the cost of a Saturday night stay was excessive and the breakdown of the daily costs was not provided by booking.com. I would not have stayed Saturday night had I known how much it was

Fantastic place to stay. Have recommended this property to many friends.

Did not have a meal there but breakfast was super and in general all the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our every needs.

The numbering systems on the elevator were a bit confusing. Either just using a simple 1,2,3 or, better still, indicating the main function on each floor like, reception level, rooms number XXX foe each level might be better.

Fantastic Hotel located in a historical castle, well worth a stay

Fantastic location, comfortable beds and good restaurant

TV had very limited english TV channels and water pressure in the shower was low.

A special location with unique character.

The special location, a very well maintained hotel. Staff is friendly and efficient. The views are breathtaking, and a walk around the property is a must. Short drive to the town, were more bars and restaurants are available.

The carpets in the corridors need replacement.

I’d totally recommend this stat for exploring the surrounding and experience to stay overnight in a real castle

A different experience

It is a Lovely Castle , 2 hours away from Barcelona. The rooms are clean and the view from the castle is superb. Try room number 712 - I've heard some interesting spooky stories about this one.

The walk from the Cardona town to the Castle can be tiring (best to have a car or book a taxi) , especially if you are walking around with stroller bags. The food can be expensive, but there are many cheap options in the town square. There is nothing much to do in Cardona except for the castle and visiting the salt mine.

Exquisite location, unique accommodation, incredible views from the bedrooms.

Breakfast was lovely but the staff need to provide milk at the coffee area so you don’t have to find them and ask them for it as they are super busy.

The rooms need a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. Some guests get up early and like a coffee or tea before the breakfast area opens. Or maybe a coffee and tea making area in each floor. Thanks.

Amazing building and history. Nice meals.

Bedroom was a bit pokey and located along a smelly hallway.

Really enjoyed the stay, Cardona is a delightful town with interesting salt mine and good restraunts

Breakfast was 20 euro per person extra, not good value

A special place to be transported in medieval times, with the conforts of the XXI century.

It is an ancient castle, so furniture and decoration are acordingly. The room was espacious, very clean. Bathroom very big and modern. We enjoyed the magic of beeing in a very special place

Few parking lot space. We had to park a bit further away, which is not that much except for the fact that we were with our parents who are 80 years old, and had difficulties to arrive

Nice ambiance. Castle is very nice and restaurant is quite nice.

Poor standards for a Parador.

The fact that it is a historical building

The carpets were disgustingly filthy. The restaurant was poor value for money and also short staffed. Had to wait almost 45 mins to get served, then they forgot our wine.
