Very little! It’s an old building, with facilities that are spread out but that’s just that it is!

Nice, clean comfortable and an excellent staff!

The owner is the nicest person ever. He came out very late to help us due to no cell service. He went out of his way to help us and the place is lovely and very clean. I recommend the County Hotel with a 10+ rating!

Great hotel.

Very comfortable bed great sleep, quiet even at front. Great breakfast. We loved Selkirk wish could have stayed longer. And would definitely return to the County.

A short but satisfying stay in Selkirk.

Breakfast was very good. I have never had the option of a simple roll with bacon for breakfast at a hotel but found that this suited me.

Room was a little’bijou’and we could have done with a larger room.

Perfect stay in a great family run hotel

Nice room with good bathroom en suite. Bed very comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful (but not intrusive or over bearing). Breakfast promptly cooked to order and delicious. Highly recommended!

Just what I needed for work, perfect location in the high street with parking!

Location was great and in perfect walking distance for restaurants and food outlets. Number One being literally next door is amazing - go try it!

I know it's an old property and you should expect some creaking but the flooring right outside my room door was noisy and I was woken up an number of times with other guests either returning or leaving. Again something that can't be changed there is a street lamp literally outside the bedroom window. It might be helpful to have a black out blind which can be lowered in the room I was in.

We were at an Equestrian event nearby and were supposed to be camping. The hotel provided a good night's sleep and shower when we needed it at the last minute. The receptionist was really pleasant and helpful - especially as our check in was late.

next to one of the nicest restaurants in the area. number 1

advertised it had a restaurant and it didn’t. carpets on the stairs were filthy. The room wasn’t serviced after the first night so no clean towels etc. It was noisy! The towels were too small.

Adequate for what I needed

Comfortable bed, everywhere clean. Lounge a nice area

Bathroom very small, lots of stairs to top floor with luggage, traffic noise in the night and light outside bedroom shining all night. Would have liked a bar.

The breakfast was excellent, well cooked and a good choice of food. The location was great for exploring the borders and Selkirk.

Location in town excellent. Room was clean and comfortable . Breakfast was good.

Shabby entrance.lack of facilities. No bar. Spartan residents lounge. Last breakfast 9:00am. Departure by 10. It had an unwelcoming feeling overall with no atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when needing to check in early for a wedding. The room was lovely and modern, was very quiet for it being on the high street which was lovely.

Only think I didn't like but it didn't give me a problem just use to. Was the shower as it wasn't very strong of a pressure but still managed to shower.

Could here banging doors from other residents but know this is to be expected.

I would not recommend this Hotel at the moment.

This Hotel needs a lot of work to bring it up to reasonable standard. Decor in need of complete overhaul.

Exceeded expectations - by a long way.

The room was reasonably priced, larger than expected, spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy! Breakfast is better than any hotel I've ever stayed in. All freshly cooked to order - none of the "kept warm" or reheated stuff you so often find these days. There was a great choice, and you can add extra items FREE!

The weather could have been better ... but you can't blame the hotel for that!
