Absolutely fantastic, definitely a place we would return if staying in the area again.

The lodge is in a stunning location with great access to the surrounding area. Louise and Steve were lovely and friendly and the apartment itself was wonderful. Wells, Glastonbury, Brean, Weston are all very accessible from Wookey and Wells centre can be walked in 30 minutes. In addition to all the great places to visit this means that whether you want to eat out or get food in you have loads of options on your doorstep. Unlike a hotel once you've been out and about for the day it was like coming back and having all the luxuries of home. Loved every minute.

Lovely Place

Lovely well equipped place. Had a great time there.

Bit noisy at times from traffic but minor detail.

A breath of fresh air; tranquil and relaxing. Highly recommend.

Lovely, comfortable and spacious. I spent a week there and will definitely be back, was perfect, everything I needed.

That I can’t live there permanently!

A cosy self contained home from home.

A real home from home. Very comfortable property and a great base to explore Wookey, Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury and the surrounding areas. The property is spacious, very clean and well kept with all the amenities for a comfortable break. Was really nice to have a separate lounge area for relaxing after a long day out exploring.

We would stay here again

Self-catering unit was extremely warm. Comfortable bed (2 singles together). Hot shower on demand with shampoo/gel included. Across the road from a traditional pub (Cheddar "Gorge Best" and Hopback "Summer Lightning" for the ale lovers). Flour available to buy.

No real issues. A thick curtain across the front door would be ideal. Some traffic noise but this largely ceases overnight. Freezer compartment of fridge was small but fine for a few nights. Bedroom is a bit of a tight space (we put our bags/suitcases upstairs).

Small but perfectly formed with all that is needed for two people.

Self catering property in excellent location for local sites. Only 2 miles from Wells with Glastonbury, Bath within easy reach. Number of National Trust properties (of interest to us) within the area. Three pubs within walking distance. Well equipped kitchen, very large comfortable bed and lounge area upstairs with 3 seater sofa and single chair, coffee table and large flat screen |TV

Great stay

Very comfortable stay in a great location. Owners on site were very welcoming and helpful with local restaurant information. The ability to buy fresh baked bread on site was an added bonus. Would be back!

Very pleasant- I used to live in the area, and it was ideal for seeing friends

Spacious, good bathroom, comfortable bed, good position for town and visiting friends.

Dark - the lights need improvement. No welcoming details- tea bags, milk in the fridge, that sort of thing. I have five holiday lets myself and one city studio flat - we would never leave a property unprovided with a cloth to wipe up, kitchen roll, and those little extras that can be so important after a long drive or flight. No one wants to bring their own salt and pepper …

A very comfortable and well equipped property convenient to Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar.

Well equipped and very comfortable. WiFi was excellent as there is no mobile signal in the area. Smart TV a bonus. Kitchen fully equipped. Nice bathroom, shower and bath. Plenty of hot water.

Spasious aparment

The apartment was clean and tidy, very spacious and warm. Big sofa and tv in living room. Superking size bed and all necessary kitchenware. The owner was very friendly to us.

Was excellent in every way for us, we will be back and highly recommend.

Location was a great spot to explore Somerset and the property was perfect in every sense for us. Was met by hosts to be given the keys on arrival and were so friendly and helpful. Wish we could of stayed longer, we will be back.

Mill lodge

Easy to find with off road parking. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, well equipped and a high standard. Located within walking distance to local pubs and a 10 minute drive into Wells. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

A nicely appointed character appartment in a good location.

Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and plenty of space. Very interesting property with character, located in a working watermill where they mill flour and bake fresh bread - if you are in when they are milling you'll know! Good location for exploring Wells, which is in walking distance or Glastonbury, and the Somerset coast a short drive away. Convenient pub directly across the road too.

The property is adjacent to the B3139 so there is occasionally some traffic noise but I didn't find this irksome and it's quiet at night.

Nice friendly owners. Nice place nice and warm and lovery area . Close to other towns will be going again

Only thing which was a little disappointing is that the living room is upstairs and bedroom down stairs but was still a lovely place

Great little bolt hole .

Very nicely furnished with everything you need for a self catering stay with plenty of room.The bed was great, nice and comfy. Bathroom had a bath and shower which was quite powerful with constant hot water.

The only downside was the road noise which is completely out of their control. The tractors were the worse but then you are Surrey farm land. I wear earplugs anyway it wasn't too bad for me so take some and you'll be fine.

Lovely spacious accommodation

Spacious and well equipped in a brilliant location. We were able to visit Wells, Bath, Glastonbury and Cheddar very easily. Excellent shower and huge, comfortable bed. Very quirky accommodation with lots of room to move around. Lovely large lounge upstairs.

We were aware it is a working mill but did not realise the accommodation was actually part of the mill. Late afternoon when the mill was in use the upstairs lounge, sofas and floor vibrated and the noise permeated the whole room. Although this only occurred for an hour or so for a couple of days during our stay it was not very comfortable while it lasted

A perfect bank holiday weekend location!

The apartment was excellent, a great location, lots of home comforts. Really couldn't fault it. The owners were really helpful and friendly. Would 100% stay here again. Location wise it was great for us as we could walk into Wells (about 40 mins) and there were 3 pubs in walking distance to choose from in the evening. We had dinner at the Burcott Inn opposite and highly recommend booking a table there. Thanks so much :)

Because they still do some milling you could smell the miĺl from the sitting room, which is above the mill room, at times
