Superb little hidden gem in Malia old town

I loved everything about this place! It's close enough to the action but far enough away to be more peaceful. The facilities are great, the pool great, the bar is superb with great prices. The room itself was really comfortable and a decent size. Even the other guests were really friendly and kind. A special mention to Eva who sorted out a mechanic to come fix my car when it wouldn't start one morning! Can't wait to return to this lovely little hotel.

nice well run studio in malia

I was here in the off season so it was very quiet . nice studio with two balcony’s very clean .the staff are friendly and I felt like this is a professionaly run establishment. the pools looked great .

When the staff showed us the room and were convinced that we would rent the apartment, they changed the price on the spot from 16 Euros to 20 Euros. There was no shampoo and soap in the bathroom.

Nice and clean hotel,good relaxing area around bar and pool,

Very friendly family run business. Nice and clean rooms,quite location.very nice and tasty home made food. Very polite and helpful business owners Eva Fey Georgia Spiros and Kris. Definitely will be back next year

Very good

The room was very clean comfortable and reasonably quiet. The pool was very good. I didn't use the food facilities but they seemed to be good The reception staff were very good considering I didn't arrive till about midnight. The cleaners were very good you just had to ask and it would be done.

Cozy little place close to the beach, however the additional charge for AC left a bad impression.

Location

The room that we booked, it was clearly mentioned that it includes air-condition. However, the staff at the hotel asked for additional 60 Euros if we want to switch-on the AC, which is not right. Considering the heat & hot weather, we were left with no choice but to pay additional 60 euros.

A nice short stay!

Pool was quite nice, very cooling shade system

It‘s a party city and people like partying even in the hotel. Can get a bit louder with people blasting their music.

Staff were horrible!

the property itself was average and in an ok location.

The staff were horrible and racist. they do not like tourists, when asked for places to go, they dismissed me just because of my appearance. they do not like any minority groups, including English, Australian, middle eastern or serbian.

One of the most friendly staffs I have ever encountered. They were so accommodating with all of our needs and helped us with all of our travel problems as well as gave us excellent suggestions for activities to do in Malia. On top of that the food was excellent and it was a family business.

First of all the property is very clean and well maintained. It is perfect spot outside of the party-infested central Malia. It is just beside old town with multiple amazing restaurants within 5 min walk. Beach is just 15 min walk which was perfect for us. If you are after a little bit more quiet beach time I would highly recommend Potamos Beach which is 30 min walk but it is worth every step. Staff in the hotel were just amazing, helpful, positive and very open. Rooms are very clean, nice bathroom and studio kitchenette and we spend our evening on a spacious balcony. Comfortable beds, a lot of power outlets, nice towels and bedding. Clean and well maintained pool is available and not crowded.

This was my 4th stay here and such was the conviviality of other guests and hospitality of the hosts and staff I stayed for a further two weeks.If you are looking for independence and ease of access to anywhere in Eastern Crete this is the ideal location,with the appreciated advantage of being sufficiently distant from the craziness that has somewhat characterized the image of Malia.I cannot wait to return.

My stay at Happy Days was truly fantastic. The staff is exceptional, always ready to lend a hand and available. My apartment was very spacious and was cleaned by the maid every day. It features a really nice and clean pool that is open to guests all day. It is possible to eat excellent specialties and have a hearty breakfast. The prices compared to the service are excellent. It is located very close to the characteristic Old Town where you can find excellent restaurants with Greek and international specialties. I walked to the sandy beach in a few minutes. On the main road we find many pubs, businesses and supermarkets for any eventuality. my stay was five star, i am sure i will be back in september for a week of relaxation and fun from HappyDays!

Perfect affordable stay

The staff at Happy Days are so accommodating and welcoming, for the price it is a perfect hotel which allows you to see the old town of Malia. We loved our stay especially having the bar and pool and a balcony in the room. Thank you!

Great place!

Family we’re lovely, Chris was hilarious! Pool and bar area nice and clean, cocktails delicious and food too! Good quiet area far enough from the strip so that you could get a good sleep.

Air conditioning was a little cold and can’t fix temp so got a little cold at night
