2 star quality at 4 star price

Nice view & pool, but no private area or much shade and too far away to feel the lake vibes

We have stayed in Lenno 6 other times - normally at the Albergo 4 star hotel with a family suite (for less, including breakfast, pool etc) but it was fully booked this time as we made a last minute trip. The location was too far and steep from anywhere we wanted to go so had to drive and find parking which was almost impossible. We arrived to no warm water in the faucets, only sheets on the bed, a book of rules including check out between 8-9:00am. We weren’t able to sleep due to the heat and noise from parties on the lake and simple things like coffee and an iron were missing. I would not recommend this property for families or anyone with mobility issues as there is no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of narrow stairs. They will charge you for towels, toilet paper, having dirty shoes, etc. as stated in their rule book. The staff are very friendly, unless you have feedback about the accommodations. In a very residential local area with watch dogs at most properties except this one- which made it feel unsafe due to no security guard or staff past noon. Leaving a very honest review as I wish I had read the same before booking.

Gorgeous, clean and spacious room!

Beautiful room and squeaky clean! Everything was immaculate in the room and we appreciated the basket of essentials- oil, salt, pepper, jam, instant coffee, etc. as well as a bottle of water. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! We enjoyed having a fan to keep us cool at night. Loved to walk around the surrounding towns. The family was really helpful with suggestions on hiring our own boat to explore the lake.

The pool was pretty cool in early Sept. but kids were still swimming in it. Keep in mind the hotel is on a hill so while you can walk very easily to Lenno, it is a strenuous walk back uphill.

Stunning Views

Lovely apartment, fabulous view, friendly, helpful owners. Gorgeous dogs 😍 The pretty village of Lenno is just a 10 minute walk away, where you will find the ferry terminal, numerous lovely bars and restaurants, and more beautiful views! We would definitely look to stay here again

A brilliant holiday. The location is great with plenty to do; the lake, bars and restaraunts are walkable (up and down the hill). The views are stunning and Residence Celeste is kept immaculatley by the lovely family that run it.

Overall great stay by amazing Lake Como but sleep quality was poor

Fantastic views and lovely location (a bit of a walk to get to nearest shop or cafe but we didn’t mind). Super nice and friendly owner. Daily recommendations of things to do was much appreciated, further recommendations and tips on request. We enjoyed the swimming pool a lot.

Three out of five beds were very old and uncomfortable. Skylight in bedroom had no curtain, meaning that we got woken up when the sun got up every morning. Very hot in top floor flat. Very noisy garden works at 8am on Saturday morning. Several small lizards /geckos in the bedroom and bathroom inside the flat. Top floor flat only has low level windows, meaning that you have to sit down on the floor to fully be able to look out. Everything is a bit old and dated, but this was in line with expectations

Appartment/Swimming pool with view on lake Como

Stunning view from the room & swimming pool. Small scale residence run by a very friendly family. The host gives you suggestions to visit the region. Excellent service for laundry refresh. Well situated to visit the beautiful lake Como ( Villa Charlotta - Bellagio - Mennagio - Milano - Como - Greenway walking trail - Villa Balbaniello - rent a boat ... ) Plenty of good restaurants in the neighbourhood.

We were in the annex appartment. The appartment is clean - plenty of space - but could use a refresh (furniture/beds). No airco ( better for the climat - but hot ). There is always the fresh swimming pool/garden to cool down and the beautiful Como region. Overall we had a very good holiday

We loved our stay and will definitely return back!

- Hosts are super friendly and very responsive, easy and swift communication - Location is great, view is exceptional - Swimming pool with reserved space and chairs for each room is very convenient, no need to look for place each time

- during summer months it might get hot on the top floor and conditioning would be great to have. There is a fan, but it is too loud to sleep with it - we love to have coffee in the morning and we would appreciate a coffee machine in the room or a possibility to buy a cup of fresh Italian espresso in the morning in the reception :)

Friendly host, beautiful view

Very nice host, beautiful view from the pool, very clean.

We were on the top level and it was quite warm during the day, nights were ok (end of June). Als please notice that there are quite some steps from the pool to the room, to far for us to be at the pool with a babyphone when the kids have their midday nap.

It was so nice with absolutely fantastic view of the lake and mountains. You will be blown away by natural beauty in front of you. We felt like we could watch clouds over the mountains for hours and not get tired.

The pool, the view and the friendly welcome. The rooms are big and quiet. We could charge our electric car. I would definitely recommend this address.

We found the bed rather uncomfortable, which was a shame.

First time in Lake Como

Very clean and organized. Owners were in touch constantly with us ( even before our stay). Great views from the room.

No A/c, however after talking about it with management, they told me that they normally never use them in Lake Como.

Lovely three day stay with breathtaking view

beautiful location with a fantastic view, well equipped rooms and size, great pool and sweet and helpful owners of the hotel.

If you don’t have a car, it is a bit far away from well equipped supermarket. Not many restaurants in the neighbourhood but nice ones in the nearby towns. Note the rooftop rooms are extremely hot in the summer with no air conditioning, only a fan.

Fantastic stay with a stunning location

This was my second stay at Residence Celeste and it was as good as the last. The property managers are incredibly friendly and helpful and the apartment have all you need for a comfortable stay. The apartments are very well located and although there is quite a steep climb up the hill, the view is stunning and well worth it.

Check out is between 8 and 9am, which is a little early for late risers.

Mind the step between the bedroom and the corridor- especially dangerous at night!! A sign must be installed to warn you from falling before you got used to it

Fabulous stay!

Very friendly host. Exceptional view, perfect place to explore Bellagio, Varenna, etc The appartement was very clean and had a nice balcony with view on the lake! After a long day, you can relax at the pool!

Great place, lovely host!

Clean, spacious rooms. Great welcome by the host. Short walk to one of the most beautiful spots on the Como lakeside: Lenno. We appreciated the Covid precautions taken by the host.

We weren’t that fond of Bellagio (boattrip to the other side of the lake): way too busy and people are less friendly there. We rather stayed in Lenno with one occasional trip to Como.

Interior old fashioned and no airco. 1 bedroom was too hot. I dont like the comission of booking.com. Already 18% commission. So book directly with the owners. ( With all hard working owners..from hotels/b&b’s , residences enz)
