Beautiful Facade and Lobby, but will probably stay elsewhere on next visit to Budapest!

Lobby and public areas were grand and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Dinner and trio music in the room adjacent to lobby was great. Pool appeared to be nice, but we didn't get to use it.

Room needed some updating! The leak from shower stall was immediately reported and apparently someone did ck it, but the leak next to wall and corner where glass panels meet continued. Floor got very wet with each shower. Front desk clerk somewhat "looked down her nose" at us because we'd booked via 3rd party Booking dot com. She gave us the furthest possible room at end of hall, no view, and in need of repairs or updating. We felt like "2nd class" guests after her checking us in. We didn't get room serviced on first day, though we hung request on door knob. We think maintenance came to check leak and removed the card requesting "service" of room. It was found on floor inside room after our 8pm return, and no fresh towels, etc.

Very comfortable, helpful and courteous.

We really only used our room and the breakfasts during our stay. It was extremely comfortable and the staff we encountered were helpful and courteous. We asked for extra firm pillows and these were delivered promptly and without any fuss. We had no issues at all.

Our visit was pretty straightforward and seamless, so the hotel didn't have to cater particularly for us as we were quite undemanding. We didn't use any special facilities, like the spa, so there was really nothing we could say we didn't like.

First time in Hungary and this place really showed how nice the people are The hotel was spotless and the food and drinks where also amazing When I come back to Hungary this will be the first place I book I won’t even look elsewhere

Excellent séjour

Tout a été parfait pour moi et mes collègues, sauf qu'à la réception, ils m'ont orienté vers boocking pour les factures, allors que j'en ai besoin comme pièces justificatives auprès de mon établissement. Je profite pour vous demander de bien vouloir me transmettre les deux factures, une du 14 au 16 septembre et l'autre du 17 au 18 septembre. Merci beaucoup

+prostory krásné, vše čisté, vstupní hala fantastická +lokalita

- náš pokoj měl okna do átria, kde se celou noc svítilo - v pokoji při zatahování spadly závěsy..:/ trochu zarážející bylo, že personál toto řešil 2h! a bez valného zájmu! to nás docela zklamalo..až před půlnocí dorazil nějaký opravář..

ארוחת בוקר מעולה ומגוונת, חדר אוכל מקסים ונוח, מיקום המלון מאוד מרכזי, תחבורה ציבורית וכן מסעדות, מרכזי בילוי וקניומים במרחק הליכה. מלון יפהפה.

מוצרי הטואלטיקה בחדר האמבטיה בסיסיים למלון ברמה כזו.

Very elegant hotel in a superb location. Needs some upgrading!

The first impression of the facility to include the lobby and the reception areas were great. However, once we were settled, we started noticing how ran down and old certain things were...

We stayed there 3 nights and every day we were asked to update the credit card on file for extra charges, which we never used. Very annoying, because they would take our room access away every time for a room that was paid for weeks in advance.

Room, breakfast and executive lounge were all excellent. We are not really much on spa's. Our room overlooked the dining area and the 4 piece orchestra that played each evening was excellent. We would open our window to hear the music better.

Jacuzzis, steam rooms and spas we have at home. We have tried several thermal baths throughout Europe and I just don't get it. It does nothing for me.

the spa was such a beautiful touch and we were so fortunate to go on our honeymoon! Our room was delightful and they even had a surprise chocolate cake and celebratory bottle for us in honor of our honeymoon!!!

Excellent, comfortable and elegant

The whole hotel was magnificent. The Royal Spa was a great way to relax after a day’s sightseeing. The restaurant and bar all very good. The staff were friendly and efficient. This is the second time we have stayed here. We have now also introduced our friends to this wonderful hotel.

Desayuno estupendo y muy bien atendido. La señorita Zsófia muy agradable, educada, atenta y pendiente de nuestro bienestar. Servicio de bar estupendo y muy amables, tambieé el personal de La Brasseerie especialmente atendiendo el desayuno muy muy muy bien.

La limpieza de la bañera es muy mejorable.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - for real.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Gorgeous exterior and interior, worthy of being the inspiration for the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. The location is perfection. Right in the centre of the city, walking distance to all the major sights/food/nightlife/metro/train stations. Our standard room was more akin to a junior suite, with ample extra space, king bed, sofa, desk and his/hers closets. The bathroom even had a soaker tub, which was great after a long day on castle hill. There's a spa onsite, and if you can't make it to the baths, I would recommend their spa packages as the convenience and price is spot on. The onsite bar had live Hungarian music in the evenings which was also a pleasure to enjoy. Top notch across the board. Stay here; you won't be disappointed.

Номера обветшалые. Временами требуют ремонта. Обещанный в спецпредложении по E-mail «хороший завтрак» за 22€ при обычной цене 36€ на поверку оказался «обычным», ничего особенного в нем нет. Более того, при оплате оказалось, что моя карта исключительно этим отелем не принимается (во всем городе да, здесь нет), и нужно заплатить наличными не 22€ с персоны, а 36€, что явно он не стоит.

A very relaxed hotel atmosphere, felt very much pampered in a very clean and comfortable hotel.

Loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The location and the granduer of the hotel was amazing, we loved the extensive selection for breakfast including champagne , the service was 10/10 throughout, we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, when we got back to the hotel in the evening we were surprised to find in our room a bottle of champagne and a delicious cake with a congratulations card from the general manager of the hotel, what a lovely touch to our stay. Thank you ! The restaurant food, the service and entertainment was excellent we were served by Matyas who was very polite had excellent knowledge of the food and wine and of the city he also recommended a very good bottle of Hungarian wine which we ordered and enjoyed very much with our food that was cooked to perfection. Compliments to the Chef.

The fact that you have to pay separately to be able to use the swimming pool facilities, all paying guests of the hotel should be allowed to use the facility without extra entry fee.

excepcional café da manhã, ambiente requintado, lobby bem decorado e equipe extremamente gentil... facilidade de transporte público, tem estação de bonde na porta e de metrô a poucos metros.

Beautiful, grand hotel which made our trip very special. Staff made it great. Thank you!

Breakfast buffet was brilliant, staff were so helpful and friendly. Bartenders were fantastic as were the drinks and snacks offered with every drink. We had noted it was our anniversary trip and when we returned from a day out, we had a cake and bottle of sparkling wine, courtesy of the hotel. Lovely surprise. 😍

Air con only went down to 18 degrees, which was still too warm in our room, it that was the only gripe we had really!
