My husband, two pups and I really enjoyed the peace and comfort of the VT Haus in Andover. We loved the beautiful garden and settled in quickly to this well stocked and appointed home. While we were there, we had a great time exploring the nearby towns of Chester, Ludlow, Manchester and Grafton. It’s a quick jump to a number of beautiful trails and parks. And the people in the community are so friendly and neighborly. We both work full time remote and had no trouble at all doing so with the strong Wi-Fi. Thanks to Mike for being such a communicative and thoughtful host during our stay!

We stayed at the home for a week and it was wonderful. The owners made sure that everything was there for us to use--and I mean everything. They thought of the smallest things that made our stay so easy. They kept us informed about an internet outage and when the repair man was coming for a problem. I can't say enough about the care they put into this home and its renters. Thank you , Mike

Fantastic stay in Vermont
Fantastic stay in Vermont
We stayed for a wonderful month during May while spring was arriving in Vermont. The backyard is excellent, and we spent a ton of time hanging out there listening to birds and enjoying all the trees and flowers. Our dog loved watching all the chipmunks running around, and we enjoyed walking up the road with him alongside the creek for short morning/evening trots. We ended up setting up a little extra fence for him near the driveway so he wouldn't go near the road because the cars can move a little fast on the road out front. There are a variety of hiking trails and kayaking nearby -- several options within a 20-30 minute drive. We particularly loved going to Lowell Lake State Park and recommend it highly! Most of the towns nearby are pretty quiet and rural, so it's a good stay for people who are looking to disconnect and do outdoor activities. The house itself is very well equipped with everything you need to have a super comfortable stay. There are tons of towels, extra blankets to be cozy, a super well-stocked kitchen, lots of beds and pillows, cleaning supplies, plenty of wood for the firepit/fireplace, etc. You really don't have to think about anything once you arrive -- Mike has already figured it out and made it easy for you! The furniture is all comfortable, and we loved the big dining table, outdoor adirondack chairs, and especially the game room. It's awesome to have a little space separate from the main house to hang out -- with darts, bumper pool, its own fireplace and plenty of room to stretch out. Loved that bonus room! The host, Mike, is super friendly and engaged -- ready to provide advice and help out with any issues that come up. He was extremely fast to provide support and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful Vermont vacation
Wonderful Vermont vacation
We stayed at the Vermont Haus from 8/1-9/17. It was a wonderful respite for us. The house is beautiful when you pull in the driveway and makes you feel good right away. The owner was there when we arrived and graciously helped with our luggage , which was a big help for us. Anything you needed was in the house if you forgot something you will probably find it there. The inside of the house is loaded with charm. From the rustic living room right up the stairs to the bedrooms. There is room for several people to stay there. Outside on the back patio is a brand new grill and furniture right in front of a beautiful garden. The grounds were filled with gardens. Way out back was a large a large firepit with chairs for everyone. One of the nicest parts of staying there was the availability of the owner to us. He was always just a text away. He always got right back to us. If he couldn't explain the problem via text he would call me. He was so patient with us old folks and helped us through the few problems we had. If you're looking for a quiet getaway the Vermont Haus is for you. There are many things in the area to explore and good food to be found in nearby towns. If you're in Chester check out Mcloughmans Scottish pub. All in all this was a wonderful vacation experience for us and we highly recommend it. If possible we would like to come back again someday.

This is a gorgeous house in a beautiful location a short drive away from everything we wanted to do and see in Vermont. Everything in the house works perfectly (including blazing fast Internet) and is as described. The woods around the house were perfect for short walks with the dogs. Mike was great to deal with, and we look forward to going back!
