The views were heavenly

I absolutely loved our stay. We booked at the last minute and didn't know much about this hotel. We were completely blown away by the stunning views. The food at the restaurant was incredible. And the owner is very warm and welcoming.

I liked everything.

Good place to stay, but do not count on them

The hotel is really nice, breakfast is delicious. The view is breathtaking.

The communication is a disaster. They took days to answer a simples e-mail and in my last day I was more than one hour calling to the hotel for them to send the shuttle to pick me up.

Superb

The view and facilities at Da Gelsomina were fantastic and you can tell the staff care about the place. It was a little cold for the pool but I can imagine this being a great addition to anyone's stay in the warmer months. The restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast had a good selection. The town is a 20/25min walk via a nice track at the back of the property and there is also an amazing lookout 2mins from the property.

The bed was quite firm compared to other beds.

Great place to stay on Capri

Lovely staff, always ready to help and to give advice. The free shuttles to and from Anacapri are such a great service and we loved the food at the Da Gelsomina restaurant. We also appreciated being in a more secluded area and away from the commotion of the main towns.

Very likely a one-off but loud music was playing somewhere in the distance on the night we stayed, which prevented us from sleeping for a bit. Other than this everything was perfect.

We will come back

The location is spectacular with breathtaking views. The restaurant is very good, with many of its ingredients taken directly from the farm on the property. The staff is very friendly, especially the host, who was very helpful during our stay. Both the hotel and the restaurant have shuttle service to and from Anacapri, as it is a little isolated.

We were very happy with our stay.

The restaurant has fantastic panoramic views - as does the pool area. The lunch buffet by the pool was delicious (those meatballs!!) The view from our room/balcony was amazing. The manager handled an issue with our booking professionally and without further complication.

The bathroom facilities are dated, as is the room decor. We had to stay in one of their sister hotels in Anacapri which was a lower rated 3-star hotel, yet the room amenities and decor were superior to the 4-star rated Da Gelsomina.

amazing, magical place!

it is a magical place! you must visit da Gelsomina restaurant even if you don’t stay there for a night. The staff is amazing, wonderful food, great atmosphere. they have their own garden and you try tomataoes, figs, everything very fresh and tasty!

Relaxing stay in Anacapri

The property is truly beautiful and is located in a wonderful area immersed in nature. The shuttle service to the town center is an added bonus and really convenient. the restaurant is excellent and the staff really nice !

I cannot get any better than this for anybody spending the night in Capri Island. The hotel was just a dream, and the staff was the most welcomming ever. You have access to an amazing pool, and a chance to have dinner in a perfect restaurant. The fact that this is still a family business being run by new generations speaks about the heart and welcoming spirit one can expect, aside from the astonishing views and amazing service. Thank you so much for making our dream of staying in Capri come true :)

Perfect for a peaceful romantic getaway - great food, amazing sea views, and friendly staff.

We loved the location - great starting point for hikes on the west side of the island, and only 15-20 minutes walk from Anacapri. If you don't want to walk, they provide a shuttle service to and from Anacapri at any time. The rooms and the restaurant all have amazing sea views towards Ischia, so every evening you can enjoy a wonderful sunset. The staff are super friendly, the food is local, delicious, prepared from local (home grown) ingredients. We loved it, absolutely recommend it, and will return to stay there next time we are on Capri.

Amazing views!

Staff very friendly. The views were beautiful. We only stayed one night, there isn’t anything around the hotel so it is a very relaxed stay with lovely views. We are in the restaurant which the food was beautiful- we just had to ask several times to different members of staff for a glass of wine.

Booking.com informed us the hotel do collection from the port. But when I called to arrange this wasn’t the case, we had to pay €45 for a 10 minute taxi which then dropped us at a location as it couldn’t reach any higher (the hotel then sent a car to collect us) but meant waiting on a little road with our suitcases for 10 minutes.

The room was bright and clean. Bed was comfortable. Pool area was nice with good views.

- Far from everything (beaches, restaurants, bus stop). If you don’t want to depend on hotel’s unreliable shuttle service then you need to hire a scooter. - Breakfast was plain - The biggest minus was the staff who was just rude.

Extraordinary views over the Naples Bay and the Island of Ischia, especially from the pool. Da Gelsomina has a really nice family restaurant that gets really busy at evenings - please try their lasagna :)

Fantastic location

Far away from everything, but still easy to reach. Great location for the sunset, quiet for a good night‘s sleep. Very good food and very friendky staff. We definitely found what we were looking for!

A romantic holiday that was everything we were hoping for - and more!

The hotel is set in the countryside to the west of the island of Capri. It is surrounded by its own vineyard & kitchen garden, growing much of the produce & wine for its superb restaurant. The views, from the room, the pool & the restaurant are exceptionally beautiful, and we watched the sun setting every evening from the restaurant. The staff are really friendly & informative, making suggestions for things to do, places to visit, & how to get there. The town is a pleasant 20 minute stroll, with the hotel supplying a lift back up the hill whenever needed. We can't wait to return!

What's not to love about this very special place? The only thing we can think of is that one week was not really long enough!
