Quiet and relaxing spot, you can feel like you are almost alone.

We deliberately do not have a TV or Wifi, this allows you to really escape the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our family fitted nicely into this one-bedroom, spacious lounge upstairs with bathroom and the ensuite and 1 bedroom below in the garage plus a sleep out across the yard. I always pack the kitchen sink whenever our family travels, a pleasant surprise. The Bach was well stocked with anything you would need on holiday, a home away from home. AAA rating we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a big thanks also for the gift inside the fridge on our arrival :).

This property was very clean and tidy. We love the small but great lay out of this house. Worked well for our adult children, they had their own space. Amazing outdoor area!! Great spot. We had an amazing weekend!! Thank you!!

This is our second time staying at this property and we once again loved it. We love Ocean Beach at Whangarei heads and this bach puts you close to the beach. It is only a few minutes walk along a private right away to have you on the beach. This bach comes very well equipped compared to others we have stayed in with a great selection of cookware in the kitchen but there are also games, books, sun lounges, outdoor fire and pizza oven and so much more. This was a great place for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary alone but then had our 3 adult kids join us along with two grandchildren 3 and under ( there are games, books and toys for kids). We thoroughly recommend this property but do read the description carefully as the layout is something to be aware of. In the upper level is the kitchen and living areas with a side master bedroom area ( not enclosed) which now has a bathroom and toilet ensuite. There are twp pull out bed sofas in the living area. Downstairs which can only be accessed by an external staircase is another bedroom with a queen bed a full bathroom and the garage/rumpus room. There is also another separate sleep out with a double single bunk. We will be back again.

We loved this bach - modern, clean, well stocked - we felt very at home. Glad to get some sunshine so we could enjoy the awesome big deck, and enjoyed using the fireplace one night and toasting marshmallows! Easy beach access through the back of the property too. Thanks for having us.

Such a great spot with the beach in walking distance. We had two little kiddos with us as well and there were tons of toys and games to play with, and a bunk bed. Great outside area and everything felt comfortable and easy. Would highly recommend this stay and would definitely come back. Thanks!

This is as the ad says - a close walk to a stunning surf beach with white sand. The bach is well set up - comfortable, pantry staples, beach gear - and we were welcome with our dogs. Great host!

Such a lovely, extremely accommodating host! Very clean house and sleepout and a great place to hang out with friends and family. Plus, a really quick walk to an incredible beach. And loads of games if it's not a beach day!

Good, prompt communications with kind and generous owner. Beautiful setting, close to beach, just as pictured, we enjoyed our brief stay very much. Sadly, we had to cut our stay short, due to an impending major weather event (Cyclone Gabrielle) so we could journey home safely. Perhaps one day, we'll be fortunate enough to visit again.

Property was perfect for a relaxed weekend away with mates. Was clean, tidy and as advertised with the exception of one bathroom that had a shower under renovation which we didn't know about. Did not effect our enjoyment of our stay though! Cheers Mason

The bach is a short walk from a superb ocean beach. It did rain solidly for 2 days, where it would have been nice to have an indoor table to sit at. Overall we enjoyed our stay, thanks Mason

A really lovely bach. Room for all six of us and close to the beach. The cyclone coming through sure made it an interesting stay! Host was very communicative and helpful and is making constant improvements.

The place is great, we've cooked some wood fired pizza and enjoyed the outdoors by the fireplace. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend it and hope to be back soon!

Really enjoyed being able to just wander down to the beach, to hang out with the kids, the dog, toast marshmallows in the fire and have hiking and surfing on the door step - a really comfortable stay, would definitely go again! Had everything we needed....thank you!

we really enjoyed it. wish there was wifi but was good to be completely cut from most of the world for a couple nights. Wish had more time to visit the beach. definitely in the plans for future though :)

Absolutely Stunning

This place was amazing, it's a 5-minute walk to a beautiful beach. The pizza oven and outdoor open fire are fabulous to relax by at the end of exploring the area for the day. The rooms/beds are comfortable and the place is super warm. There were plenty of toys for our 3-year-old to play with, and games and puzzles for the adults. We didn't want to leave and would love to return again.

Has been a very rewarding few days with alot of trekking and swimming, fishing. We thoroughly enjoyed the location. A bit sad the weather was damp but all in all very nice.

Such an enjoyable stay at a truly beautiful location. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the outdoor area was a perfect size for us all to hang out in and the beach was a five minute walk down the hill. We made good use of the fire and the pizza oven and the toys for the kids.

Perfect Location for a Beach Holiday

Perfect Location for a Beach Holiday

It’s easy walking distance to the beach, which is exactly what we wanted. The property is easy to find, parking is onsite & check-in process is easy. It’s a very sheltered property which we appreciated during the cyclonic wind that happened during our stay. It also seems extremely private despite the fact that neighbours are actually quite close. The spaces created within the main house both upstairs & downstairs function well. Upstairs has a great layout, with relaxing outlook & catches beautiful breezes. The kitchen is well equipped & well laid out. Having a gas cooktop is always great & was especially useful during the power cut caused by the cyclone. The weather was mostly rainy, hot & humid so we didn’t use the outdoor fire or the pizza oven. We also didn’t use the garden studio space. External only access to the downstairs bathroom is a hassle. Especially during bad weather. The spaces downstairs were quite damp until after the cyclonic winds which dried it out well lol. The weather for our last day was beautifully sunny & dry, with low humidity, so we did get to experience the place at it's best before we left.

This smallish bach is located back from the beach which is accessed via private accessways. It has all the basics but also has kayaks, boogie boards and other things to help you enjoy the area. As a bonus it is well equipped with games and even some toys for infants. The only surprise we had is the bedroom upstairs is only divided off from the living area by a screen. Do note the only bathroom is downstairs and their is no internal access. We love Ocean beach at Whangarei heads and this is the third bach we have booked in this area. It is the closest we have been to the beach (3 min walk) and we would definitely rebook for future visits.

This spot is quiet with great access to the beach. A short drive gets you to beaches witha little less surf and the house is perfectly set up for summer. Will definitely be back!
