Super Unterkunft für eine oder mehrere Nächte. Alles so, wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. sauber. eine wirklich gute Unterkunft. das Restaurant des Inhabers ist 30 m entfernt und super lecker! Absolut zu empfehlen.

Lamentável

Foi o albergue que retirou o pagamento muito antes das 48horas. Avisei 2 dias antes que não poderia estar por questões de saúde, normal para os peregrinos, Foram insensíveis e não devolveram o dinheiro. Lamentável. Não reconendo

Consigliatissimo

Arredamento bellissimo. Nuovissimo. Molto particolare come sistemazione. Pur essendo un ostello con numerosi letti, ogni stanzetta rimane con la sua privacy e a quattro letti. Io e i miei 3 figli Era come se avessimo una stanza privata tutta per noi. Staff disponibilissimo ed eccezionale. Adiacente a tutti i servizi per caffetteria, ristorante e supermercato. Posizione strategica vicinissima allo stupendo ponte di Pontesempaio.

A very nice and clean Albergue on the Camino.

Clean room, clean bedding and bathroom. Kitchen to prepare food. Near a restaurant/bar. Helpful staff. Near the Camino.

The one bed is boxed on top of a drawer cupboard. The wooden base was very noisy when you turn and made it difficult to fall asleep. Bright automatic bathroom light. Squeaky bedroom door.

The perfect rest stop on the Camino

I honestly wish I could have stayed another night. The whole place was squeaky clean, especially the bathroom! The bed was super comfortable with wonderful privacy curtains and a little personal shelf, and the bar attached to the hostel cooks up the BEST pulpo a feria. There’s a river-beach a few paces away to relax like the locals do and also, the river is the perfect place to soak tired feet in cold water. The hostel is just a minutes walk back to the Camino path. Like many places in Spain, the walls are thin and the place is a bit echoey when folks make noise. Bring your earplugs if you’re sensitive to that.

Fin de etapa Camino de Santiago

A pesar de ser albergue, tienen una habitación de dos camas con baño privado. El trato del dueño excelente; el desayuno, comida y cena muy ricas.

La almohada demasiada baja. Tuve que poner una sudadera debajo para que subiera un poco. Poca insonorización, se escuchan a los peregrinos en la sala de estar.

I liked the bunk beds with curtains for privacy. They also provided linen and towels. I will definitely recommend staying at this albergue. They also have a restaurant just down the road with excellent food.

There was a group travelling with young children, who were clearly very excited about the adventure. They were however quite loud until late in the night. Guess that is the luck of the draw on the night.

It exceeded my expectations. I had a private room. Bathroom and shower were shared but they were really clean. The Restaurant food was really good.

You can hear everyone snoring, but it's normal for this type of staying.

Superb

Extremely good value for money! Easy to reach and the restaurant close by is a bonus after a long day of walking. The aircon and private bathroom were comfortable spoils!

Unfortunately I did see a few bed bugs - luckily I sprayed some of my own insect repellant and got away without any bites!

A lovely place for pilgrims

I have had some tough nights in other hostels/albergues on my camino, so O Mesón was a great place to feel at home and get comfortable for the night. The facilities were very clean and modern, Thomas was a welcoming host and the beds offered some privacy and we even had a window nearby for some fresh air.

Some bunk beds are simply on the corridor to the other private rooms, so as soon as the first person got up, everyone was awake.

Nice and clean hostel. Good place to have some rest during camino.

To check in you have to go to the cafe two blocks away. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding and when I came back after taking a shower my bed was given to somebody else. I had to go to the cafe again to ask for a new bed and received no apologies from the staff.

The pilgrims must have stolen the toilet roll! 🙄

The place was clean and showers strong and hot. Just a little off the camino trail. They had 5 cafe down the street that served food. Small lock for valuables in the dorm. Note that you do need a 1 euro coin, which you get back. Little shelf to put stuff on by bed. The kitchen is pretty good downstairs, too.

I scored them down because we had 2 ladies' toilets. 1 run out of toilet paper by 7pm. The other was empty the following morning at 6.30 am. I did message in the evening that there was an issue, but it was not picked up until lunchtime the following day, and the response was that the pilgrims must have stolen it. I've stayed in a number of hostels, including on this trip, and no one has run out of toilet roll. It was a disappointing response to blame the guests.

Clean, tidy, bar, good food, big garden with tables & chairs, helpful staff, comfortable beds, good showers, breakfast included. Overall exellent value for money. €7 steak and chips was lush.

Great experience

This was the only albergue we stayed at during the Camino and we loved it. I highly recommend it for people who want to experience what it is like to sleep in an albergue while walking. Facilities are clean, sheets and towels were clean, and overall a nice experience in the private triple room.

Noise travels through the walls, if you like to talk a lot or are a light sleeper maybe find a different location.
