Whelmed.

This hotel was chosen as the venue for wedding guests at a wedding we attended. It was close to the venue and in a handy location to access. There is an iron and ironing board provided in every room which was handy. The breakfast wasn't bad value at £10. There is a Starbucks inside, if you like that.

For the price this hotel seemed outdated, unclean and disorganised. When we checked in at 5pm we were told there weren't any rooms available and that they would give us a "free" upgrade. The room was passably clean with someone's hair left in the bin? Where a bar fridge obviously once lived, a small cupboard is now provided. There is also only one power point for the whole room. The hotel has obviously undergone some upgrades but they feature far too many stripes for my liking. Overall, we would not choose to stay here again if it wasn't for something like a wedding where everyone was based.

Amazing staff, but rooms dated and in need a good refurb!

The staff there are incredible, they were so friendly, attentive. Couldn’t do enough for you. The bar area is nice and food was nice.

The rooms were awful. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning and doing their job. Can’t fault them at all. But the room itself, dated, the ceiling in the bathroom had paint flaking off blackish dirty water mark looking circles, the half hearted paint job on the doors where they’ve tried to cover the red paint with grey, the old tiling. No fridge in the room, two small lamps so the room was dark and only one plug socket over by the tv. No phone to ring reception etc. Missed a lot of the usual things you would expect to find in a hotel room.

Clean, Comfortable, Ideal location swift check in and check out!

Easy location to business venue. Quick and Easy check in check out. Clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was great and the waiting staff at breakfast were fab. However, it's attention to detail - The metal holders on tables to house sauces etc were rusty and dirty. Recommend would be to remove these as it's off putting when eating food to look at rusty, dirty holders. It gives the impression the hotel is unclean but that is not the case it's the little things like this which will mark you down.

Nice hotel in nice location.

Food in the pub was lovely.

Room was slightly dirty and dusty upon arrival, floor didn’t look like it had been hoovered. Pillows were very hard to sleep on. Room was also considerably dark with not much lighting.

Ok hotel, would return if it was cheaper

No curtains in the room which is bizarre, tired rooms, window dirty and bad condensation, bedding not changed in 4 nights, maids coke once during our stay, no cleaning just made the bed. Breakfast wasn’t the best, expensive food in the bar.

Was given wrong information about parking on arrival by a very unhelpful receptionist,told us it was sorted and didn't even bother to take our registration,we checked on leaving and it wasn't sorted. No glasses in room for cleaning teeth etc. No complementary biscuits,when I asked was told co-op was 5 mins away.We could hear the gentleman on the phone and the person he was speaking too,room 304 is not sound proof. Food was so greasy for breakfast,fruit over ripe.White stains around side of upholstery on bed, had to clean with baby wipes.Srong smell of drains in bathroom Hotel seems to aim more for leisure facilities than guests staying over

Disappointing

Breakfast was fair - not great but not bad. The staff were friendly and helpful, as always

I've stayed at the hotel a few times over the years and it is in need of a bit of tender care. The rooms were clean, but the paint is peeling in the corridors and rooms and there was a random wire sticking out of the ceiling of my room. The accommodation is overpriced and the whole building seems "tired". I'm sorry to say that unless the hotel is refurbished or the price is drooped considerably, I won't be looking to stay there again.

Ok for price. Great, friendly staff. Dated decor and furnishings. Noisy families staying nearby!

Too many family rooms near ourselves, meaning noisy neighbours/ children most of the night!! Bath/stroke shower virtual impossible to stand up in whilst showering!! Serious accident waiting to happen!

Great hotel, amazing staff and big comfortable bed!

Big rooms, big bed, very friendly attentive staff. great breakfast and excellent location

nothing really. window was a bit dirty on the outside and shower could have been more powerful. No sky tv in room as advertised? not really an issue.

Everything at this hotel seemed to cheap. Will not stay there again but use the nearby premiere inn.

DIY hotel, no frills and almost no staff

Location

Lack of staff, unfriendly and unhelpful. In need of refurbishment, it's like a DIY hotel but expensive with no frills. In summary it is like a Travelodge with sports bar inside.

Average but nothing special

Great location. No staff on arrival or check-out as its self check-in and out. Not great when you have questions or an issue.

Couldnt access the wifi. Beds wernt very comfy as it was 2 twins pushed together which isnt great when you expect an actual full sized bed. The room had an adjoining door into the next room which I didnt like at all.
