Great stay with dogs

An overnight stay with elderly parent.

The room and the near to leisure area, gym and pool. Brekky good too.

The stairs. Elderly mum struggled with them. Bathroom towel rail supposed to be heated, wasn't working. Did report it. Could've done with proper coffee, barista style. Machine brewed stuff not the best.

Was an ok stay.

Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Paid good money for an average hotel. Room was too hot as radiator could not be turned down. Ask 2 members of staff for a fan which did not happen.

Great stop over, good for families

Location worked well for us. Building is a little tatty if you look hard - but nothing concerning. Layout is good, comfortable. Standard room was a reasonable size and we had a nice view over the garden. The pool was better than we expected and had a fair amount of time for children - due to school holidays. Breakfast was standard, plenty of options and no one rushing us. The veggie sausages weren’t great - scrambled eggs were really great. All the staff were lovely, room was clean. I’d certainly go back.

Veggie sausages …. Take an afternoon to find a better alternative. Very minor point and certainly wouldn’t stop me going back!

Lovely looking hotel but...

Plenty of parking.

Lack of plugs. There needs to be plugs by the head board. Not a great selection for vegetarians when it came to the cooked breakfast. UHT milk for everything, but this is just my personal taste as I understand most chain hotels do use this over 'normal milk' Lack of mixers and limited alcohol selection at the event on the evening.

Pleasant, relaxing few days.

Breakfast was good also had evening meal which was also good. Spa which included jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and pool were excellent. Staff very attentive. Value for money.

Accommodation was a bit tired and could do with a freshen up.

Great hotel

It is the best place to stay in Gloucester regardless of the cost which in my opinion is fantastic food is lovely and the sayff just cat do enough

Petty I know but it's on a steep hill and could be a little bit nerve racking in the winter Nothing they can do about it I know But you said I had to right something I didn't like

Ok stay, food ok, wouldnt go back, didnt see a cleaner in the 24 hours i was at the hotel

bar food nice and a big tv screen with comfortable sofas, pool area good

Carpets in public spaces badly needed hoovering, drawer missing in room so looked scruffy, windows full of cobwebs, room overlooked local residents back gardens, not fun when you need to open curtains and windows on a hot day only to find there is a birthday party going on

Mooie omgeving, personeel doet zijn/haar best om vriendelijk je te helpen.

Er word in het gehele hotel niet goed schoongemaakt wat vooral zichtbaar is in de badkamer van de kamer, In de sportschool en zowel in het zwembad.

Spa massage feature was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful also breakfast had a good choice and vegetarion option. Good location oposite park if you fancy a walk. Close to town and markets.

I think it is good but price per night is not adequate to quality of hotel. I got it in promotion last minute but I would not pay a normal price which went massively up for a weekend period.

Good stay with minor faults

Swimming pool, buffet style breakfast.

In room - cracked sink, unable to use plug sockets, mattress topper instead of duvet. Restaurant - menu choice not available, 40 mins wait for mains. Leisure - guests not given priority over outside bookings for treatments.

Visited the hotel for a mid week wedding, stayed extra few day to celebrate my birthday.

The pool was a nice touch, food was lovely. Lovely breakfast.

Warm welcoming hotel with extremely helpful staff...

Clean, Well Equipped Hotel with lovely welcoming staff...Comfortable Beds and food was excellent.

The Swimming Pool boiler wasn't working on the day.. The water was very Cold... These things happen and will not put us off staying again...

Comfortable but a bit disappointing.

The staff were friendly and the beds were really comfortable. It was clean and welcoming

There was not enough staff particularly in the restaurant and it was very busy. It took a long time to serve then when we did it was not hot. We were compensated however and staff were apologetic. The breakfast was the same on the morning, not enough staff to fulfil the amount of people and we were constantly waiting for hot food. When it did come out, it was warm but not very hot. There were only 2 staff member on the floor and 1 chef in the kitchen. The spa facilities were nice ce, however the boiler had broken so the water was cold both pool and spa pool so were unable to use. This was one of the main reasons for using this hotel so that was disappointing.

Nice Hotel with comfortable room and excellent Gym however the few Staff were dedicated to regulars

The Gym and Leisure Facility was very good. Bar and Dining Room comfortable. Room very comfortable and clean.

The restaurant was busy with a senior citizens coach trip. The 3 restaurant staff we dedicated to support the trip and others were secondary so I can only assume the Hotel need to please the coach trip booking company which I understand. My company travel to this area 3 or 4 times a year and have tried a few Hotels to identify which one makes our staff most comfortable. We will keep looking which is a shame because the Gym was good.

Nice swimming pool

The hotel didn't meet the standards I'd expect for a price of well over £100 a night. The pool was great, but being part of a leisure club meant everyone from Gloucester was back and forth, which didn't make for the relaxing retreat I envisioned. The cooked breakfast was cold, food wasn't replenished enough and the counter area was messy. The fire exit was left open through the night which is a serious security risk. Random people were walking in and out of the fire exit at night and most of them smelt of weed. Bags of rubbish were left outside of rooms which made for an unsightly trip through the hotel. I've never seen this practice in a hotel before, and wouldn't have expected it from a hotel £100+ a night. Would have understood the price if it was near the city centre but this one was really out of the way.

Interior, bar the reception area was a little tired and dated. Evening meal overpriced for the quality of the food, nachos for starter were clearly out of a bag and not freshly cooked, and cheese nor even melted. Breakfast selection adequate, albeit staff very obliging

pretty standard hotel

lovely and clean, easy to get around

we had to walk past the restaurant to get to our room, which felt awkward. the room was far too hot. the single bed was not comfortable at all. one of our party didn’t bring a toothbrush, and reception do not provide them

Disappointing in that we decided to taxi everywhere as the hotel wasn't on a bus route, and no meals

Bed was very comfortable.

Having advertised free parking we had to pay £15 to park. We couldn't get an evening meal until after 8.30pm.
