It did the job as we were there for a wedding. Would we return for a weekend away, probably not

I found the breakfast to be pretty basic and would have expected more help yourself options

the overall place. Our room was pretty small for the price we paid for this.

Lovely location and enjoyable, comfortable stay but room overpriced considering the issues stated a.

Lovely location, great onsite bars and restaurants, very quiet and peaceful.

Hot tub outdoor area backed onto main car park meaning heavy traffic and some noise. Holes in back gate hampered privacy even though fences were high. Could see traffic from top step of outdoor area and when standing up in front of windows. Lack of outdoor lighting health and safety concern.

Didn't meet expectations

Location was great, daughter lives local

It stated no noise after 12am however music from the wedding was still blaring at 12.30am, guests were shouting in the hallway. There was no space for hanging clothes or drawers. I didn't have a chair to sit on. Breakfast on day 1 was extremely disappointing given I've eaten here for dinner several times. It was sadly lacking, day 2 was much better but standards should have been consistent

Gorgeous clean rooms with comfy beds.

Quite nice boutique rooms, but wifi was *awful* . Not what you expect for £140/ night! Check in is before 10pm, and check out by 10.30a , with breakfast being cooked to order rather than a buffet ( tbf, breakfast was lovely and included in the price) but the times were a bit restrictive… 8am earliest !

Overpriced, desperate for a refresh. Lovely Staff

The staff were lovely. Food was nice.

Massively overpriced for the quality of the room, very dated and tired. Dreadful decor, electric fob fell off the wall, curtain tie back hanging out the wall. Bath too shallow to actually bathe in.. rough cut wood everywhere including the bed head.. bed and pillows really uncomfortable. It was clean and the staff were friendly but this was a £75 room not £145!

Amazing say/ experience.

The hotel it’s self is stunning. Rustic barn style. We booked a private dining pod which was amazing and The food was beautiful. All staff we met were friendly.

The only thing that could of been improved was the bed. Very hard/ poor pillows

Not an environment for sleep

The staff were friendly

I feel that a hotelier has some obligation to their guest to at least try to provide an environment where sleep is possible. It stated that the room might be subject to noise but the level of that noise and the way it reverbed through the room was unimaginable. This went on till 12. Then the party goers returned to their rooms, came in and out of each others rooms, standard after party behaviour, till about 2.30. The walls of the rooms are quite thin so you can hear a lot of what is going on. Then next door began to proper row (not the hotels fault of course). At 3 I called reception, concerned for the girl next door and wanting to move. The security man moved me to another room and I had 3 hours sleep before work. My point is this. They have clearly had to contend with a lot of anti social guests. They even charge a deposit for damage, (confirmed by the reception staff when I checked out). They must realise how bad the noise level is in the room I was in. Knowing this you would have thought they would, if available, move a solo guest travelling for work,( I had checked the travelling for work box and also was asked on arrival if I was attending the function), to a room in which they might get some sleep, which clearly they had available as I was moved to it in the night. Or not take bookings for guests not attending functions for the affected rooms. The bottom line, I stayed paid £117 for 3 hours sleep. Consider this before booking this hotel.
