A great city break!

The hotel was perfect for a couple of nights stay in Nairobi between adventures. The area is nice and we felt safe to walk to the local shops and restaurants.

The pool was not really accessible - we asked for it to be opened and it was and was cleaned but it is quite small and in a shaded area of the garden.

Tolerable for a two night stay being mostly away from the hotel anyways.

The location is very good.

Pictures of the rooms are heavily edited and don’t match reality. Especially bad was the condition of the bathroom. Our rooms was facing the garden where on both nights a loud party was taking place. Fortunately ear plugs helped. The service in the restaurant is extremely slow.

the staff were very helpful & sweet..the food was tasty..the location is in the heart of karora forest where you get to enjoy mother nature to the fullest,& at the same time it's very close to the city center

just the furniture needs a little bit of renovation & the lighting is abit dim

Comfort and nature-feel in the middle of the city

Great location and scenery. Delicious food. Overall, nice room and lounge and courteous staff

Bathroom was leaking. Food seemed overpriced Monkeys harass guests for food and staff do not prevent this

A perfect getaway in the middle of the city

West Wood Hotel is a real gem given the proximity to all Westlands facilities like malls and restaurants and bordering Karura Forest.

The backyard garden is really great

The backyard garden is a beautiful site. There are monkeys everywhere, elephant bamboo and the review runs through as well. I found it very serene.

Very good

The location was amazing, with the Karura Forest right there, surrounded by nature and a good view of it from the room. The staff were helpful all the time. My stay was very comfortable. I only have one complaint, the Wi-Fi in the room was very poor, signal kept going off.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I never write reviews like this, but I strongly, strongly do not recommend this hotel. As we were departing for our flight, Diana (the food and beverage manager) locked us in the hotel compound, holding us hostage, ordering us to pay a wildly inaccurate bill ($325 more than we owed), and refusing to let us speak to Gerusha (the hotel manager). When I finally spoke with Gerusha, days later, instead of apologizing, she treated it as a negotiation to see how much extra money she could get out of us. I then reached out to several people in their hotel group, Superior Hotels, and, it turns out nobody is in charge. Their Operations Manager, Winnie, is out of the country and the Superior Hotels group claims they have no way to reach her. If anything goes wrong with your stay here, know that the managers are unscrupulous and that there is no recourse.

Home Away from Home

The staff were amazing and sweet, liked that they brought me a hot water bottle when I was cold. They also constantly checked if i was okay.

The hotel can't be found on uber or google maps, that should be fixed to make it easier to get there
