About this hotel

This property is beautifully located in the centre of Trollhättan, by the canal waterfront. Scandic Swania was built in the early 1900s as a city hall. Original ceiling paintings from that time still exist.

Child friendly with perfect location

Convenient and kids friendly.

Noicy outside (but its in the city centre and it was the yearly festival ’Fallens dagar’ during our stay). Hotel very crowded/full.

Very Clean with fantastic location, great food and the friendliest staff.

The staff was great and accommodating, very friendly team during breakfast. Efficient help. My room was located on the south east corner of the building which made it perfect for air circulation. Very clean. Could have had a deeper cleaning when the room was serviced, but not bad.

No air conditioning, no mini bar or small fridge. No parking provided which makes it very expensive for those traveling with car. Very hard to see the code keys for lobby bathroom.

Had a nice stay at the hotel!

Nice location, good breakfast and pool, gym and sauna available. The beds were comfortable and the room nice.

The hotel was quite old, hallways were not inviting.

avoid. a hostel - not 4 star hotel

breakfast was good

dirty outdated room (walls, floors, thick dust all over floor) , tiny single bed with 1inch mattress, thinner than a standard mattress topper than kept sliding off because the bed frame was too small. could not sleep at all. no water, tea, kettle in room or available. no air con - busy main road right across the river - no sleep all night. staff not helpful at all. breakfast had good options. felt like being in a prison cell. avoid this place. not worth half the money they are charging

if this hotel had been half the price of what we paid it would’ve been ok. but still - we slept horribly due to heat, no

great that we could bring our small dog. the staff was friendly. breakfast was okay

really bad indoor climate, insanely hot during nighttime and not possible to open the very small window very much. When window was open the noise from outdoor was so loud even on the 5th floor that we did not sleep at all during the first night. The beds are not very comfortable, and the pillows way too hard and high.
