★Welcome to the OSPREY NEST SUITE★
Ideally located just off Historic 6A (The Old King's Highway) in a picturesque section of Barnstable, this light and bright studio suite, with separate entrance & deck, is the perfect spot to enjoy your relaxing Cape Cod getaway. Located just a mile outside of charming Barnstable Village, and a stroll away from both a small quiet bayside beach and the fabulous trails of the MA Audubon's Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, it is also within a quick 10 minute drive to one of the most happening towns on the Cape, Hyannis.
This newly updated suite is very private; located above our home. There are outdoor steps leading to its own separate entrance and little deck. It is well appointed with a small nicely equipped kitchen (Mini fridge, Elect. Cooktop, Microwave, Toaster Oven, Coffee Maker, etc.), great built-in table with banquette seating, comfy queen size bed with a wonderful reclaimed wood bedframe made by a New England craftsman, twin size sleeper sofa, wall mounted TV, and two closets with plenty of storage. The nicely sized full bath has a walk-in shower, along with a washer & dryer. A Mini Split AC/Heat System keeps the suite cool when needed in the Summer and warm and cozy in the Winter.
With loads of windows, and a fabulous bird's-eye view above the secluded backyard, the Osprey Nest is sure to become your favorite Cape Cod escape!

Absolutely LOVED our little getaway here. Carol thought of literally every single detail imaginable…down to supplies you didn’t know you needed like tape and scissors. Being able to come to the cape and not have to rent or buy beach chairs and an umbrella was such plus. Beach towels and a cooler as well made it even better. Private driveway was lovely. The stars seen from the porch were beautiful. Laundry machines were great.
It was in such a great location, close to multiple beaches and Hyannis Main Street.
A very honorable mention to the standing fan…I can’t sleep without a fan and let me tell you-what a life saver!!
Would 10/10 recommend staying here. I would stay again. Thank you so much!

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Osprey Nest. Our hosts Carol and Gene were amazing. Communication was very quick and clear. The studio apartment was very clean and comfortable and offered many amenities including washer and dryer. The property was centrally located and it was very easy to navigate all over Cape Cod. The deck and yard were private and quiet. We would definitely return to the Cape and to this VRBO property. If I could give this review 10 stars, I would.

My husband and I had the perfect getaway-the Osprey Nest Suite was wonderful. Cozy, relaxing, full of charm and just as lovely as pictured. Any amenity you could think of was available. Carol and Gene were great hosts; they communicated with us promptly and made our very first Vrbo experience a splendid one! We are already checking our calendars for our next stay!

The hosts had anything and everything you could think of needing. Being a far away traveler means needing a lot of things you don’t think about. They were very attentive and timely to my messages. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. This was the coziest place I’ve ever stayed at. I typically don’t sleep well on the road, and I slept great here. This was a great central location to all of the places we wanted to visit. We also booked a fishing trip that left out of Millway beach (it was very close by). Highly recommend the buttercup for breakfast! I was in town for business the first half of the trip and my husband came the second half. He was just as pleased as I was. Thank you for a great stay.

The suite (or The Nest as I called it) was so perfect. Owners thought of everything. The place was exceptionally cleaned and well stocked. Location was convenient to everything for us and communication was superb. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you for letting us stay.

A great layout. CLEAN and well appointed. Private & quiet. The back yard was a lovely place to sit and enjoy. Right off of route 6A so easy access. Carol was a wealth of information and was a pleasure to communicate with before and during our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The Osprey Nest is situated in a quiet road. Amenities such as restaurants and supermarkets are only a short drive away. The property itself is well equipped and had literally everything we needed from washing up liquid to beach chairs. The owners responded to emails instantly. A fabulous property which we definitely return to on our next visit to Cape Cod.

This property is just as described. Actually better than described. It is fully supplied with everything and in working order. The Nest is very private. Very quiet neighborhood walking distance to downtown Barnstable, whale watching and the beach (20 minutes or so). Hosts are on property and very helpful.

The suite was incredibly clean and located in a perfect spot for us as we were traveling to get Scuba certified. Carol’s communication was excellent and so accommodating. We will definitely be making recommendations to stay here to any friends traveling to the Cape!

Immaculate, cozy suite centrally located; Barnstable Village was within walking distance, as was the Audubon sanctuary. Close to several eateries. The Osprey Nest suite contained all possible amenities including great Wifi connection & TV programming. Plenty of privacy & the owners were very welcoming.

The studio apartment was cute, clean, and well-designed. My wife and I really had a relaxing time, the location is great! We were close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach.

My husband and I stayed at this property for our wedding weekend in late September, and it was everything advertised and then some. Very clean, beautiful property/location, and had all the amenities you could need. As my partner put it, "whenever I needed something and looked for it, there it was." Consistent communication with hosts too. Highly recommend, great in general and especially for couples looking for a get-a-way.

Not even close! If I could rate this rental 10 stars I would. It was the perfect location to explore the Cape. Very clean, organized, and easy to get to right off the main Hwy. It is centrally located in the historic part of Barnstable and offers beautiful drives and stunning views. The owner, Carol, is very attentive to your needs and ensures that your stay is perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better location to spend a week enjoying Cape Cod. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Must be able to go up a set of outdoor stairs to access.

Perfect perfect perfect
Everything about our stay was perfect! From the checking in process to checking out, all was easily explained and easy to do. Everything we could have needed was there waiting for us, and the location was essentially in the middle of everything so traveling anywhere was easy! The space is quaint and cozy while also romantic! We will definitely plan to stay here again!

Weekend at The Osrey’s Nest
Our trip to the Osprey’s Nest was excellent. Our hosts made everything super easy and the room was fantastic. It was like being at home while we were away for the weekend. Highly recommended for any one looking to stay in Cape Cod.

Perfect in so many ways
The only shortfall was that it wasn't on the water... But everything else was perfect. The owner was great. She even offered to send back a bracelet that I left behind. The location was great. The town of Barnstable was very quaint with great restaurants and market. We spent a day on the bay beach 20 minutes away and then took ferry to Martha's vineyard which was only 10 minutes way. Even though the place was above the owners home, it felt very secluded. The attention to detail was amazing and we really loved our stay!

Perfectly equipped space!
We had a great time at the Osprey Nest! Carol and Gene anticipated every need we might possibly have, from umbrellas to laundry detergent and everything in between. The space was cozy and comfortable. We loved the eating nook booth and the balcony, and the yard with its relaxing gardens and lights guiding us over the path at night felt kind of magical, especially when we had a rainy night. We appreciated the recommendation for the Barnstable Market - Best sandwiches and hot food to go as well. We would definitely stay again!
