Our group included 3 teenage girls and their parents. The house was great for our group and having the chef option was a bonus. Would have appreciated a walk thru on arrival - that would be our only feedback.
8.0 / 10.0
We loved our stay at Casa 254. The location is peaceful and ideal if you want to have some distance between yourself and the town of La Paz. We enjoyed the pools and had the beach to ourselves a lot of the time.
We would have liked to have an information guide that lists logistics and amenities of the resort. We had to do a lot of reconnaissance to discover that there are two pools on site (one with a bar), a breakfast restaurant and a dinner restaurant, tennis, volleyball, golf and kayak rentals. There is also a little store selling the basics at the condos, which is good to know because you have to take a 10 minute ferry to get to the mainland to stock up. From our casa, you also have to call a shuttle service to take you to and from the house to the ferry. There are free bikes you can borrow to get around too.
Another thing that would have been helpful to know is that each guest needs a QR code to enter and leave the resort. These need to be shown every time you come and go. We had some delays getting into Mexico so we arrived late the first day and missed the last ferry. We had to drive out to the peninsula (which we don't recommend if you can avoid it - very long, sandy and bumpy). However, under normal circumstances it's easy enough to find street parking in La Paz and take the ferry.
The house itself was great - large kitchen and lovely outdoor places to hang out. The concierge Ruben was usually very responsive. The ADA had no hot water. Overall would recommend!

The house was very nice and clean. Maybe a walk through on arrival would be nice and we had groceries delivered, which was very nice, but a little bit expensive in my opinion. Would have liked to have had a copy of the receipt from the store.

Fantastic spot for our family of 10. Bunk room was fantastic for added beds.

What a great property and location! The home is well furnished and equipped with all you need. the bed rooms are very nice, the kitchen is nice, and we really enjoyed our stay here. Ruben, the concierge is an amazing person and responded quickly to all of our questions! Big props to Ruben, he can arrange anything you need/want. We did the whale shark snorkel - courtesy of On Board Baja - amazing! Fishing with Rigoberto, was great. Defiantly rent a golf cart for your personal transportation around the property! Also, highly recommend you have Ruben stock your villa with groceries - that is the only negative - trying to get groceries in town and then back to the villa. Survivors restaurant at the condos did a great job cooking up our fresh caught fish! The restaurant at the golf course was so-so. Didn't get to golf on this trip - but the course looked great.

Very comfortable and amenities in spite of 100 degree temps in Baja during our stay

This is a huge place and nicely decorated. The two primary suites and casita made it perfect for us. We arranged to have groceries delivered for our arrival and to have meals cooked by a chef. The food was great and using WhatsApp was a great way to communicate. I’d recommend it to others.

Property was as advertised. Ruben was a great host. We can't wait to come back!
8.0 / 10.0
The property was exactly as pictured.
Positives:
Safe area, walking distance to shops/restaurants on the Malecon, very quiet, extremely immaculate, spacious, full size washer/dryer, A/C in all rooms
Could be Seen as a Negative:
You have to call the property transportation van to pick you up to take you to the dock to ride the ferry which leaves every 30 min. (15 min. past the hour and 45 min. before the next hour). You just have to plan your excursions knowing that the first ferry doesn't leave the property until 7:15 a.m. in the morning, and the last ferry leaves the marina at 10:30 p.m.
You also have to take the property van to get to the condos on the property. That's where the heated pool is for the community, the golf course, and the two restaurants. The condos are about a mile away from the homes (casas) on the property. Families with small children would most likely prefer to stay at the condos, because of the close proximity to the pool and the restaurants. We enjoyed the quiet area where the homes are and the spacious floor plan of this property. You can ride the bikes on the property or rent a golf cart, but we only saw bikes near the condos.
The living room couch was very worn and the two damaged wicker chairs need to be replaced.
Beds/AC/Bathrooms:
This property sleeps 12, but 10 comfortably. It has 2 master bedrooms each with a king bed and full sized bathroom, a 3rd bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 beds total) with a full size bathroom next to the 3rd bedroom. It also has a small casita in the front courtyard of the property, with a queen size bed and a bathroom w/shower. The casita is accessible from a sliding glass door in the courtyard of the property, but it's not located within the main home. We didn't use the casita. A small portable A/C system is located in each of the bedrooms, and a main A/C system cools the living room and the kitchen. The weather ranged in the high 80s when we were there, so we definitely needed to use the AC throughout the house. The couch is a pullout sofa bed for 2 small children, but wouldn't be comfortable for 2 adults.
The backyard is mostly sand with a volleyball net, some older furniture, and it overlooks the backyards of other homes. The bay/ocean view is behind the homes directly across the street from the property. The bay appeared to be non-swimmable.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Ruben, the property manager, was quick to respond via text.

Enjoyed our stay, management very attentive to any issues. Had the meal service first night and following mourning, highly recommend. Good golf course but bring your own clubs. Everyone we met were some of the friendliest we have ever encountered, workers and guest.

We really enjoyed our stay, the unit is showing a little wear and tear from the last time we stayed there. ie, the fire pit didn’t work, overhead beams on patio are rotting, master shower had barely any hot water, gas range didn’t heat properly. Overall it was a nice experience.

Absolutely beautiful place and well equipped.
Concierge was very attentive via text, although we never saw him. We did take advantage of the chef option and highly recommend it.
Transportation was not an issue on the peninsula or getting to it. They even have bicycles for free use.
Golf course was top notch and the food was good at the club house. We did not eat at the condos but heard it was good too. We did go to the hot tub at the condos. It was hot but the jets were broken.
Overall, very happy and would do it again!

The casa was beautiful and more than spacious enough for 2 families. Our older kids shared the bunkroom and babies slept in a pack and play in each master suite- each of which have such huge bathrooms and closets that we could easily make an extra "room" for babies. Reuben was extremely helpful, arranged a flawless airport pick up for us, and met us at the ferry dock the night we arrived and showed us the property. The ladies who cooked for us (Hannia and Haydee) made delicious food and made this a truly stress-free vacation. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a low-key beach/pool vacation with the opportunity to go into La Paz for a dose of Baja culture. We will be back!

The communication with Ruben was great. He is super attentive. From the airport pick up, check-in, welcome dinner, check-out to airport transportation, everything went smoothly. The villa is spacious and spotless. It was more than big enough for 8 adults plus one kid. The beds are comfy. The decorations are classical with authentic Mexican rustic flavor. I love it all. We took advantage of the Chef service; the food are delicious and out of the world. We can not wait to come back again. THANK YOU Ruben to make all these happen!

Everything from top to bottom was amazing at this property. We definitely recommend this property and area. We had Rueben set up a round of golf, and swimming with the whale sharks. It was easy to communicate and get questions answered. We have traveled throughout Mexico and Paraiso Del Mar was top notch. It’s a hidden gem! We plan on returning again in the future. Thanks for an amazing stay for an amazing vacation!

Such a wonderful spot
We had a crew of 10 friends from all over the U.S. gather here. Aside from a miscommunication with airport pick up, everything was so smooth. Rubén was excellent and very responsive. Haydee and her co-worker made us the most delicious home cooked meal- highly suggest taking advantage of this option. We also had our groceries delivered ahead of time which was so convenient given the amount of food/drinks for 10 people and the boat ride necessary to get to the resort. It was spotless, beautiful, and very peaceful. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful house in beautiful community
We loved staying in El Mogote and Ruben helped us have an amazing stay— swimming with whale sharks, private boat charter to snorkel with sea lions and lunch on an amazing beach, massages, delicious meals. We wish we could live in Paraíso Del Mar full time.

Wonderful
There were seven of us in this lovely house just steps from a beautiful beach that was great for swimming or just being. Anything we wanted was quickly provided by the property manager who was very responsive. No need for a car, bikes and the resort van were at our disposal, as were kayaks and paddle boards. Taking the ferry requires some planning, but as long as you think ahead it won’t be a problem. No complaints whatsoever!

Excellent
Very nice and secluded location. House is spacious and has countless amenities. Just a short 3 min property shuttle van ride are kayaks and paddle boards included. The only downside was that the water taxi left every hour, so if you barely missed it, you were stuck for another hour with a very hungry family as there are no restaurants on the island. With proper planning, we were able to avoid that by the second day. Otherwise, most excellent stay! Thank you Humberto, and all of the drivers!

Beautiful!
Our family of four (two adults and two kids, ages 10 and 14) had a great time here and more than enough room. The beach is beautiful and we had it all to ourselves one day. Highly recommend using the property manager’s grocery service to stock the house, as it isn’t easy to shop yourself and bring the groceries on the ferry. We loved riding the bikes and taking the ferry over to La Paz was a beautiful and easy/quick ride each day.

Perfect house for a large group
This is a gorgeous house in a perfect location for a group of up to 10 people. The house is very nicely decorated and has very access to the beach and the pool. There is everything needed for a great stay and the concierge service is very attentive. If anything, I would suggest to provide information on how to get supplies of drinking water.
The resort is stunning and the organization excellent. We loved the access to the bikes that allowed us to explore the area more. We will be back!

Loved this home!
Most definitely would stay here again. It is a beautiful home. Comfortable for all 12. Beautiful furnishings, elegant touches, two king suites, bunk bed room for the kids,
For sure will come again. Our grandchildren loved the room (it’s a large home).
Make sure, though, to bring your own TP, paper towels, bathroom soap, and dish/laundry detergent. Minimal amounts available. And no hot tub, as advertised.
Nevertheless, we would return again.

Everything we wanted
We moved from one of the beachfront villas to this one as was planned. When I booked I knew the beachfront was rented but they arranged to have all of our belongings moved and made the change super easy. Although there were not supplies in the villa that I had expected, there were very quick to get them to us (beach towels, iron, shampoo) once we let them know. Martha, the "housekeeper" is amazing and helped us so much over our 9 day stay that I now plan to return in October. The rental contracts, everything, was super great!!!
10.0 / 10.0
The house and property was wonderful and gave our large extended family lots of space.
We were greated by a wonderful Mexican meal made by our housekeeper Martha. I highly recommend doing this if you stay. It is a little time consuming to go back and forth with the water taxi and van shuttle but very easy to do. We did like the security and safe feeling it gave us with the separation from the city. We all LOVED the bikes and rode them a lot. Pools were nice too along with furniture and hammock in back. The only improvement I would ask for is to have enough paper goods (towels/TP) in reserve. We had to ask multiple times for more, which was supplied but would be nice if we didn’t have to ask. And filtered water for the water cooler. Tried to use the fire pit on back patio which may need some Maintainace, which didn’t work. Overall the house was wonderful and we would stay on the El Mogote/property again. Thank you Martha for making our stay amazing!!!

Better than Beach Front!
This villa worried me b/c it wasn't on the beach and after the trouble of getting to PDM, I thought beachfront was mandatory. I rented this Villa from Humberto and one across the street (279) that was on the water. This villa 254 is 5 star, exquisite throughout. Very authentic and original in every detail. The kitchen opening up to the beautiful dining table offers great space for groups who socialize.
PDM is a resort quite disconnected from the mainland. It is quite difficult to figure out the lay of the land there. Humberto, however, gave me vital information that helped me best prepare for my large group. Check the ferry schedules. Check the bar/restaurant schedule. It being summer, a lot changed almost daily. It was hard to get to the mainland as the ferry only ran on the hour and every ride was close to being full even though it was "off-season." Though operations seemed a bit unorganized, we found the staff to be AMAZING! This villa, I wish I'd used it as our central place for meals, coffee, etc. It has so many details in the design, it is exceptional. The A/C was cold and the staff were warm. Humberto has another property on the beach nearby and it too looks 5-star. Beachfront here doesn't matter in my opinion because a dune blocks the view for the most part. I was there for 5 days and actually never put my feet in the sand. The pool bar was too much fun (when open).

Paradise found....
This was my second trip to La Paz and first to Paraiso Del Mar....The accomodations were by far the best I've EVER stayed at. This home is huge and everything about the interior is TOP OF THE LINE....Grilling our fresh caught fish on the outside bar-b-que was a definate high point. Ana was so accomodating and took care of us from the moment we got to the dock till our final day. The staff at the condos were very nice and getting back and forth to the dock from the house was a just a phone call away. And a final big thank you to the owner, Christyne, who took care of EVERYTHING for us and was a pleasure to deal with. It's not a matter of IF I'll be back to this exquisite home, it's just a matter of WHEN....Thanks again Christyne....

"Winter Traveling Buddies"
We wanted to thanx the Watson's for sharing their beautiful La Paz home with us for ten days! The days flew by and we found ourselves wishing we could have made the trip longer! What a find with two master bedroom suites, two sets of bunk beds and even the casita! The ferry ride and shuttle rides were part of the experience and they were all so helpful and nice! Could not find one bad thing to say about our trip! The volleyball net, swim up pool and the kyaks....just perfect!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving week we had! The
weather was great but the house was outstanding!
It housed our two families with kids beautifully.
Ample space to accommodate everyone. The decor
is unbelievable. Comfortable beds, flat screen tv
(with a wii) and the kitchen is huge! I love the fact
that you are literally steps away from both the pool
and beach. We loved kayaking and searching for
shells on this unspoiled stretch of paradise! Thank
you for opening your home to us! We'll definitely
be back! :0)

The house was exquisitely furnished and exceptionally comfortable. We alternated between the pool and deserted long white sandy beach. When we wanted to leave the casa we called and were picked up and taken to the free ferry which took us to La Paz in less than 10 minutes. What a beautiful place. We will be back
