x 29' and a pool gazebo is will provide shade on hot days. A park-style grill is available and don't forget, there is also a hot tub for the adults to enjoy. Families can enjoy spending time together by playing on the private volleyball court or shooting hoops into the basketball hoop in the front driveway.

This was our son's first trip to the OBX and my husband and my first trip in many many years. It's obvious that a lot of love and tender memories happened (and continue) to happen in this house. It was relaxing and instantly familiar. We were both teleported back to an easier time in each of our childhoods when things were slower. This house was warm and inviting and while the floors were quite dirty, it was no harm (it's the beach after all) and nothing a little sweeping of our own couldn't fix. We are particular about this sort of thing and bring cleaning supplies no matter where we go anyway, so not a dig on the property at all.
We had one small mishap with wasps in the gazebo by the pool and hanging around one of the upper decks, but property management was SUPER responsive and sent someone over right away. Not a big deal or anyone at fault, we deal with this in our own home, it's impossible to keep them away if you have any kind of wood decking or gazebo.
The only thing I will say is some parts of the house and exterior decking needed some TLC and upgrades. You can see where some of the decking is rotting and water damage on some of the ceilings in the bathrooms (all old/dry, however).
Still, we would stay here again it has a FANTASTIC location near the beach, grocery store, shops + restaurants and water sports on the sound side right across rt 12. Literally a 10 min walk. We got to hop on jet skis and walk right back home.

This location is amazing as it's close to a wonderful beach and other amenities. The house was large enough for our extended family of 10. The house is older and in need of maintenance, deep cleaning, a bug control.

Fantastic property only 2 blocks from the beach and only a short walk to the Food Lion and shopping. Our family loved this house and all the amenities - especially the pool. Very relaxing to come back from the beach and get a little pool time before cleaning up and grilling dinner or whatever else. Very centrally located in Corolla to other activities as well. We're hoping to rent again next yr.

The house was filthy. They did not sweep, vacuum or mop any of the floors. You could actually see stains from the previous renters. There was sand on the bedroom floor, dog hair in one of the bathrooms as well as the kitchen floor. When you entered the house it smelt like wet dog and got worse as you went up to each floor. I have a dog, our house doesn’t smell. The living room furniture smelled like wet dog, and desperately needs cleaning. The sheet & towels were clean and fresh however, the bed spreads, quilts etc. have not been washed in a while. They are certainly not washed after each renter. The house is run down, they need to put some money into it to make it look updated and modern.
The pool was not serviced. Although the pool says no diving it does not provide the depth and my brother injured himself.
I would avoid renting any house managed by Paramount Destinations. I complained and they did nothing about it. They told me they would speak to the cleaners. They should have sent someone over that day to vacuum & mop the floors as well as wash the bedspreads.
Corolla is a beautiful place, I would definitely visit again however, I would stay somewhere else.

You could really tell this home is loved. An amazing property with the perfect location. Close to shopping, great ice cream, and fun for everyone. Easy short walk to the beach! Highly recommend.

Loved the location. Loved the set up of the house. Over all cleanliness was decent. We noticed a hole in the wall when we got there. They should’ve atleast let us know they were taking care of it so we wouldn’t worry that they would think we did it. Lol.
Kitchen needed an overhaul, new pans would be nice, Was difficult to cook with them. Grill should have been cleaned out before we got there, it was overflowing with debris. And once a month they should really change the moldy shower curtains.

This is a great house. The location can not be beat. So convenient for families especially those with older kids who want a bit of freedom. The house itself is a little outdated but extremely comfortable, clean and functional. The fenced in yard for the dogs was so nice though I wish it could have been accessed from a deck. Great little pool. Quick beach access. Great neighborhood for bike riding.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was roomy and clean. The walk to the beach was short with easy access to the public access point. The pool and hot tub were a hit.

Outdoor Treasure
My family of 7 and our two dogs stayed over Memorial Day week. The pictures of this property doesn't do it justice.
First off the location couldn't have been better!! It was less than a five minute walk to the beach which was never crowded the way it is in Duck. There were so many little spots inside and out to read, workout or just some quiet time. There was a fenced in play area that had horseshoes, (we took our own cornhole game) a separate volleyball area (bring your own ball) and another fenced in pool/jacuzzi area. There is also a covered dining area to get out of the sun while still being in all the action. There is also an outdoor shower that had fabulous water pressure in addition to a hose to rinse the dogs after going to the beach. The decks have gates to keep kids/animals from getting out into the street or pool area without notice.
The main floor and kitchen is very spacious and perfect for everyone to cook and hang together. There were plenty bedrooms and sleeping areas and all said beds were comfortable.
The home is dated and the owners are doing updates a little at a time. It does have carpet and probably could be cleaned more frequently. I paid money charged for my dogs which I was fine with but where does that money go? It should go to clean the carpet after each stay. While the kitchen is pretty stocked with cookware and dishes, it is pieced together with old ratty stuff. I had to run all cookware, dishes, glasses and utensils through the dishwasher before using. Fortunately I have stayed in many vacation rentals and brought my own spices, serving platters, dish towels, toilet paper, paper towels, throw blankets and shower rugs. The cleaning service left a bag with a tiny bottle of soap, a sponge, 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels.
We had to call the property management because there were ants and the gate latch didn't close to the fenced yard. They brought out stuff for the ants right away. We just used a bungee cord to close gate but suggested they get it fixed before the next group.
We usually stay further south but really enjoyed the calmness of Corolla. There is still lots to do and see plus great restaurants within walking distance from Our Beach Oasis!!
After giving all the good and the bad, we had a great time and this property is worth the money we paid. We will certainly keep it on our short list for next summer. Looking forward to seeing more property updates:)

New property owners
Excellent location and amenities; however, the new property owners are soliciting suggestions for improvements. 1) the care of the property exterior needs help, especially areas that have become overgrown with spiderwebs. The street lighting is very limited, so the exterior lighting for the house could be improved. Inside, the shag carpet is dated and could be replaced with a Berber that might be easier to keep clean. The kitchen was very well stocked, but the listing didn’t mention the presence of dishwater, glassware, or flatware.The listing noted a drip coffee maker, but there is also a Keurig. Knowing that would have been helpful. Most linens are provided, but we were surprised that no bath mat was included (not even a washable terry bathmat). We enjoyed our stay, and I believe the property will be even better as the new owners make improvements. Thanks.

Wonderful Stay
A wonderful stay for my family and grandbabies. Very comfortable and clean and a wonderful pool and hotub. We ate several meals poolside and enjoyed it very much. The best of all was the proximity to the beach for early morning and evening walks as well as swimming and soaking up the sun. Highly recommend this lovely rental.

Great location
The location is perfect for walking distance to beach, restaurants and shopping. Perfect for families, felt safe. The house had many wonderful updates that we enjoyed, especially the pool/hot tub/gazebo area. The outside decks were wonderful for relaxing and reading a book, with a small view of the ocean. The inside house decor was beachy and bright and the owners did a great job decorating. Although the house was dated(not a big deal) the home could use more attention to the cleanliness of the home, especially in these covid times.

Great family beach house
The house was clean and wonderfully located. It's a short walk to the beach, and a short walk to a shopping center with some restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. The pool is a great size, and the outdoor areas are awesome with plenty of seating. There's always plenty of sun by the pool, along with shady seating areas. The kitchen has plenty of tools and pots and pans and such for cooking. I had a question for the management prior to my stay, and a got a polite and prompt reply. The house was overall a great place to stay for a family to enjoy the beach. We loved it!

Great stay at the OBX
This was our first time at the OBX and we had a great time. The house had plenty of room for our entire family (5 adults and 4 kids) and was in a great location...1 block from a shopping center with a Food Lion and some restaurants and two blocks from Timbuck II which had some great shops, rest . Everyone enjoyed spending time in the pool.

Perfect getaway.
We had a great time! The house was perfect. The inside of the house was very clean (something I was concerned about with Covid). When we walked in we knew the house had been cleaned properly. My only suggestion regarding this is to make sure the outside gets a once over by the cleaning folks.
The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were super comfy. The location was incredible. The teens really appreciated being able to easily get to places (there may have been repeated walks to get ice cream).
The pool was a lifesaver! It was wonderful to have that available and many hours were spent there.
We had a great vacation! I can’t wait to come back.

Dont expect any volley ball
if you picked this house with the anticipation of great family volleyball games, as we did, dont. With every rain, the court became a mud field that was unplayable. The first night we spent an hour pulling up huge weeds and ckeaning the court up of debri.
On a positive note, horseshoes were fun and housr was great for dogs and large family

Ideal location, excellent rate, overall great place to stay!
We have stayed at several houses in both Corolla and Duck, and I am happy to say this was our best yet.
Price: This house is very reasonably priced compared to others.
Condition: It’s actually nicer than the pictures. The new owners plan to make some improvements, but as it is now, it’s a great place. Well maintained and great supplies including beach and pool gear. The kitchen has both a Keurig and a Coffee Pot.
Location: Incredibly convenient - 2 blocks from the beach, 2 blocks from the grocery store and restaurants. We never had to go far! There is only one refrigerator - so the proximity to the grocery store (without having to get out into traffic) was great.
Issues: Getting help was super easy using the App. We only had minor issues, like the internet being out for the first day which was devastating for the teenagers but no biggie for the rest of us.
For beach setup, we contacted BeachEZ rentals - each day they set up a 10x10 tent, 6 chairs, a “Coolest Cooler” filled with ice (comes with a blender and portable speaker), and corn hole. Best setup ever and a super nice owner.

Perfect place for us.
We've stayed down there several times before within a block or two of this place and it is our favorite location at OBX. The house was perfect. Roomy, clean, and great views from the decks. Pool area was great as well and it was great that we could have our dog there as well. Would love to come back in the future. Great vacation!!!!

Wonderful house! Great location!
This is a lovely, spacious, well-equipped beach home! The pool and hot tub were a great addition, especially with rainy weather that had us coming in from the beach for a few hours each day. Bedrooms were quiet, furniture comfortable and stylish, kitchen well-equipped, and porches (complete with a porch swing) were delightful! Everything was clean and in good working order. It was great to be able to walk to the Food Lion, restaurants, liquor store, shops, movies, and miniature golf in the shopping center just down the street! And having the beach so close was terrific! The beach/pool supplies provided in the storage closet were fabulous--lots of boogie boards, "noodles", pool tubes and toys, and beach chairs. Even a sand bucket and shovel for our granddaughter!
The only downside was not having a fenced yard, which would have been nice for our dog. Also, with all the rain the volleyball court was under water the whole time ("Lake Volleyball" , as we called it) but that was unavoidable I suppose. We highly recommend this house and would love to return (if only someone could solve the Saturday traffic nightmare coming and going--Route 12 is a disaster! AARGH!).

Perfect location, had all the amenities we needed but house a bit dated
We had a great time with a 4-year old and 2-year old. We opted to not take a dog at the last minute and are glad. The living area is on the 3rd level. Taking the dog up and down would have been a pain as we did have a gate up to keep the boys upstairs. Unfortunately, the boys could unlock every door, except those with high up latches. The bed mattresses were old and worn, but we were so exhausted, we slept great but son-in-law had issues.
The decks had lots of chairs but most were broken. We didn't sit on the decks as they also weren't safe for the little ones. The beach was an easy walk, with a nice sidewalk and then a handicapped ramp up to the beach, expect for stairs at the top of the "dune" there is a stairway down. I think all the OBX locations are the same with stairs, but this has a landing and best if you have strollers/wagons. Food Lion was in walking distance and Harris Teater just a short drive. Lots to do within walking distance too, ice cream, bike rentals, butcher, coffee shop, etc.
The other down side was the outdoor charcoal grill. It is usually windy so that grill didn't work for us at all. All the appliances worked great. We had one issue with one DVD player not working. The management company brought us a new one the next day. There were so many extras here: books, board games, TVs, beach toys, pool toys and the hot tub was great.
We don't think we could get a better location. The management company was outstanding. Very responsive and they helped us find what we needed besides the location: two king bedrooms!

Perfect Beach Getaway House
Absolutely perfect location and great area to be in when visiting the Outer Banks. Close to shopping, restaurants, activity parks. Beach is beautiful and you have lifeguards here. We'll definitely be back soon!

Close to the beach. House had plenty of room and nice views from the decks. It was very close to the shopping center ( within walking distance). Family enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
