We had two families with young kids enjoy this property in August 2023. The pool was a big reason why we booked the property and it did not disappoint. The game room and theater room also got a lot of use. We did have to buy our own ROKU player to get the theater room to work properly , so be aware of that. We also cooked most of our meals at the house and there is not much cookware. Bring foil pans and other kitchen accessories if you plan to cook on-site. The house is spacious and has plenty of towels and laundry onsite. The WIFi was very handy and the scenery is incredible. Our families enjoyed fishing and creek stomping in the small waterway at the front of the property. Bring your own firewood if you plan to use the fire pit as it is hard to find anything around the woodsy areas. We roasted s’mores one night and did tie dye on the gravel patio. Our youNg boys loved catching lizards and loved seeing other creatures like butterflies, moths, frogs and more. The house does have a bit of a bug problem, but it is totally manageable and you expect it when you are staying in remote areas. We never did see bears, so that was slightly disappointing hearing how prevalent they are in the area. We went into Pigeon Forge one day and it was about a 35 min ride via interstates and about 40-45 min home on back mountain roads.

Great for families. We went for my 60th birthday and I couldn't have asked for more. My grandchildren loved the indoor pool especially. Driveway was a little hard to manage since we had four cars but we made it work. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a crowd.

Absolutely beautiful cabin, just very disappointed with all the bugs we had to clean up. The one back bedroom needs some attention no one could stay in it because of all the bugs coming in thur the windows. No Screens on any of the windows so bugs where coming thur the cracks! Pool sticks need new tips, and air hockey don’t work…James the maintenance guy was phenomenal.

Hot tub didn't work. Pool had lining drooping down and was not clean. TV in my room didn't work. House is beautiful, but needs alot of work and could use a good cleaning. Roof leaked in 2 spots. They did refund us 1 night, as compensation.

Lots of space
Private, quiet and large home. All 5 bedrooms each had a private bathroom!! Pool, game and theater room were great for the kids. Had an issue with the projector when we got there but support answered us right away. Would visit again.

Mountain views, private location, good for groups
About 30 minutes from Gatlinburg, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Check in process was easy. Home had a lot of amenities provided that you usually run out of, but there were plenty for us for whole week. Nice fire pit and grill area we used every night. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes but cookware was slightly lacking. Everything was clean, but there were a ton of dead bugs everywhere, thankfully there was a vacuum provided. Pool seemed updated, but seemed to need more chemicals and no maintenance was done on the pool while we were there. (I am use to scheduled maintenance from previous stays elsewhere) Hot tub worked well and kept heat but also needed chemicals and fresh water. Theater room didnt work and when we called they said there was a chip that needed to be replaced but it takes 6 weeks to get. Overall we had a great trip. We loved the location and size.

Amazing!
Great place for a getaway! We loved the location it was far enough from Gatlinburg to enjoy scenery but close enough to drive into Gatlinburg and enjoy the day out there. Beautiful cabin very spacious and accommodating. Had everything we needed to enjoy a snowed in weekend. Love the lil river that flows through makes front porch sitting so peaceful! Definitely would recommend staying here!

Just OK
The location and views from this cabin are amazing. But it’s all downhill from there. The pool heating elements were not working, and after a call in which we were promised they would be replaced so we could use the pool, it was never done. The hot tub malfunctioned and had to be reset by maintenance. The cabin was very unclean. We had to vacuum, mop and sweep just to make it presentable. One set of sheets had dried snot on them when the covers were rolled back. Dead bugs everywhere. The roof leaked both days that it rained. Gated entrance was nice, but there was construction going on on another part of the property and the construction crew left the gate open and allows our dogs to escape. Lots of small things wrong but could be corrected. Would consider staying again, but only if everything is working.

What you see is sadly NOT what you get
We booked this property for a Christmas getaway with family and friends back in May. Prior to us going I noticed a couple reviews that were concerning and reached out to the property manager. My concerns were addressed and I was assured everything would be taken care of prior to our arrival. Well, it wasn’t. We really wanted to absolutely love this place. It has a ton of potential and for what we paid for our 1 week nearly everything could have been made perfect. So the list of issues: The pool is listed as heated. Heated to us and to normal people means 80 at least. I checked the temp multiple times and it barely was 71. Incidentally this was another persons complaint that I asked about and was told a new heater was installed. Lie. The hot tub was way out dated and cold and dirty when we arrived. I did crank the heat up and it was usable the next day but still dirty. I would have cleaned had I had a vacuum. The cover is tattered and tub just looks very dated. Pool table was disappointing. Not level, felt shot, bumpers completely shot in one end, balls fell thru pockets constantly, cues terrible, no chalk, (I bought some at Walmart and left it behind). Listen I’m not a great pool player and neither are the teens and adults that came with us but it almost wasn’t even worth playing. That’s how bad it is. Air hockey was functional but just needed new pucks easy fix but Walmart did not have those so we just didn’t play. Cleanliness. The bathrooms and kitchen had obviously been cleaned and were pretty good. However, nearly every other horizontal surface had enough dust to write you name in it. Window sills were covered with dead bugs and dust. Lady Bugs were everywhere. Doesn’t bother me but my daughters freaked out every morning when they were in their bedroom all over the place. Also, sounds silly, but lightbulbs didn’t match in ceiling fixtures and in lights that you use a lot. Just gives the impression they don’t care about us or the property. Most of this stuff could easily be repaired or corrected and then this place would be fantastic. The area is nice and from the outside it looks great. Just really fell short on the amenities that were advertised and what we feel we paid for but didn’t get. I can’t recommend this property unless the above items were addressed and if you are renting soon I would want proof these items were addressed prior to booking.

Pricey, Outdated, Not well-maintained or Clean, Not Impressed
It was ok but not close to as expected or described for the cost paid. It is far outside from any activity and winding roads to get anywhere. The day we arrived and closed the door the keyless entry cover fell off, batteries appeared corroded. The alarm system was not well explained and the so-called cleaning people were still there when we arrived with a dog in the house. The shelves in the fridge were missing or support broken/taped.
There was little privacy, all during the stay there was construction crews in and on the property, there was a small shack that always had a vehicle there, and a guy wandering around at various times throughout the day and week cutting various trees, he too has a black dog on the property. The limbs cut all along the driveway were not swept up or out of the way and quite frankly creeped my children out.
The cleanliness overall was poor, especially for the money they charge. I’m certain it was cleaner when we left, I cleaned anything we intended to use before using it. Dust all over furniture, floors and rugs dirty, dead bugs in master bedroom ceiling fan light fixture, theater room had trash under seats and a funky smell, tubs not cleaned well, several dirty dishes, latches on windows and doors not secure and hose through the pool window, very unsecured and unsettling every night, someone could easily break in. Dingy feel and look, not well lit in some rooms. The cookware was not matched with lids, all random and not full functional for a place to feed 24 people.
With the open foyer and game room all noises echoed and with pool on main floor too you could hear it all. No quite unless you were well outside or sleeping. Pool area wasn’t well maintained and hot tub is outdated, mold, nothing worked for lights or jets and always ran, cover was old.
Furniture was very worn, holes in seats didn’t look like the couch had ever been cleaned, could see where others had large dogs, scratches all over doors , furniture and chewed up furniture corners. I placed my own blankets on the furniture to sit.
The driveway was very steep and the concrete at the bottom is like a ramp, no gradual slope. Parking is poor and steep as well with virtually no room to turn around.

Best cabin ever
Didn’t have to risk getting Covid by being in public in this fantastic cabin and we needed a vacation great cabin plenty of room for all of us to be together or have private time enjoyed pool game room and fire pit and we will be back highly recommend couldn’t ask for better people to rent from

Quick response
When we sent a concern by email to Aunt Bugs, James was quick to fix all. I also called James directly and he made immediate arrangements to fix the equipment in the theater room. House was wonderful. We had a great time. Would recommend this to friends and family.

Needs a new management company to treat guests
We booked this property way in advanced and before we arrived, the property manager was very cordial and responsive. That was the end of it.
We drove almost 10 hours and arrived in the area a littler bit early. We could not get in because it was before our check in time which was okay so we ended up grocery shopping for food. The first problem was the check in process, we did not get in the property until an hour after our scheduled time. They had scheduled a photography session which ran past our check in time and every time we called to get access to the property after the photographer left, they would always say that we emailed you the gate code. We waited and waited and waited some more and no email came. We had to argue over the phone and they kept lying that it was already emailed. Finally after almost an hour of back an forth, they finally gave us the code to get in. To this day, that email they promised was sent, never arrived in our inbox, spam, junk mail, etc. Afterwards:
1. Bathtub upstairs was clogged.
2. Sink upstairs was clogged.
3. Had to rewash the dishes, utensils, glasses since it looks like it was never washed.
4. Charcoal grill was not cleaned, we cleaned it with what was provided, old, useless brushes. Charcoal bin disposal was filled with ash and a ton of empty cigarette boxes.
5. Finally, the heated pool is not heated. It's ice cold. Then we were finally informed that the pool gas heater was broken and due to Covid, they could not get parts so they switched to an electric heater. The electric heater was not big enough to heat up the entire pool. The pool was a major decision point for us and we did not even get to use it. We tried sucking it up but it was really really really cold.
Overall, the Cabin is showing its age and needs some maintenance. We really did not appreciate how the management company kept telling us that you're good to go, we emailed you the code over and over and over again and nothing was happening. We arrived early and if don;t have access we were fine, but as soon as our check-in time is up, it is reasonable to have access and not be told "Well. check in is 4pm or after" so you had the nerve to tell me that we already waited for your photographer to leave past 4 and then also tell me that you don't get to have access since you can give us access anytime you want to? Very rude and unprofessional.

Wonderful view
This really was an excellent spot for 5 families to get away. It had everything the children wanted and everything the adults wanted. The beds were a bit hard for my liking but other than that no complaints. Wonderful views and very friendly locals.

I would stay there again. I only had one thing wrong not enough towels for 22 people for pool and too take bath. But I would send my friends to stay with Aunt Bugs anytime.

Somerville Christmas Vacation
The house was amazing! It was big enough that we had plenty of room. The game room was used on a daily basis. The pool was amazing and used every day as well. The hot tub was an item that was used frequently by the adults. We enjoyed it but the jets were not very strong. The theater was nice but not used as much, what would have made it better is to have the TV channels available in there as well, freeing up the living room to sit and talk. The kitchen was well equipped. The only problem was there was no casserole dishes. I left 2 small ones as a gift. The kitchen sink faucet was hard to shut off. It drips or runs most of the time. All in all, the house was absolutely wonderful!

Dirty and poorly maintained not worth the price
The cabin and location were great, but there was a lack of cleanliness and maintenance. The inside of the kitchen cabinets were filthy making hard to store food. There is a ant problem in the kitchen, always found them on the counter tops and inside the cabinets. The inside of the refrigerator was filthy and smelled. The master bedroom bathroom floor was dirty when we arrived. The overall feel of the cabin had not had a good cleaning in a while. Trash all around the grounds of the cabin. There were multiple lights burnt out throughout the cabin. One of the doors for the pool had a broken lock and a had another lock rigged up the make it work. The back door to cabin would not stay closed unless you used the deadbolt all the time. The living room tv didn’t work. The pool table cues were completely worn out. The air hockey table didn’t work correctly, the puck was stuck in one the puck returns making it useless to play. Our family rented the cabin for a long weekend and it was disappointing. Our time was limited on our trip and we expect things to be in order. It is not cheap to rent the place , you expect better when you rent something like that.

Pros and Cons
We liked the spaciousness of bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool, the theater room and the game room but were disappointed with the fact that ice hockey machine was not working. We were not pleased with the lack of cleanliness. There were dirty sheets on pullouts and a shower that had to be cleaned before anyone could use it. Also all vents were filthy. Enjoyed the eating area where we could all meet as a family. We communicated our concerns but nothing was done about it.

Perfect location but the property is in not well maintained
The rental property had many issues and we had a tough time staying in the place.
Multiple bathrooms (tubs, toilet bowls, wash basin sink) were not clean. Water clogged slippery tubs were so dirty and had very foul smell. There is so much filth in all bath tubs and wash basin sinks. The whole property had dirt everywhere. We spent 3-4 hrs to clean the entire property before moving in. One of the kids fell in th bath tub and got injured.
We are very suspicious that there are bed bugs in property. Atleast, 3-5 people (2 kids) got bug bite and it looks like bed bug bites.
Dishwasher is useless. It didn't work and we had to manually wash the dishes. Overall property had pungent smell everywhere and it is not worth the money we spent.
The check-in process is not smooth. It could have been made easy and not make us go another 50 miles just to prove my identity.
On top of all this, I see additional charges on my card. We are not at all happy with the stay and I don't authorize any additional charges on my credit card and this should be cancelled.
The money you charged for the property doesn't have any value based on the current condition of the property and how bad it is maintained.

Beautiful home But
The home is breathtaking, but once we got settled in and went food shopping and started cooking meals the kitchen was very dirty. So much old food stuck in between the oven and inside it. Looked like no one has ever cleaned it just wiped it off. All pots, pans were old and very stained. I was scared to use anything. Bowls were all chipped and utensils were missing. Toaster was broken as well and no blender. I spent quite a bit of money to stay here and was very disappointed that I was unable to cook due to the cookware and cleanliness of kitchen. Also there is a wasp nest in the house and one of my boys are allergic so we had to be careful all the time.

Absolutely stunning!
It was absolutely beautiful and amazing! We got there Saturday night but we had to leave on Monday due to an absolutely tragic nightmare. Our Son tragically passed away. When and if we will be able in the future. We will definitely be back. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Our stay was during the Pandemic, there were several things that cleaning performed badly, heres a list: window sills and shades filthy with bugs and dust, filthy drawer insert holding silverware, only two full rolls of toilet paper, floors upswept, sheets missing from bed, toilet with urine on it,2 dirty coffee pots both with coffee grounds still in them, I emptied them one was moldy, (my daughter travels with a single Keurig coffee maker so I used hers), curtains not hung well, fell and hurt my 6 yr.old granddaughter, put a cut on the side of her face, one bed was wet from a spill or otherwise I'm unsure,closet door broken and left leaning against the wall, (child hazard), the king bed room lost power second night in, which left us without direct tv the rest of the week and left me in the dark except for the lights in the bath room and one bed side lamp, I believe it was a thrown breaker, we didn't call because I was traveling with two immune comprised children! Other than severe cleaning issues, we loved the Cabin, loved its isolated locale, loved the furnishings, and its iminities, it was perfect just what I expected. I am well traveled and prepared, I travel with extra blankets,Clorox wipes,lysol, 12 pack of toilet paper, tide pods, dishwashing tablets, emergency kit, and a 38 which I keep in my car, I'm fifty eight a grandmother, have ran cleaning crews for Ramada Inn Alton, years ago, and am a Machinist, I'm not a whiner or one who knit picks and complains, however your cleaning crew is ripping you off and you need to be aware of it, my vacation was far from ruined, nothing I couldnt fix or handle, however with some folks you may not fare as well!! I plan on returning to the smoky mountains when I do I'll rent this Cabin Mistic pool Lodge 600 again because I loved the property, I live in the country, and want nothing less than peace and quiet when I vacation and that's what this Cabin provides Thank you to Steven from Aunt bugs he didnt let me down!

It was not cleaned good at all. Pool wasnt ready they put water in it and cleaned it after we got there so it never warmed up for mu kids to swim which was the only reason we came. The game room air hock table was broke dodnt have a air motor on it. Hott water upstairs didnt work so could take a bath in the tub. And the movie theater sound system was broke when called maintaince on it he said he would have it fixed in few days we would already be gone. When I emailed 3 different ppl on this telling them I wasnt gripping or asking for any discount just wanted them to know that way it will be better for the next customer spending all this money they wouldnt even respond back at all terrible service paid 1500 for two nights and drove hours to get there and was very disappointing dont waste ur money

The cabin was just what I expected. This cabin was the second one I stayed in on vacation to Tennessee. All of my guest fell in love with it as well. There was just one problem with the jacuzzi. The water wouldn’t warm up.

Great house to keep all the kids and adults entertained. Loved the fact that every bedroom had it's own private bathroom! When we did leave the house, the kids were ready to get back to the house to swim in the indoor pool or play in the game room!

Everything you could ever ask for!
The cabin was so wonderful and had everything we could ever need or ask for. The pool, games, and theatre room kept the kids busy and entertained the entire stay! It is on at least 5 acres so the kids were able to run and explore as much as they wanted with put parents having to worry about busy traffic or strangers. When we did venture out, the kids were eager to get back to the cabin. We will definitely be staying again.

To start off with the good things the workers and the officer very nice the maintenance man that helps with the house is also very nice and the movie room is a very very nice feature the views are very nice the house is big in spacious it'll hold plenty of people The negatives would be the hot tub didn't get over 90 degrees no matter what we did the buttons didn't work to heat it up so that was a little Annoying we were not able to use the hot tubs in the house because the hot water didn't last and with a ton of people in the house anytime somebody would wash their hands use the bathroom do the dishes the water would go right to ice cold which was frustrating the internet didn't work 90% of the time we were there even when the satellite internet technician came and fix the internet it really still didn't work which was frustrating so do not plan to have internet especially if the weather is bad or you need a lot of data because it's internet via satellite so it's not going to work very well the house is kind of outdated like some of the door knobs fell off when we first got there. The air hockey table didn't really work the entire time we were there. The TV in the upstairs King room is awkwardly placed so you cannot watch TV from in bed because the bed post blocked the entire 22 inch TV. The people at the office gave us instructions to go to the rental and it took us an hour and a half when we used our GPS it took us 40 minutes so that was a little frustrating to be told that GPS will not take you right to the house when in fact it does and it's twice as fast You do have to bring your own DVDs for the movie room but there is a Dollar General 2 minutes from the house that has a red box which is very convenient

This was our 10th trip with 10 to 16 guys. We had an amazing time. This more than me our needs and the pictures inside don't do it justice. Pros: Amazing house, Lots of beds, Great Pool, Pool Table, Video Games, Great set up, Fire pit, Theater room was amazing. Cons: Not a single sharp knife in the house, absolutely no extras (had to buy toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, dish soap and dish washer bombs), Yard while amazing is at an at least 30 degree slope so absolutely unusable for anything, pool table bumper broken, $500 cash deposit on check in

Driveway was very steep and because there was no flat area to park by the cabin we had to walk up the driveway. This was very difficult. Bushes along drive and steps leading down needed trimming. The description of the cabin said it was 20 minutes to Gatlinburg. It was much longer. The cabin was very dark and some lights/fans were not working. The air hockey game did not work and the in pool floodlights were not working. The pool really needed a handrail for safe entry. Wifi didn't work. Overall the cabin was very nice and well furnished and decorated. We felt very safe there. We would not stay in this cabin again only due to the steep drive and long drive to Gatlinburg. We would definitely use Aunt Bugs rental again in securing another cabin on our next visit that fits our needs better.
