We had a lovely stay in Sayulita. Steep hill, but location was great, close to everything by golf cart but also quiet in the evenings. Pools were nice and the breeze on our upper level condo was wonderful. Efren the property manager was great, met us to check-in, coordinated a cart rental, checked back several times to see if we needed anything and recommend beaches and restaurants.

Our family has been to Sayulita over 15 times in the past years...and this place was one of the top 2 places we have stayed! Efren the property manager took care of us very quickly and efficiently whenever we need something. We look forward to staying there again in the future! The views were amazing and the property was marvelous!

The team was very eager to help and answer any questions we had about our stay in Sayulita. Would stay again

Place was comfortable but could use some upgrading. Views where great but Location would be difficult for someone who can’t walk hills. Apartment itself was difficult to access with heavy luggage and required lots of stairs to get to it. The safe box did not work so didn’t feel comfortable utilizing housekeeping. One of the showers had a huge wall that one had to step over to get in so it was inconvenient if you are short or have an injury. The washer did not work so this was a huge inconvenience when we had a load of wet clothes in there soaked with water. Pool was small but cute but water was too cold to use.

The place was great and Mary was very responsive and easy to work with. Thanks to other reviews we were prepared for the stairs but had we not read other reviews prior they would have been a huge shock! My only real complaint was that the heater was out in the small private pool.
Very comfortable bed and bedding.!

The place is as described in the listing with the exception that the small heated pool was not clean and the heat did not work when we were there. This was disappointing for us because it was the main reason we chose this place over others. The property management was slow to respond to basic questions. The property owner was however very responsive and helpful. The location is quieter than other areas of Sayulita that we’ve stayed in and that was very nice. Its is a lot of steps - definitely use the steps and not the windy street to get to town. We learned that the hard way. Our daughter loved the shared heated pool in the common area.

Th property is so beautiful. We had a huge front patio and ocean view. The interior was spacious and modern. It would have been perfect if only our washing machine had worked and didn't smell.
We thought we would be able to walk back from town at night but that wasn't the case. We rented a golf cart and that solved the problem. There were no instructions for the TV. We were hoping to watch a movie at night. Our private pool heater was broken so we could use it. No matter, we had a great time with only slight disappointments.

The unit itself is nice, spacious, great view and patio in the back, lots of windows. It could be awesome, with some updating and better maintenance. Unfortunately, it was not as advertised. The pool was not cleaned and the heating unit was not working, so it was not usable. The washing machine was broken, all four patio recliners were broken/not fully usable, the front door was very hard to lock/unlock, and the lock on the sliding door to the patio was essentially not functioning, and we had to rig up something to block the door from sliding when we were gone. From what we could gather, these were known problems, but had gone unaddressed and we were not notified in advance. The washer was finally fixed the day we left and for some reason the maintenance folks only repaired two of the recliners half way into our stay. Did this ruin our vacation? No. But it was definitely distracting, as we tried to chase these issues down and coordinate with the staff on site while we we should've be out having fun. I guess the advice I'd offer to others (aside from being prepared for MANY stairs) is maybe inquire in advance that everything is ok in the unit and working properly. In the end, the owner refunded one day's charge, which I'd say was the bare minimum appropriate for this situation.

We love the property. Great location. Our particular property was a bit worn.

We really enjoyed our first time in Sayulita. As others have said there are quite a bit of stairs to navigate from the beach to the unit but honestly we didn’t find it to be a huge deal (ages 2-74). We found it to be a great workout at the end of the day. One thing to know is that we rented a 6 seat golf cart and the rental company wouldn’t let us park on top of the hill (sounds like a four seater would have been no problem).
We had a very minor maintenance issue with the unit and both the property owner and manager where very quick to respond and make the situation right.
We would definitely recommend staying at this unit to enjoy Sayulita. Also highly recommend getting a golf cart during your stay!

We are so happy we found this place! The host and condo staff were amazingly helpful and responsive. The condo itself is an oasis on top of a hill with amazing views and your own private pool. Downtown Sayulita is a reasonable walk or very quick golf cart ride away. We had an amazing five days here and would happily book this again.

This property is huge and spacious. It has everything. It’s own pool as well as the public pool. Hugs terrace with beautiful views. Everything you need is in the unit. Very clean. Very comfortable. There is a tv in the living room but not the bedrooms. The owner and staff are super responsive and helpful. It’s on the top of the mountain hill. You must like to walk. There are many steps. Rent a golf cart to get up to the property. It’s a very steep rugged road.

We had a great time in Condo 801. Plenty of space for six of us to hang out. We liked being out of the main part of Sayulita. We thought the walk to town was not bad, but it depends on what you are used to. There are a lot of stairs, but again, if you are in somewhat decent shape, not a big deal. My 78-year-old mother-in-law did not enjoy them at all. There are a couple of elevators, but they only go up to certain floors. I personally found it easier/quicker to just use the stairs. Great shared pool area, although only the top pool is heated. The ‘hot tub’ was not hit during our stay. The small private pool for the condo is a nice addition. Great view from the rooftop area. The owner, Mary, was quickly responsive to all my questions before and during the stay. The other staff were helpful also. It is a short walk to the beach, with a good little place to eat/drink right on the way and a little bar right on the beach that we enjoyed having margaritas from.

We chose this place bc we were looking for excellent outdoor space and close to beach. It didn’t disappoint! The complex is well cared for and felt safe (as did Sayulita as a whole). I loved this area bc it felt a bit quieter than downtown but walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping, all we would need. We got a golf cart and loved seeing the square when we wanted. The primary and secondary bedrooms are awesome. As is the kitchen, living room and outside. Perfect for hanging out. The third bedroom is one that has a queen/full bed but it’s darker and smaller than the others.

Beautiful property with the best views! It was great to have a private pool for the kids. Would recommend a golf cart in this location although it is totally walkable, just steep roads. Very spacious and clean!

Be warned that renting this unit you definitely do need the all-terrain golf cart rental! We are so glad we rented that because the views from this unit and the private pool were perfect. We swam every morning and every night. It was heated and just ultimately perfect for my girls weekend getaway. The place itself is huge, I unfortunately never made it to the pool but it looked beautiful. The host was easy to contact via Whatsapp and also helped us arrange taxi service when we left for the airport. We definitely had a good laugh every time we drove up the hill - we called it the Indiana Jones ride of Sayulita. So if you've been to Disneyland you'll know how bumpy of a ride/drive this hill will be!

Morning Coffee with a stunning view of the Pacific!
We really enjoyed our stay in Sayulita at this condo.
The property is accurately described. It is spacious and clean (except a little mold in the corners of the master shower) with a lot of natural light! The master mattress could probably be updated too. The private heated jet pool on the private patio was a super plus as our whole family enjoyed it daily. The sights and sounds of the jungle from our balcony were a real treat! There are a lot of steps to and from the comunity infinity pool, however it is totally manageable even if you're a little out of shape like myself. We rented a compact SUV as we wanted to explore the nearby beaches and towns and our car made it up the steep hill to the top parking lot without an issue. We are a family of six, two adults, two teens and two school aged kids. The home suited our needs perfectly, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare quick meals. We stopped by the Walmart on our way in from the PVR airport to get food and essential. The security staff was waiting for us to arrive at the front gate because our flight was delayed and we arrived to the property later than expected (after 11pm). The communication with management (Chelsie and Adrian) was really smooth and everyone on site was helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks so much!

A perfect stay!
This property was perfect! An amazing view, spacious for all us, clean and just lovely! The hill was a welcome workout for those of us who didn't want to ride the golf cart up the hill. Adrian was extremely helpful, always there for us when we needed something!
Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Beautiful views!
The condo was very clean and comfortable with lovely outdoor space.
We didn’t rent a golf cart and walked into town every day and found the walk up to the condo challenging but that was a good thing as we felt like we were getting some exercise.

Christmas Vacation 2021
We had a lovely stay at Unit 801 the week between Christmas and New Year's 2021. Chelsea and Adrian were very quick to respond to our questions. We really appreciated their timeliness.
I would like to address the stairs. We read reviews saying both the stairs are a big deal and the stairs are not a big deal. We did not rent a golf cart and after our trip I'm glad we didn't. That said, the stairs are a big deal. There are a lot of stairs (about 150) and steep ramps. If you have any mobility issues or are traveling with young children, you definitely want to rent a golf cart. With a golf cart you can drive to the top of the complex and walk down one flight of stairs instead of walking up 150+ stairs. We embraced the challenge of the stairs and enjoyed the exercise they gave us. They got easier as the week progressed, but if that isn't your vacation jam, you need to rent a golf cart. Also know that there is still one flight of stairs even if you rent a golf cart.
The apartment is spacious and the patio is huge. We are a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and we were able to spread out and have our own space. The neighborhood is quiet and a little bit of walk into the main town. We enjoyed the walks and thought it was a nice trade off for quiet.
They provided plenty of bath and beach towels as well as 3 beach chairs and an umbrella.
I'll also note here that Sayulita has at least 2 options for Antigen and PCR tests if you need that to return home.
My only feedback is that some of the apartment finishes seem a little tired and could use a refresh.

Spacious with a Wonderful View
We have been coming to Sayuluta for 6 years now and this is the first time we have stayed here. The view from atop the hill was amazing. The property manager was very responsive when we needed the pool temperature turned up a bit. There are a lot of stairs in the complex, but not am issue for is as we always rent a golf car when in town. If you are staying in this upper unit, I recommend renting a cart and utilizing the upper parking lot if you want to avoid the stairs. Thank you Mary and Chelsea!

Sayulita dreams do come true
Honestly I found from start the finish property management were super helpful, informative and friendly.
Adrian that assisted with everything for the week was superb... always helpful and timely if we needed anything at all.
The place was absolutely perfect - the layout was open with an amazing view of the ocean and a pool right on the patio for the kids. Makes for a tremendous view of the sunset from the top.
The shared pool was clean and large - was a hit for all. This place is walking distance to the markets and amazing places to get fish tacos! Loved the people there - super friendly. And loved how it was gated and safe at night.
There were a few things that people should be aware of while staying at this property though....
There was no BBQ when it did say it on the ad so we got quite creative real quick with our meals. There are SO many stairs since you are right at the top - they are installing elevators but until then it is a full body workout. All uphill. We met a few people vacationing with bad knees that were unaware of this. Just be aware it’s a bit of a climb to the top.
We were unaware of the damage deposit in pesos that was needed at the time of arrival and did provide it but def check what is needed in a Canadian or US deposit so you can use the pesos you brought - just a helpful tip.
All in all we were so happy with this vacation and the property itself. Cleaning staff was great too in between our busy days.
Recommend this Villa for sure ♥️

Awesome vacation!!
We spent some incredible days at Villa Alhelies . Area is huge with a spacious outside and decorated very nicely. It was very nice to find a place that had a heater in the pool because the weather was somewhat chilly and we wanted to enjoy the pool.
We found everything we needed to feel just like home. The kitchen is fully equipped, excellent internet service, with a wide tv channel variety and chairs to take to the beach.
The bedroom was one of the best parts of the stay. Bed was extremely comfy and the condo was nice and quiet.
We could see the jungle from the deck and one day we even had a show from a group of birds that were migrating to the north, it was majestic!!
We rented a golf cart so we didnt have any trouble going up and down the stairs.
All the staff is always seeking for ways on how to help us . For example i needed to rent a cradle for my little niece and a high chair. Also Stacey and Vicky were so nice to us!
We would definitely look forward to another visit at this Villas and we highly recommend it .

Too Expensive for what you get
First off.....LOVE Sayulita!! We will return for sure! As for Villa Alheli, it was a fantastic location with a great community pool but, we felt as though we paid too much for what we got. There was obvious results of water damage, such as the crumbling walls, and the "third" bedroom, smelling of mould and being dark and dingy (our kids were scared to sleep in it.) The whole apartment actually had a smell to it. The bathroom sinks were literally falling off the wall and the bath towels that we received, most of them came with holes in them. The outdoor space was great and added a lot of extra space but the balcony, or lack there of for better terms was a little nerve racking with kids. Unfortunately we would not return to this specific apartment.... unless there are significant upgrades to service, presentation and safety. Or a huge change in price!

Responsive hosts, great location/views
Loved being a little walk / golf cart ride from the heart of Sayulita. Amazing views. This is a condo, so there are others around you, and you share a backyard. While we had a great time and this home was ultimately fine for our group, there were a few things that happened: 1) no wifi. Which is expected in Mexico, but there was a lot of back and forth with Eric and Stacy. The hosts were nice and responsive, but I didn't want to spend my vacation time texting back and forth with them about the wifi, when I was also roaming on my own phone plan. Do NOT expect wifi if you're traveling here. A man came and tried to fix the wifi twice, and it did not work. 2) There was so much noise at night that we were woken up more than once. The noise sounded like construction that began at 2:30 am and went all the way to 5:30 am. We were confused as to what the noise was because construction in the middle of the night sounds weird, but there is no other reason for that type of loud noise. Once I texted Eric about it, the noise stopped the next night. It was odd. The sounds of the waves are a nice touch though we could barely hear them over the noise.
Eric was very helpful in planning transportation and helping to schedule our AllyCat sailing cruise. Stacy was helpful as well and super responsive throughout the trip.

Good value and location
We had a great stay at this condo due to the helpfulness of the owner and Eric.
I don’t know why people complain about the stairs so much, they were not that bad! But the best thing to do is let Eric arrange a golf cart for you prior to your arrival. You can park at the back door of the building and walk down two flights of stairs to the unit. Really easy and was an enjoyable way to get around this small town. View was great, hearing the waves crash was soothing, and the cleanliness of the unit was perfect. Only complaint would be that we could hear the tenants above running around some mornings. This is not the fault of the owner but the inconsiderate guests above. We liked that the building had a privacy and that it was slightly out of town (mere minutes via golf cart) which made it very quiet. Would stay here again.

Unforgettable Vacations
Had a wonderful time in Sayulita and the staff at Pajaro did an excellent job. Pajaro is a nice complex, the staff was extremely helpful and anytime we needed something they were available to accommodate us. Villa Alheli was beautiful, with spectacular view and had everything that we needed. Only negative is there are a lot of stairs to climb and no elevator. If you are a healthy person it should not be a problem. Our feeling was that after all of the delicious food and drinks we would consume in town, the walk back to the unit helped to burn all the calories.
We asked to have the heat in our pool turned on before arrival and while most of the pools in complex were cool ours was the perfect temp.
Fully stocked kitchen with some spices.
The bed in master suite was very comfortable.
Overall this is a very nice place to stay.
Thank you Eric, Stacey, Mary and staff for a wonderful vacation. Hope to be back soon.

A lovely, bright condo with great outdoor space.
We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment itself is really large and spacious and the outdoor space is lovely. There are lots of stairs, but we didn't mind at all...it helped to work off the delicious churro we had every evening walking back from town. You could rent a golf cart, as the walk into town in about 10-15 minutes, but we actually preferred the walk.
There was a sewage smell from the master bedroom washroom, however the property manager said that they were going to attend to that. I hope that is the case, because the smell was quite bad.
Stacey and the other staff at the condo complex were always helpful and kind.
The walk to the beach was a few minutes and it's a great spot for beach walks and jumping in the waves.
Sayulita is a very sweet town, the only thing that I think they need to address is their sewage issue. It would be a shame for them not to. Three out of the four of us got sick and most people we spoke to in town or on the beach, had also been sick and I am sure it is because of poor sanitization. From what I understand the town has grown quickly with many more toilets put in without the support of the sewage system in the town growing.
At any rate, we were very happy wth our accommodations.

Wonderful stay in Sayulita!
We loved every minute of our stay in Sayulita! The location is a little north of the town square but if you are OK with stairs and about a 15 minute walk, this condo is perfect! It's quiet and feels secluded even being inside of a small complex. There is a wonderful patio space and pool overlooking the ocean. The view is incredible from everywhere! The kitchen is big and well equipped. All the rooms are huge with very comfortable beds. Property management was very kind, attentive and responsive. They helped arrange airport cars, met us upon arrival and were readily available when we had questions or concerns. Would come back in a heartbeat!
