About this house rental
Enjoy this luxury home with your friends and family. There is plenty of space to unwind after a long day full of Tahoe activities. Ideally located in Carnelian Bay, you are close to many beaches, restaurants, and activities for all seasons. Feel free to bring your dog and enjoy several pet friendly beaches in the area as well! The home has a total of 3 bedrooms, plus a extra pull out for sleeping of 8 people total. The 3 large bedrooms are equipped with private en-suite bathrooms. The large kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking needs, along with a formal and an informal dining area. The private hot tub is located in the back yard and there is a fully fenced backyard for added privacy. The game room includes pool table, foosball, air hockey, and large screen TV! Bedroom Configurations: Master Bedroom 1: King Bed Bedroom 2: Queen Bed Bedroom 3: Queen Bed Extra sleeping: King Sofa Bed pull out in living room Features: * Hot Tub * Game Room (pool table, foosball, air hockey, and large TV) * 3 master suites with private bathrooms * Fully fenced in yard for privacy * Wifi * Pet Friendly (fee applies) * Gas BBQ (Not guaranteed in the winter.) Parking: There is available parking for 4 cars. 2 in the garage and 2 in the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance. Other things to Note: * Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access. * Due to the temperate climate, like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There are plenty of fans available in the event that we have an unusual hot spell. *Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. Overall, great place. My wife though the mattress needed updated, but other then that it is a great location. Roads can be a little tough with winter conditions! Make sure you have 4x4 or you can't get around during the storm!!

This property is a great place to get away to Tahoe's serenity. It was the ideal place for our family ski weekend.

We went up for a week and during that time had friends and family stay with us. The space in the home was flexible and we were able to manage guests easily. There is more than enough space so we never felt on top of each other but were also all able to be together very easily.
The fenced in yard for our dog was a big plus, the hot tub was great, and the game room provided ample entertainment. The bedrooms were great especially having their own bathrooms.
Suggestions for you, the visitor: the TV/entertainment options were a little limited. We always bring a chromecast when we travel and it was definitely helpful. The kitchen is fantastic with cookware, knives, and utensils, but lacks in the seasoning department. No worries.... bring your own!
This place was a wonderful home away from home. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back.

This is a beautiful house located within reach of shops, skiing, snowmobiling, trails, lake, a perfect getaway for any occasion. We enjoyed all the amenities this house had to offer, game room, hot tub, family room. Definitely a perfect house for a family visit and if you have pets, this house does have an enclosed back yard. Besides few minor repairs that should be addressed this is a beautiful house. And i would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great time at this home for New Year’s Eve weekend as 3 adult couples. We loved that there were 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms so no one felt subjected to having to have a lesser room. The kitchen is large and has all the basics you need. The furniture was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the game room foozball and card games (the pool sticks are non functional as they are missing tips and the air hockey needs to be repaired). The hot tub is large and in a great fenced in yard that our dog loved hanging out in. This house is located in Cornelian Bay and is beautifully remodeled from the exterior with plenty of garage and driveway space for our 3 cars. We will definitely recommend and come back ourselves!

House was great -- exactly as described, lots of amenities. We used the pool table and very well stocked kitchen a ton. Fenced in yard was super helpful for the dogs.Only issue was that they were doing controlled burns in the area the weekend we were there and the air was technically at 'hazardous' levels. It was thick and hard to breath. Literally everything we brought has a strong smoke smell now, even our computers somehow. I guess bad luck on our part, but highly recommend confirming with them ahead of arrival that no burns are scheduled if you have any respiratory issues. Even our dogs were struggling by the time we left.

It was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was close to a great beach adjacent to Gar Woods. Get to beach early because it is popular. The house was spacious and the game room was great. The yard was fully fenced in for the dog.

The property is beautiful, picturesque with lots of room for my large family. There are beautiful trails for miles just a block away. On the down side, the water heater is way too small for the number of people this house accommodates. Many cold showers were taken. I was surprised that little things around the house were worn out or broken. The jets in the master tub don't work, the window off the master bath was not able to be retracted once opened, the kitchen fire extinguisher fell off of the wall, Both gates to the back yard are settled and broken. It was described as pet friendly but my dogs got through two weak spots in the fence which is aging. An hinge is not connected in one of the kitchen cabinets. There are only two unwarped pool cues and the pool table leans to one side so it affects your shots. It all speaks to maintenance and upkeep. Not sure who is handling that for the owners but they have a lot of to do's on the list. For the money I paid, I shouldn't have to be fixing things around the house and property myself. All that said, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay here for the most part. With a little TLC and minimal investment, this place could be a top property. I'd start with smart tv's over the ancient cable setup in place. I'd go back hoping some of these things would have been addressed.

We loved the location and the layout of this house. It is very clean, very spacious and the game room is perfect for adults and kids alike. It has all of the amenities and a great backyard. The neighborhood was quiet and the location was perfect, would definitely stay again!

The Woodchuck Luxury Lodge was a perfect home for our family gathering. Renters just before us left an unattended dog that damaged the property. We were immediately contacted by Tahoe Rental Company to notify us that repair work was being done prior to our arrival. The lodge was clean, full of wonderful space and all the comforts of home. If there were any questions or issues, Tahoe Rental was very easy to connect with and 100% responsive. Our family would stay again and again.

The property is beautiful and spacious! The property management company gave multiple e-mail notifications and instructions on our arrival.
The loft was awesome for the “kids” (young adults) to hang out in! We had awesome meals in the lovely kitchen. The garbage disposal did not work with the switch but it was going to be fixed. The spa worked perfectly! Great relaxing in after a full day of skiing.
Lots of blankets, sheets, towels and plates, etc. not enough sponges nor was there any tissues. We bought some which was no big deal. Nice and friendly neighborhood.

This house is big and offers everything we need. We especially like the game room. Kids love playing air hockey and foosball. The communication with the property management company is very easy. They respond quickly even on the night of Thanksgiving.
Overall We enjoyed our stay very much. We definitely will be back next time.

This was a very enjoyable vacation for me and my family. The lodge is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The game room is amazing although the TV remote didn't work very well even after I changed the batteries, and a comfortable chair or two would be nice. We brought the one in from the main bedroom, which was nice. There were a few minor issues but Tahoe Rental Company was VERY quick to respond. Beds are firm but it actually seemed to help my back! My kids loved the spa and being dog friendly was a major plus for us. If you're "pillow picky" you might want to bring your own. There are a ton of towels so no worry there. Other than a mop and vacuum cleaners (one on each level), there were no cleaning supplies available. Very nice washer and dryer located upstairs but the dryer takes a while to dry. Vent pipe may need cleaning. Having 2 half bathrooms (one in the game room) was very convenient since all bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The TV in the living room is a little small but if it was located on the mantle it would be more visible. Note: Those who may be offended by the presence of mounted animals may wish to look elsewhere for a rental. All in all this is a great place to vacation. It's absolutely beautiful! We will certainly rent it again!

My now, wife and I, got married in Carnelian Bay and we stayed our wedding week in this wonderful home with our four kids. They thoroughly enjoyed the game room, while we were all able to enjoy some of our own space. We would highly recommend this gorgeous home to any family especially with those who have children over ten (as are our children). My wife told me she was not ever going go leave. It was a dream and we hope many others will enjoy. The neighborhood, proximity to shops, restaurants, etc were perfect. The only thing we would have hoped
for would be small things like more products like laundry soap, dish soap, tp, etc that would have lasted a family of six for the week. These, however; are only suggestions and nothing that made this home anything less than a five star. Thank you for having your home available and for it contributing to such an important week in out lives.

Three generations spent the weekend together at this lovely property. The house was the perfect for our family gathering. The hot tub and game room were gathering points for the younger generations. The kitchen was well appointed - even with a rice cooker! We were able to spend time together over fabulous meals at the very comfortable dining table. We were here in the area for a wedding. We have rented many houses over the years, and this one rates in the top 5. The house was clean and well equipped. The large, fully enclosed backyard was perfect for the dogs. Unfortunately, we were there during the Mosquito Fire and the smoke was in the hazardous air quality zone. We never got to use the hot tub because it was so unhealthy to be outside. We would definitely like to come back when the air quality is better.

We had a wonderful time at the Woodchuck Lodge! Very comfortable and cozy and loved the large fenced in yard for our two Golden Retrievers to roam. Deck out back needs a little love, and would be nice if it was railed. All in all, we would definitely rent this home again. Thank you for having us!!

Beautiful home. Perfect for our family. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of food storage space. Loved the fenced yard for the dog. Location seemed equally distanced between Tahoe City and Kingsbeach. Disappointed it wasn’t walkable to the beach or Garwoods. Cons: The deck is without railings, small and dangerous. Outdoor entertaining space would be a tremendous plus. The dead animals and furs everywhere are bit creepy.We would definitely return.

Exactly as presented. Great central location yet super quiet. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with many small appliances which was really nice (waffles for breakfast!). The property was very clean and very comfortable. The house instructions were clear and we were very comfortable. Did not want to leave!

Summer Vacation

This cabin is extremely large! The upstairs game room is fantastic for our family. The kids had a great time playing hide and seek too, since there are lots of hiding places! There was an issue with laundry, as there is a washer/dryer but there was no detergent provided. The management company did drop some off promptly. Also, in my opinion, with a cabin this size, it would be a great feature to provide just some basic shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The other Airbnb’s we have stayed in provided those, and it makes traveling for a longer stay much easier. So if you travel to this cabin, be sure to bring ALL of your necessary toiletries, or you will be running to the store!

Wonderful time!
Our stay here was great! Loved the cabin feel of the home and the game room was a huge plus. Fenced in backyard for our dogs to run around was much used. Easy access to everything local nearby!

We had a great stay. We didn’t get to stay long due to the highway closures from the snow storm. However during the time we were there, the place was perfect esp the yard. It was perfect for our dog.
We couldn’t try the hot tub because it was buried in snow but that’s no fault of the owner.
Overall would love to come again - minus the snow storm!
I do caution anyone coming up during the winter. The hills to the house are quite steep and icy. I definitely recommend chains.
