Home on Smith Mountain Lake with a long list of amenities ... perfect for summer vacation at the lake! Plenty of parking and room enough for a boat trailer!

Bedrooms - a three bedroom house with two masters each with king size bed and each with an adjoining full bathroom. The main level features a third bedroom with a queen bed and again an adjoining private full bathroom. On the lower level there are two private "bungalows" perfect for the young ones. The first has a twin trundle bed and the second has a twin bunk set. Finally there is a brand new queen pull out sofa bed with a surprisingly comfortable memory foam mattress.
Kitchen - Granite counter tops, double oven, microwave, dishwasher. Fully stocked with pots, pans, and all of the dishes and utensils. Keurig coffee maker, coffee grinder, and drip coffee maker.
Dining - The home features a casual table outside of the kitchen that seats five and then the living/dining room area has a 9.5 foot table that seats ten.
Activities - aside from just jumping in the lake of course other forms of entertainment include ping pong, air hockey, and foosball tables! Who knew foosball was so much fun? In addition there are three kayaks available for your use two 12 footers and one at nine feet.
Decks - The home features an upper and lower level deck both of which include partially covered sections perfect for staying comfortable during the peak sun hours. Midway between the home and the dock is another deck space with fantastic views of the lake and the cove. If you want to be outside you will find a place that fits you perfectly.
The Dock - the dock features two sections. On the left a fixed portion that is frequently shaded by the covered lift perfect for reading and drinking it all in. On the right side is a floating dock section with a dock ladder and cleats to secure your boat. Lake depth at the end of each side of the dock was measured in 2017 at over 13 feet (of course this can change daily so remember to be careful). Currently the covered lift is not available for use but the deep water alongside the floating dock will accommodate many sizes and styles of boats. Should the covered lift be a priority for you please contact us and we may be able to accommodate your request.

We had a wonderful time at SML. We stayed here in early September, so the lake was peaceful and quiet. The weather was warm but not hot. We enjoyed boating on the water and swimming at the dock. The house has everything you could need to entertain kids of all ages. Our kids loved the game room and the bunk beds. We made smores in the fire pit and boated out to watch the sunrise one morning on the lake. We made lots of priceless family memories and spent loads of time outside...so it was a very great vacation : )

Our group of three couples try to get away for a long weekend when we can. This is our third time at Happy Wife and its perfect for us! We all have plenty of private space but also enjoy being together in the common areas, especially the upper deck. Personally, i enjoy a competitive game of ping pong with my husband each time. Access to the internet is important and we have not been disappointed. The house has always been clean and is tastefully decorated. Its close to anything we might need and the owners are fantastic to work with. We highly recommend it!

Our stay here was wonderful! We got to enjoy so many aspects of what this home has to offer. Cooler mornings were spent with a cup of coffee up on the covered porch as we enjoyed views of the lake. Though it was cooler, it was sunny enough to spend the daytime out on the water. We made use of the 3 kayaks provided and took our own paddle board out as well. The younger kids fished for hours off the floating dock. By evening we made a fire at the fire pit each day and enjoyed warm drinks and s’mores. And don’t forget the games! Every night we had epic ping pong matches until midnight. Thank you for allowing us to relax and enjoy the lake and your home.

My husband and I, along with my brother and his wife, had a great stay in Moneta. My brother and I were born and raised in Vinton/Roanoke area and it had been over 10 years since we had been home. The weather was fantastic, we got to visit with friends we hadn't seen for years, and visit old familiar restaurants and landmarks that meant a lot to us. When not visiting we got in some fishing from the dock. A great time was had by all! Thanks for sharing your home!

Everything was awesome! Location was great! We loved being in the no wake cove, swimming off the dock was a huge hit and super easy to tie up our rented boat. House was perfect for our group, it was nice that everyone had their own space and bathroom. It also had everything we needed to have lunches/dinners at the house. Would 11/10 recommend and would love to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! We have been coming to SML for years. Now with small kids, this house had plenty of games and toys to keep them occupied as well! The house was plenty big to accommodate our 2 families. The cove was wonderful, very quiet. The house was well kept (with comfortable beds!)! We truly enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing time. Would go back!

Upon arrival , we were greeted by a herd of deer who didn't seem to care that we were there. Entering the property, we immediately felt comfortable and at home away from home. Our family of four are 50++ and upon settling in and bedroom selection we began to explore this beautiful home. Just... wow!! The views were spectacular. The home is fully equipped with everything you could need. We loved that all main level bedrooms and baths were separated so the early risers didn't disturb the later sleepers. The beds were all comfortable with quality linens and bathrooms were clean/well stocked. The lower level would be a child's paradise, no detail was overlooked ~ from the adorable trundle/bunks to the games/videos/game room. What fun! Wildlife was abundant (deer, squirrels, groundhog, birds, etc) and we enjoyed observing from both the main living area & back decks. There are so many spaces to enjoy the outdoors in this home. The boat house & dock/pier were so enjoyable... kayaks/water skis/swimming/floats. We rented a pontoon for the week from Bridgewater Marina to further enjoy the "lake life" Our week had perfectly beautiful weather & we were even graced with a cold front moving through 2 days before we left. We picked up all the branches & were finally able to enjoy the fire pit on our last night. Highly recommend this property & the owner was responsive to all our inquiries. Really enjoyed staying at “Happy Wife.” It turned out to be a rainy weekend but the home had plenty of entertainment for the kids what with the game room and lots of toys. The kitchen also had everything we needed. Comfy beds too! We would definitely stay again.

This is our second time staying at this property and it continues to meet our vacation needs and then some. The house has all the amenities and space we are looking for. You feel right at home instantly. The dock is great for swimming and is in a no wake zone with very limited boat traffic. It was nice having a set of water skis available too to rekindle the fond memories using them as kids.

Great Place For Fun and Relaxing
This home was the best place for family fun and relaxing! We fully enjoyed the game room. It has something for everyone of all ages. The location on the lake is great for kayaking. And I imagine swimming when the weather is warmer. Our girls took the kayaks out and they met some friendly sailors and fishermen.
They have a haven for the younger children! Games of all types; 2 bungalows for the children to sleep in and pretend they are anywhere in the world and or out of space.
There are so many areas inside and out for you to just pull up and sit and enjoy one of the many TVs and or the spectacular views of the lake. The boat house is equipped with life vests-sizes A-Z. There are water toys and flotation devices galore.
Anyone who stays there will want for nothing. Everything you need is right there-stocked kitchen and bathrooms; comfortable beds-EVERYTHING.
Keith was so kind and gracious. We hope to visit there again❣️❣️❣️
