Welcome to Mountain Stay Chalet!
Mountain Stay Chalet is a newly renovated 3BR/2BA home located about 50 feet from the first hole on Beech Mountain Golf Course. This home extends convenient proximity to the slopes and a warm sauna after a full day of skiing! It is close to everything Beech Mountain offers, and it has year-round views of the Appalachian Mountains.
Mountain Stay Chalet has a new beautiful layout, a gorgeous view of the Appalachian Mountains, offers an easy walk to golf and a quick drive to the slopes. It is also located just a short distance to the heart of the town of Beech Mountain. Enjoy shopping at Fred's General Mercantile, where you can rent skis and equipment, buy groceries, and enjoy the unique atmosphere. Very close by are the sledding hill and ice skating facility. Enjoy all the amenities offered by Beech Mountain Club as well.
Beech Mountain Club
Guests with a reservation at are eligible to apply for a membership transfer to the Beech Mountain Club (BMC) for the dates of the reservation.
BMC policies apply to a membership transfer. Please read the policy document carefully.
Upon booking, guests will receive an email with instructions, the BMC transfer policies, and the transfer application. The application must be submitted to the club by the guest at least 3 days prior to the transfer start date, which can be no sooner than your arrival date.
Please note BMC Policy 4a. : owners membership is limited to two transfers per month based on a first come first serve basis. It is recommended to submit your application as soon as possible. CCR is unable to inform inquiring guests if two transfers are already accepted in a calendar month. Guests will need to contact BMC for information.
A membership transfer fee starting at $300 is charged to the guest by BMC upon the start date of the membership transfer.

Cabin was clean. Easy to find. Exactly like the description online. Beds were very comfortable layout was nice. Everything worked well stocked kitchen.
Main living area really only has four comfortable seating surfaces so keep that in mind if you have a slightly larger party. Kitchen small but very sufficient.

Perfect house for our long family weekend in the mountains! The house had everything we needed and the views were truly spectacular! All the falls colors were in full force!! The kids bedroom was perfect!

Overall great value and location
Overall we enjoyed the stay at the Mountain Chalet! Plenty of beds and the listing was accurate. The only thing was there were cobwebs everywhere. I know the property was cleaned because everything else was great. That was the only thing we noticed!

Perfect Snow Trip
My family and I had a great time. It snowed several inches the night we arrived so it made for great sledding the next day. The house is right across from a golf course, which when covered in snow, is great for sledding!
We came in a 2 wheel drive minivan. While we didn’t have any issues, I would recommend 4 wheel drive vehicles as we did spin our tires a few times on the way out.
The property was managed beautifully. After the snow, they came and plowed the road up to our driveway. Customer service was also great and answered quickly if we had any questions.
We’ll be coming back!

Beautiful and peaceful
We had such a great visit to Beech Mountain. The area is gorgeous, the view from the deck, breathtaking. We loved seeing the deer and the rock formations. The house was so comfy and cozy for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. What a great plus to have a washer and dryer. A great place to just chill out and enjoy the mountains- and we did:)

Beautiful, quiet getaway
This chalet was perfect for our family. The mountain views were breathtaking. We loved watching the deer, and playing games by the fireplace after a day of adventuring through the Mountains.
There was a refrigerator leak when we arrived at 8pm. We called management, and they sent someone to take care of it first thing in the morning. They were quick and thorough.

March getaway
The property is located on a beautiful part of the mountain. While we had a great time, the cabin needs a little tlc. When we got there, a pair of dirty socks were left I’m assuming from the previous renter. Kind of gross. There was a lot of dust and the pots and pans were filthy so we did not end up even being able to use them. The cabin does have some nice charm and a beautiful view, but it needs a deep cleaning where everything is taken out and cleaned thoroughly. Overall, our stay was peaceful and the fireplace was a gem!

Loved the house ! Had such a good time ! This seems small but we sleep with a fan but didn’t bring ours so it was nice they had fans in the room . View was beautiful. Loved seeing the deer every day ! Very clean . Loved the remote control gas fire place !

Awesome Stay!!
The cabin and customer service exceeded my expectations. There was an issue with the fireplace and the property manager promptly called me to ensure I was aware. He was so kind, I truly appreciated his call and all the advice he gave me about the driving directions. The cabin was clean and cozy and the view was amazing. My family and I truly loved every moment we spent there. We are definitely looking forward to returning. Thank you for an awesome experience.

The home was perfect for a fall getaway. The views from the deck are spectacular. We saw so many deer while there.

Also downstairs bedrooms and baths need to be updated.The home was not super clean when we arrived and two screens and the dryer were broken.Sonya was very helpful in getting the screens and dryer repaired.Also the windows were very dirty inside and out. We washed them ourselves and then enjoyed the beautiful view.

Poorly Managed Home
We arrived and the home and outside area were filthy. We spent the first two days cleaning(all documented with pictures). Box to store trash was completely tore up. We had to keep trash inside. We literally had to call/email management daily. They would respond sometimes but not do/fix the problem. We were promised access to the country club (on website and receipt for property) but never got it.

The place is near everything yet feels so far away. Just the ride up the mountains is epic. The house is at the end of the road so no traffic

Nice views!
House is as stated in the description... a bit older and small, reasonably well kept, limited living room seating, good seating for dining. Beautiful views, nice covered porch with good seating. There were a few black ants in the kitchen. Occasional strong sewer smell outside on/off during day, believe to be when showers are running... not great when relaxing outside. For the kiddos, TV in each room with cable (no streaming services, e.g. Netflix). Sheets had a bit of fuzz on them, which was odd (perhaps washed with a blanket?). Nice location on golf range. We enjoyed seeing many deer, daily! Decent price before all the property management fees, which made it overpriced for what you get.

Recent stay experience
This is the 2nd time we rented Mountain Stay Chalet (both times in February). This past visit was last minute and I had called Carolina Cabin Rentals on Feb. 25th prior to booking online. When we had stayed over President's Day weekend, we had a problem with the coffee maker. A new one was delivered but it leaked. We left 2 voice mail messages and didn't get a call back. I also emailed upon returning home. When I called on the 25th (prior to renting again), I asked if the coffee maker had been fixed/replaced and was told yes. To our surprise, it was the exact same (broken/leaking) coffee maker. My husband called and there was no answer, but he left a message (on Saturday, Feb. 29th around 8:30am). No call back was received from Carolina Cabins personnel. It's a bit disappointing because this is the 3rd rental we have booked with you in the past 2 1/2 months. I will now question whether we should rent again in the future. The house itself is great and we enjoyed it. Just disappointed that we raised an issue - TWICE - and it was not addressed at all. I am assuming that 1 Star is the lowest rating and 5 Stars is the highest (there's no explanation in the drop down menu indicating whether 1 Star is low/bad and 5 Stars are high/excellent)? I'm giving a 1 Star because we are very disappointed in the most recent experience.

An return in the summer .Just a few observations to improve the experience there were some hairs in the shower and a few cob webs in the ceiling corners
Pipes starting to rattle an knock as well as the lights went out leaving us with out heat on the last night overall experience hands down was excellent the views phenomenal an very relaxing an quiet we will be coming back in the summer

Great family Vacation
Our stay overall was great. The cabin was clean however I would have like cleaner bathrooms. The space and views were wonderful. We all enjoy the fireplace. We did not enjoy the noise coming from the screen front door at night. There was something wrong with it, so it wouldn't close, and the wind would swing it back and forth all night. Finally, we receive great response
from Carolina Cabin Rentals. Every time we had a question, we receive a precise and quick response. We would definitely rent through this company again.

The best ever
The only thing that was disappointing was that I asked Carolina Cabin Rentals to make sure that we had at least a foot of snow while I was there. Their order came in a day too late. The day I was leaving (Dec 1), they were preparing for almost a foot of snow! The cabin was nice, the views were outstanding and the neighbors were extremely friendly. I will stay there again!

Beautiful house. Great location. Beautiful views of the mountains and the golf course. Reasonably priced. Close to the ski resort. No snow when we went though. I could stay there forever!

Excellent View
We were extremely satisfied with the accomodations at the Mountainstay Chalet, and although the tv and Internet were not working during our stay, the view from the deck of the morning sunrises as we drank coffee and enjoyed breakfast more than made up for the inconvenience.

Amazing
We booked the cabin very short notice. Literally the day of arriving and the whole experience was flawless. The cabin had a key code entrance so we didn't have to worry about checking in or out. Also, the cabin was very clean and had all the basic necessities supplied. I would visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Will Return!!
My kids and I had a great time staying at the Mountain Stay Chalet. The house could not have been at a better location on the mountain - the views were amazing! Though we did not play golf, we did walk the course both mornings and the amount of wildlife we encountered was astonishing. This made for a fantastic experience for the kids!
Only problem was - we didn't stay longer, but we'll be back!!

Beautiful Views
Pros: The home has easy access from the parking deck with no stairs if you have someone elderly with you. The views from the house are spectacular and the deer plentiful. We were all pleased with the comfort of the king and double mattresses. There is a Keurig Coffee Maker as well as a Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffee maker. The fireplace and gas logs are lovely and make the upstairs feel like home. The house is on a quiet gravel dead end road and is a short walking distance from the Beech Mountain Golf Clubhouse that has a dining room and bar. We enjoyed being able to walk out the front door onto the golf cart path and walk along the golf course. The views are beautiful!
Cons: There is not ample seating for nine people in the living area if the weather does not allow you to enjoy the outside porch. There are plenty of chairs at the table and bar. We stayed Thanksgiving weekend and found we had most of the things we needed in the kitchen. Things you may need: Blender, hand mixer, ice (there are ice trays), paper plates and coffee cups if you have 9 people. Lots of dog hair.
Deal breaker: There is noticeable water damage in the downstairs king bedroom. The paneling on the wall around the window is warped and there is a smell in both downstairs bedrooms that the homeowner needs to address.

Lovely place
We enjoyed the wildlife, the view, and the house was very nice. There was a weird smell in the room with bunk beds but other than that it was wonderful. Thanks for sharing your house with us.
