Nice, quiet, relaxing and comfortable stay.

Location and staff were great, the breakfast was fantastic and so was the evening food in the restaurant.

Areas of the hotel could desperately do with a refurb, this is the only thing that let the hotel down, regardless of this I would still stay there again.

Beautiful and relaxing

It's a beautiful setting. The pool area was clean and tody. The sauna and steam room were perfect. We had an evening meal booked at 7.30 so we didn't want a big meal in the day so they had a cream tea/coffee as the restaurant shut at 3pm. The food was beautiful and the service was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful.

After food you could go and sit in the top bar area and people are having food in there aswell as the restaurant. There's not alot to do in the evenings, we asked if we could put the TV on for some music which the staff was happy to do so for us. Last orders were around 10.30. It would be nice if they had the top area for some quiet music or entertainment for guests who's staying at the hotel.

Really do love coming to Nant Ddu and recommend to friends who wish to stay in area - will be back

Lovely room (suite), very spacious with bonus of mini fridge :D Plenty of choice for breakfast (although some fresh fruit would have been nice), cooked breakfast good quality, tasty and plentiful. Fab swimming pool, lovely and warm. Great choice on menu for evening meal, again, good quality and very tasty.

Large bathroom in room which included bath with shower over, shower constantly dripping even though off. bathroom in need of a touch up - although clean, needed a lick of paint etc. Steam room and hot tub in leisure suite not working during our stay so a little disappointed as having been before it was one of the reasons for booking as a lovely treat to relax after a hard days walking.

very little , in fact I’m going to have to be petty to find something. too hot on breakfast room , open a window . and the shower outside the sauna only did warm water . see ! petty stuff

The building looks like it needs a major overall. There was damp on some of the walls, guttering missing & falling down. Chairs in dining room tatty & uncomfortable. Food ok but not value for money.

we liked the beds they were so comfy and plus the location was good as it was close to Pen Y Fan and the surroundings were scenic

the menu could have had a bit more options but still was nice. we found that even though the staff were nice and friendly we were last to be seen when waiting to be seen. I don’t want it to be in a racism way but just saying it how we felt.

Good breakfast, perfect location. We had a quiet family room and was able to get a good night's sleep.

The hot water ran out quickly every morning for the length of our entire stay. The receptionist said they would get it looked at.

The view was lovely& so we’re the staff. Bed was very comfortable.

We were not told before hand that the pool was shut due to maintenance before hand. Was quite annoyed about this.

The hot tub was not hot but cold. With the price paid was expecting bath robes and slippers provided.

Excellent food and spa facilities,room not the cleanest, staff very polite but slow.

The price of the room was quite steep if I'm honest as it wasn't much bigger than a standard room in a hotel,on the Saturday night the staff were very slow at serving our food and very slow at clearing tables in the breakfast room the next morning

Great location, disappointed by hotel.

Location is very good and food exceeded expectations.

Room was of a poor standard, black mould and tiles coming away in the bathroom, fixturesand fittings rusty, stains on the carpet and the TV only worked occasionally due to poor reception. No housekeeping during stay and was advised of good spa availability, but appon arrival, there was little to none.

The location was ideal. Lovely surroundings

The place is very tired and needs a thorough face-lift. The staff were pleasant but little enthusiasm or friendliness. Food was good but no ambience and again the decor is very dated. Overall its expensive for what you get so poor value for money which is a shame because it has great potential

Stayed here twice before, this will be the last time. Hotel needs some much needed TLC.

Excellent location. Breakfast is great and a good spa, lovely swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Very relaxing after a hike up Pen Y Fan.

The room was very poor quality. Bathroom was the biggest disappointment. Shower was just attached to the bath and didn't reach your head when stood up. Also there was a leak in the shower meaning little cold water came out so had to be careful with hot water or risked been burnt! Bed was very old... Rickety is the best description. Any slight movement woke you up. Also window to the bedroom did not shut properly. Evening meal was a tad disappointing for the money. Monkfish was £24, it came out very dry and little sauce. Very underwhelming.

Excellent value in great location for walking in Brecons

The food in both the bar and restaurant was well presented , great choice , tasty and very personably delivered. The swim pool was excellent a good size to complete lengths and a lane in place for more serious swimming.

Very good

Amazing spa and leisure facilities. We had a wonderful massage and used the pool etc daily. Resteraunt food tasty and varied. Slow service first night but the rest of the time we couldn't fault it. Lovely reception staff who couldn't do enough to help. Dressing gowns and slippers in the room was a lovely touch.

No house keeping done during out stay, would of been nice to have had the bins etc emptied and the tea and coffee and toilet roll topped up. Easily rectified, we asked the lovely ladies at reception and they gave us what we needed, but it would of been nice not to have to do this.
