Outstanding level of service, extraordinary place. Will be back.
Outstanding service, thoughtful, friendly stuff but not overbearing, very balanced as it must be in luxury places. Historic but modern luxury place, very clean, nice smell. Very good breakfast.

The staff was great. Service was excellent. But we didn’t like the hotel itself as much.

A little hard to move around inside the building. Not what I expect from a 5-star. Not much to do inside the hotel either. Not a great view from the room.

Great location, beautiful lobby, friendly stuff, welcomed rooibus tea! Amazing historical rooms, comfy bed, super clean. This place feels like home.

The location is excellent. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Small things are thought of which makes your stay even nicer.
They said they would email the receipt but never did. A bit annoying for a 5 star hotel. I do not have time for such follow-ups.

The location is excellent.
That I didn’t get the suite with the terrace which I booked. I stayed at the Widder many times before. The location and that the suite has a terrace were the main reasons for always staying at the Widder when coming to Zurich.

Bait and switch
We were excited to stay but once we arrived we were shown a room that appeared to be exactly what we expected. Unfortunately the room was mysteriously occupied and we went back to the lobby and we were sent to an old attic room which was shockingly less appointed than the rest of the hotel. It was musty and seemed like housing for non-guests as it was last renovated in the 1990’s.We were greatly disappointed. This was an unfortunate outcome with no consequences
