We enjoyed our two days stay particularly friendly and homely behavior of the host.

Cleaniness and attitude and hospitality of the staff mainly host. Breakfast was out class and we enjoyed very much. Room was nice but small

room was too small and off course bathroom was small as well.

Having been made more than welcome, this was complimented by cleanliness, comfort and great food.

Our hosts were fabulous, the staff fantastic as was the breakfast. We had an en-suite room (wooded view) which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All in all a great stay and we will return without question, thank you.

The icing on the cake would have been a sea-view, however we had plenty of those elsewhere in the property.

Excellent place to stay, in a perfect location, Sharon and Sue were very hospitable.

Room was a suitable size, clean and tidy. Breakfast was included within our price, there was a very good choice, including smoked haddock and kippers (my wife loved this).

Cleanliness , beautiful decor and a breakfast that beats any others.

Crisp clean sheets and breakfast cooked to perfection. This guest house is run exception well , everything is done to perfection. All areas are immaculately clean and fresh and lots of little extras in the bedrooms. We had a room with balcony and beautiful view down to the harbour . We were able to park in a reserved parking area provided by our hosts. We were made to feel most welcome by Sharon and i know we shall return.

Stayed 4 nights at "The Collingdale " our first trip ever to Ilfracombe, A glorious Victorian guest house overlooking the sea . Typical Victorian house standing tall with her sturdy walls, beautiful stairs and high ceilings,all immaculately decorated. Upon arrival we were met by host Sharon who greeted us with a warm welcome after our long journey from Essex and were immediately made to feel welcome which is always a plus . Sharon was very informative of restaurants to use and places to go which in my view is always a good sign too of a good host . Our room ( room 5) overlooked the sea , had a built in on suite , and a king sized bed to which I and my partner both had lots of room and was very comfy . Breakfast was held in two set times 8am & 9am which is a good idea and the actual breakfast was always cooked to perfection and to order by Daryl who obviously takes pride in what he dishes up as the food was hot,tasty, and cooked to perfection . All in all we enjoyed our visit to Ilfracombe and have some lovely memories to take home with us and can only thank Sharon and Daryl for helping make this a wonderful memorable stay .Bravo.

The only thing we didn't like is that we couldn't stay longer ,!

Brilliant B&B right on the beach and close to everything in town.

Breakfast was outstanding and the view form rooms is magnificent. Daryl and Sharon are the most welcoming and warm hosts we've ever met.

xcellent views in a very tall building.. owners extremely helpful and were keen to offer help when asked. very good breakfast and all in all a pleasure to stay there. Hopefully will come back another time

We had a wonderful stay at the Collingdale and would definitely like to return in the future.

The Collingdale Guest House is in a wonderful location, just above the harbour. Perfect for us as we enjoy walking but it wasn’t too far to main amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and overall breakfast dining experience in their light, airy and comfortable dining area.

Our shower was quite loud which wasn’t a problem for us but we did fear that we were disturbing neighbouring rooms when using it in the mornings.

Wonderful hosts, and we absolutely loved the honesty bar - great idea!

Superb

It was in an excellent location, run by two fantastic people who couldn’t do any more to make our stay enjoyable.

The surrounding area needs a bit of tidying up, but I think this was down to local council inactivity due to COVID.
