Very good

position ideal for me as very close to Belper Train station and the bus station for visiting friends and family. Town very convenient and I enjoyed The river gardens area. Continental breakfast good and fresh prepared fruit delicious. shower room good and and room very clean. Only negative point was noise from outside at night but I had come prepared for this with ear plugs!

Great place to stay in Belper.

Lovely traditional hotel, good location in the centre of Belper. Rooms and communal areas have modern decor and are clean and comfortable, free car park, staff friendly and helpful.

Located in the town center with its own car park, so great location if you want to be in the town and no problem parking.

Needed to sleep when I got home

Good hotel, clean, food was good. Staff accepted late check in (1am)

There was a fan outside that tan all night keeping me awake and room was too hot so had to have window open making it feel like I was sleeping with a generator

A good facility in the middle of Belper

Location in town centre + proximity to station which has good service into Derby or uo to Matlock. Secure parking. Large room/bed Good bar + evening meal.

Continental breakfast was a bit basic.

Friendly, basic, but good.

Friendly staff, very good cooked breakfast, and fantastic Sunday roast dinner.

Spiral staircase up to our room was a challenge with all our luggage.

Good location, good parking, lovely room. I would recommend.

Great location with lot of secure parking. The hotel is very nicely decorated to a high and modern standard and the room are well looked after. Rooms were very spacious and beds were very comfortable.

The staff seems stretched and although friendly appeared stressed. Some rooms are above the bar which on a Friday evening had live music so I can imagine this could cause a problem; luckily my room was not and I couldn't hear a thing.

Second home

The location is perfect for visiting our Belper relatives. The hotel is very welcoming.

The price is good but could include the cooked breakfast. The lighting for the dressing table mirror wasn't the best for doing makeup.

Good location, close to shops, pubs etc. Nice clean hotel

Continental breakfast, not much to choose from and if you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay an extra £8.50, this was blamed on covid 🤔

disappointing.

second time I’ve stayed here, room was better (rear if the hotel). my previous room overlooked the courtyard and was very noisy

I’ve so far failed to login to the free Wi-Fi as I’m not a fan of social media and on this occasion missed breakfast as the times are not provided in the rooms.

Lovely hotel in a great location.

Lovely hotel room, one of the best I’ve stayed in in ages. We had a super-king size bed! Also loved the continental breakfast.

It was a little noisy, not much soundproofing.

A good value stay.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Our room was furnished to a good standard. The continental breakfast was help yourself with a good choice. You could pay extra for a cooked breakfast. We would return.

Great location with free parking.

The breakfast wasn't very organized at all we sat ourselves down in the area to the side of reception and followed some guests to find the breakfast room. We like continental breakfast but there was no fruit on the table, it had all gone and one piece of meat. We had our cereals first and was going to go back for fruit. There was one toaster for all the guests to use, it did four slices but took forever to toast so people were hanging round waiting. I went for more coffee and both jugs were empty so had to ask for more to be done.. I don't think it's too much to ask that the food that was offered was kept stocked up, it was only fruit and sliced ham and cheese that doesn't take much preparing at all. I didn't manage to get any fruit, only some cheese. I think that more organisation needs to be put into the breakfast. I overheard a guest sat near us that said it was the worst place he had been for breakfast, he did order a hot sandwich of some kind but then I heard him cancel as it was talking too long. What we had was nice but it definitely needs some proper management, it is your last impression of the hotel and it will be memorable for the wrong reasons.

All in all had a lovely stay. One of the comfiest beds we have slept in. Would stay again

Great hotel, friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast.lots of areas to sit. Inside courtyard, outside courtyard, great bar area, pizzeria and pizza was lovely! Lovely warm croissants for breakfast. Car parking.

Second morning wasn’t offered hot breakfast. Had to ask for croissants, came cold, had to ask to be warmed. Not as attentive as day before. Young girl on so maybe not as experienced but nice and pleasant.

Disappointed, when speaking to locals in nearby pub they stated that it has bad reputation locally

Breakfast a disgrace .. unbelievable poor choice, only toaster available from the 1960's. Absolutely disgraceful that they have the nerve to call this a continental breakfast !!!
