Très loin des standards d'un hotel haut de gamme... décevant

Emplacement, petit déjeuner, très grande chambre

Ascenseur en panne pendant 3 jours. Travaux de rénovation très bruyants pour lesquels nous n'avions pas été prévenu. Climatisation très bruyante dans la chambre. Il était indiqué qu'il y avait un sauna, alors qu'il n'y en avait pas. Un personnel qui n'est pas du tout attentionné. Très loin de ce qu'on peut attendre d'un hotel de cette gamme.

Wonderful staff and love the overall feel of the hotel. Have really done a wonderful job organizing the hotel and making sure it is quiet in the rooms. I love the old style look with modern amenities (such as elevators) for all the luggage transport. Breakfast was very nice as well.

There is a flashing green and red light in the rooms right above the bed (both mine and a traveling mate's). As someone who cannot wear a mask at night that was super frustrating! If it was further over, such as by the TV, that would make it much easier to sleep.

A buzzing hotel, helpful and efficient staff, beautiful decor from another era, but very up to date. We loved it!

Exceptionnel

Chambre spacieuse, Hôtel richement décoré. Proche de tous les lieux à visiter. Salle de petit déjeuner magnifique et beaucoup de choix au buffet. Personnel très accueillant. Très bon rapport qualité/prix compte tenu des prestations.

the property is steeped in deep history that has been maintained and updated where necessary. for example the rooms have updated flooring and bathrooms.

disappointing - would not recommend or stay again

Not a lot. The staff were nice.

There is no natural light inside and what looks grand and impressive in photos was dated and dark in person. The colour scheme in my small room was particularly overpowering in clashing bright greens. My window looked directly at a wall.

wow wow wow! room decorations are really good. we stayed at the superior room and it is very spacious. Greeting at the reception is great and very informative. Breakfast ambiance and variety is perfect ! specific thanks to the team at breakfast service. helped us all the way. location is very close to many attractions in Oslo.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful breakfast in great location.

The breakfast was phenomenal. The concierge - who deserves a raise - went above and beyond to help us and is single-handedly elevating the customer service of the hotel. The desserts in the cafe were fantastic. Room and specifically the bed was quite comfortable. There were a few key receptionists that were cheerful, enthusiastic and helpful. With a few tweaks would be a true luxury hotel.

Firstly, it's not actually a 5-Star hotel. There are no real valets nor bell-hops. The receptionists when available do their best to help - but it is incorrectly rated on booking.com as its actually a 4-Star. Parking was overly expensive at $55/day. I slipped and fell from a quite dangerous step in the bathroom on a waxed wooden floor and really hurt myself with extensive bruising and the receptionist at that time that I mentioned it too basically expressed indifference and made no effort of trying to resolve the problem - eg suggesting a mat or alternative solution.

Pure Luxury

The whole hotel is amazing. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast. Can’t wait to come back to Oslo even if it is just for this gem. thank you very much to all the team.
