The location was perfect for our hiking and site seeing trip. Owners were wonderful

Location was great. Very clean.

Older home but VERY clean. Was well stocked with everything we needed. The porch was especially nice! Enjoyed walking down to the water and watching the chipmunks in the yard. Would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere quiet to unwind and recharge.

Our family had a great long weekend in Travelers Rest and enjoyed our stay. The cabin’s kitchen was fully stocked and the entire home was very clean.
We loved exploring Travelers Rest and ate at several great restaurants. The host recommended Chicora Alley and it was our favorite!

This house was excellent. Very clean, quaint and perfect for our weekend getaway to visit Caesars Head and some creek hiking and waterfalls. Hosts were great and provided us with a Park Entry and Pass and Trail Maps. Will definitely rebook again in the future!

Had a great time with my Fiance and Parents. Was an older cabin was on a very quiet peaceful road. Enjoyed a walk with our dog down the quiet road beside the river. The patio on the front of the cabin did have a lot of tall weeds but nothing that cant be trimmed. It is a very steep driveway and some of the concrete steps are separating so you definitely have to watch where your walking. But over all was a great short getaway.

Location was ideal for hiking Table Rock. The host kindly loaned us a state park pass for our hike. The home was very clean and furnished well with plenty of towels, washcloths, bedding, and all kitchen needs. Each room was furnished well. There were lots of games and movies to choose from. A downside was the flooring of the cabin. There were multiple places the floor was not level and felt like the home was about to cave in. Also if you’re looking for a private place to stay, this may not be for you. The neighbors porch is very close and ends up being the side yard. (Thankfully, the neighbors are very friendly.)

We absolutely enjoyed our stay, Ginger was super friendly and eager to help in any way that she could. We enjoyed fishing the river, cooking in the kitchen, playing the board games that were readily available.

This cabin reminds me of the Ole fishing camps. We enjoyed the cabin being in a quiet area with a small river across the lane and yet it was close to lots of great adventures.... tubing, hikes, sliding rock, and state parks. It was restful and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. As mentioned in many other reviews it was steep and lots of stairs. However we choose to incorporate that as part of the adventure.

This cabin is a bit off the beaten trail but close to SO MUCH. The cabin itself is older yet full if character. Reminded us of the ole fish camp houses. The 3 bedrooms was perfect layout for our group of 4. Our favorite was the NEST, the porch couch. The kitchen though small was perfect and we cooked and even made macaroons. Lots of stairs as many have mentioned yet we felt it added to the adventure. Go enjoy the area!

3 generations spent the weekend together just to spend time together. Enjoyed local restaurants & a bit of shopping.

It is a quite and has beautiful scenery. The cabin is older but very nice. We had a really great time. I would not recommend this property for anyone with a walking disability or in a wheelchair. Besides that it was great!

This is a perfect cabin for those that want to get away. It is quiet and beautiful. We loved it!

We came to the Cleveland Home hoping to relax and get a break from the hectic schedule we keep. We brought three teenagers and a large dog. The setting of this house is ideal if you enjoy country walks. You feel very remote, but restaurants and grocery stores are just a short drive. The road to the house is paved and easy to drive for any car.
The hosts have really thought of everything you might need. The house is so well stocked. They met us on our drive in, as they stay right next door. They were friendly and available, but otherwise you’d hardly know they were there.
I highly recommend staying here!

Great get away, Quirky Cabin on a beautiful small clear river. Had everything we needed! With that said, steep drive and stairs from lower parking be prepared to get some steps in! Probably not best for someone with assisted walking disorders. sleeping quarters up stairs, clean and comfortable, would come back and recommend to friends. Host very nice and helpful, wonderful people.
Thank you for our stay!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! First I have to say the homeowners/hosts were wonderful and always available. We got in really late the first night we were there but the next morning the homeowner met us in driveway while we were taking dogs out and handed us a book of waterfall hikes along with state park pass which was super helpful and very appreciated. The hosts along with another neighbor we met were super friendly and it was nice hearing about the history of the area/home.
Second, THIS HOME IS FULLY STOCKED!!! The kitchen has everything you need plus some. There are plenty of board games, although we did not utilize the games as we spent most of our time hiking and exploring waterfalls around the area with my grand daughter. There is a TV with DVD player and plenty of movies and a lot of books to cuddle up on the big chair outside on screen porch.
I was also impressed by the child gate at top of stairs and it really came in handy having a 23 month old. The house really had everything you would need.
I would definitely stay here again and would just like to say thank you to the owners for making it such a comfortable stay!

Our family booked this cabin so we’d be close to DuPont State Recreational Forest for the weekend.
It was better than expected!
The location was perfect. We were near DuPont, but also not far from Travelers Rest which offered restaurants, etc.
Since this property is on a Dead End Road, it was quiet. The beds were comfortable and we rested well.
We hope to visit again so we can enjoy the river across the street and nearby hikes and waterfalls.

The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfy. Driveway is very steep. Lots of stairs in and around the property. Low ceilings, so not good for tall people. If it rains you can’t enjoy the creek or the patio which is a big part of staying there. It worked out great for me and my parents and it is very close to my brothers property, so we will more than likely be back.

Great getaway
House was very clean. Kids (Teens) 12-17 had a fantastic time rafting down the river took a 4 hour ride. Great outdoor space for teens to hangout around a bonfire and loved the upstairs porch!!!

House was clean but saw live roaches in kitchen & bathroom, very disappointed.
The house does have a strange layout with kitchen, dining room and full bath on 1st floor. To access the living room, bedrooms & 1/2 bath on 2nd floor you have to pass through the 3 season porch on the 2nd floor and go through a door into the living room. I emailed the host of the property regarding live roach issue in the kitchen & bathroom with no response.

Great cabin in the woods
From the minute we walked into this property we knew it was perfect for our group. The bedrooms are all situated upstairs after you pass through the coziest screened in porch and living area. The view of the river is just perfect! We fished, floated down the river and enjoyed the convenience of having the water right there. We look forward to booking another trip back to this cozy cabin!

A Nice Stay Away From Everything
Overall everything was great. House was clean, comfortable, check in and reservation were smooth. If you want to really get away, this is the place. My only two minor comments would be I didnt see anything alive in the river across from the house (no fish, turtles, etc) , and the photos make the house look more updated than it actually is. But it was still great and we loved the stay.

Wonderful location for hiking, tubing, and fishing!
The house is a bit quirky, but the owners made sure that they stocked it with everything you could possibly need! We cooked and grilled during our stay and although we brought everything, the kitchen had me covered if I forgot something! The location is perfect, right on the South Saluda river. My kids were able to walk up the street or river and tube back down. We fished from the deck and the kids walked through the river to catch blue gill, red eyed bass, red breast, and a small trout. Not enough to eat, but enough to have fun with! It is located very close to Jones Gap, Table Rock, Dupont Forest, Caesar's Head and a bunch of heritage preserves. We hiked in the morning and then came back to tube, fish, and relax on the deck.

Perfect Family Trip
My kids and I loved our stay here! My kids loved fishing off the deck and watching movies. I loved the whicker sofa on the screened porch for my morning coffee and reading time. The only things missing are a pizza cutter and a plunger. Otherwise everything we needed was there.

Relaxing
The house was so relaxing and had everything you need for a getaway. It is right up the road from table rock. Sooo much fun!!

Great quiet getaway!
Although the house has a quirky layout we really enjoyed the quiet location, the deck by the river and the fire pit on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Loved the many trails and waterfalls nearby!

family getaway
The kids loved the cabin. It rained the entire time, so the boys were disappointed they weren't able to fish, but overall we had a nice stay.

Great place
The home was just as listed and we enjoyed staying there. The river was really fun and our son enjoyed playing in it. We saw small fish but didn’t catch any. The house has plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a group (we had 4 adults and 1 child). Beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, neighbors were very nice and friendly. Went on walks at night and could see so many stars. Great location if you are visiting Caesars Head area. Wildcat falls was about 3 mins away. We will return.

Perfect little place in paradise
Had a wonderful stay with our family of 5 and Dog. The house was the perfect size for all of us and had everything we needed and more!! The fishing dock made my husband and oldest son happy, and the river (about knee to waist deep depending on area) made my youngest two happy. Location was off the beaten path enough we weren't in the middle of the city but close enough to so many things that we could still explore. Wildcat waterfall and table rock park were just minutes away. Description describes everything very nicely and accurately. Homeowners were great, and very little traffic on the road. Can't wait to come back again!!

Never stayed here
The rental agency said they needed more information from me in order to confirm my reservation. I tried calling the number they sent me and was never able to speak with anyone. They charged my credit card for the stay, but I never received a confirmation or any check in information. Poor business practice.

Lovely and quiet
We had a great stay in this quirky little cabin. The kids loved being so close to nature. They found a box turtle, snails and toads in the yard. We enjoyed talking by the fire pit and snuggling on the couch for a movie. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for our stay - we were delighted to find some coffee in the fridge after we realized that we forgot to bring our own. The best part was how close we were to excellent hiking spots and beautiful waterfalls!

A great weekend with my daughter!
A quiet peaceful weekend with my adult daughter. Best price to fit our plus the pups needs. My dogs love water and the river across the street was perfect, shallow and clear. This is a dead end road with not a lot of traffic. The house is kind of like a raised ranch. The kitchen, dining area and full bathroom are on the first floor. Nice, but not nearly as cozy as the upstairs. This was the true living area. It has 3 bedrooms, half bath and cozy living room with fireplace. This was perfect for our evening needs. We spent all of our time upstairs, only grabbing snacks and drinks from below during commercial breaks. This house was built back in the 40's. Take it for what it is and enjoy. It is immaculately clean and the upstairs is awesome, but it's old and in the woods. There may be a cute mouse or too running around. I live on 4 acres in the woods also, so no big deal. This home is great for down to earth people but not someone looking for a 5 star hotel that doesn't know about truly living in the woods. We drove to Greenville everyday for some shopping, a visit to the zoo and local breweries. It's about a 30 minute commute but the price of the house made the drive worth it to me. Our nights were spent in a serene area where we and our pups felt safe walking around off leash. Our days were filled with traffic and the hustle and bustle of Greenville. I will definitely be back. The owners live next door and are as sweet as can be. We will definitely go back!

So relaxing
We are in transition moving from NH to SC. While we are waiting for the closing on our new home, we have stayed at various places to include hotels, beach cottage and a Airbnb. This place by far was the most relaxing, serine stay we've had so far. The cabin has a funky but cool layout that really works well. We had a little snafu when making the reservation a call to the property manager quickly resolved it. Overall? It couldn't have been better. We'll be back again.

Quirky house on the river
We enjoyed our stay in Cleveland. The layout of the house is quirky but it was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing in the river and we enjoyed hanging out of the front patio. The driveway is steep but you can park on the road. They provide all the basics which is always nice.

Honest Review
The ceiling height downstairs is short along with doors, light, and porch fan. At 6’2, 2 guests hit head a few times. The house sits on a steep hillside with a very steep driveway that was difficult to use with only 1 car. There are steep rock steps with no gates. If you desire very isolated rental close to lakes and waterfalls it’s great! Also, close to Travelers Rest and Greenville which is nice. The beds were very comfortable and the living room nice. The kitchen is well stocked!

Nice bedrooms and living room, strange set up
The upstairs area of the house was comfortable and well laid out. Unfortunately, we planned on cooking and playing games together, and so we spent most of our time on the bottom floor (a tighter, cramped space where the kitchen is located.)
Pros: comfortable bedrooms and screened in porch. 15 minutes from Table Rock. Good assortment of board games.
Cons: deck over river was unstable/falling into the river, neighboring houses very close by, inconvenient floor plan.

Enjoyed our stay in this comfortable 3 bedroom house. sorry we didn't have time to enjoy the big flat screen or the fireplace. Our time was spent around the kitchen table !!!!!!
