convenient, nice staff, room expensive price

location in Llanduff good for twilight wlk around the cathedral and supermarket for twilight snacks. Also good for Howells school, my venue. The staff at Maltsters ewere all super attentive and friendly.

The Norwegian church room felt rather subterranean. Also no shampoo but I could have asked for some if needed( two lots of body wash instead.

Staff were really lovely and the location was great for us! We came for a gig at the stadium and it was just a short Ube

Table was a quite sticky and dirty when we arrived and hadn’t used it yet Really thin loo roll (but I’m just being picky there ha!)

Lovely stay

Wonderful friendly staff. Room was fabulous, bath great for two. Nice cold beer on the balcony on a lovely sunny day. Definitely recommend.

Two very small niggles, cosmetically. Headboard shedding faux leather coating and one bedside lamp held together with sellotape.

Travelled to the Malsters for a family birthday

It was so welcoming and our room was lovely. Staff were excellent and very helpful

A perfect stay.

What an amazing place. A wonderful welcome, a great pub with fabulous food and good service. A very varied menu of quality ingredients at a reasonable price. The staff were very polite and friendly. Our room was just amazing, so comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and very well equipped to. Add a ridiculously comfortable bed, air conditioning, and the best nights sleep, we will return, for sure.

Good breakfast although slightly slow for food to be served. Ideally located for the cathedral which was important for us. The staff were very friendly

Whilst the room was fine in itself the location over the main Cardiff road meant it was noisy the whole time.

Lovely place good location staff were very friendly, but food lets them down.

Not so great toast was burnt and my husband breakfast could have been warmer.

Overall food was poor, we had dinner the first night and it could have been warmer. Just standard of food needs to be better

A pleasant stay on the whole but with some room for improvement.

The staff were friendly with the room pleasant (nice shower)and the location was convenient for my work. Dinner was excellent (especially the burger) with quite a nice breakfast (but see below)

It was good to see that a heater/air-con unit had been installed in room 1 (it was cold the last time we stayed) although you had to be a nuclear physicist to work out how to work it! The bed was not that comfortable (I asked for a double for me and my wife) as it was two singles jammed together with an annoying lump in the middle. On the one evening we ate in the hotel the floor was filthy and we moved to the area downstairs. Breakfast was our main problem. Given that only one person is serving and there is no buffet for cereals/coffee and juice, on both mornings I had time-pressures in getting to work as the service was far too laid-back. If someone is going to ask for breakfast at 7.45am it is pretty obvious that they are going to have to get to work. Surely a buffet table with continental stuff out would avoid this and then the waitress can just ask what hot food is required? That said, it was nice when it arrived but I would have liked more time to enjoy it! I asked if there was muesli (for the third time) but still no joy. The breakfast menu is very confusing as to what is included and what is an extra 75p or so - even the lady who served us couldn't understand it!

Really lovely time.

The staff were so friendly and helpful (Chris in particular!). Really helped to make our stay. The food was lovely and we’re able to cater to gluten and dairy free diets. The shower and bathroom facilities were amazing!

Faux leather on headboard wearing off, could do with replacing as it makes the room look tatty. Ensuite Bathroom a bit small.

I enjoyed the food and the staff are very friendly

Breakfast wasn’t available at the time I needed it and couldn’t be left out for me. I was offered and accepted two porridge pots.

Superb

(Didn't like?) Staff could do with a bit more training how to look after paying guest before general public when looking to have food. Saying all that overall not a bad time. P.S after travelling long distance like 8 Hrs +.. Kid's breakfast could do with more options in sted hot meals?
