Frictionless service, relaxing stay with very professional staff a modern hotel.

The location was excellent, with a tram stop right out front, DFO just across the water, and the Crowne Casino within a stone’s throw. Plenty of dining options along the river and nearby food courts made it very convenient. The staff were attentive, friendly, and provided seamless service throughout my stay. The breakfast offerings were fantastic, and the schnitzel from room service was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable experience! Good for couples.

We stayed at the Crowne in September 2024 and became aware of the construction of a multi-story building next to the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool. There was some slight noise from Monday to Saturday, starting at 7 AM, but the room’s soundproofing was very effective, though not completely noise-free. Thankfully, this disruption is temporary, as it’s only due to the ongoing construction. There was something biting us in the bed that left small red dots and the staff promptly changed all the bed linen.

The location is awesome! And the rooms are comfortable

We were disappointed to find that our car had not been locked by the concierge/valet. It was parked not far from the entry so certainly accessible by anyone.

Amazing and relaxing

It was very clean, beautiful and comfortable. Staff was friendly and breakfast was amazing. Very well thought of concepts for kids play rooms for the holidays. We really enjoyed it.

The road works and the weird detoyr from hotel to car park due to footpath being blocked off. It's not the hotel's fault or in their control. Melbourne city is going through a lot of upgrades with the roads and this is an unfortunate hassle until all that is done.

Nice room and the beds were pretty comfy. ended up needing two separate beds in the one room and they accommodated that fine. Close to the Casino

Our room service dishes stayed outside our room door for nearly 48 hours. There was quite a bit of noise from roadworks and construction.

Bed very comfy … good view of pool and distant city .. probably would have preferred view of river but, I really have no complaints as I was on top floor

I had my daughter, son in Law and grandchildren also staying in another room and although they too enjoyed stay .. the grandchildren were disappointed that the electronic games were taken away the day after they arrived but were told it was only for school holidays (they were on school holidays from nsw and did not understand ). maybe the time should be extended to all school holidays (at least in Australia) not just school holidays in Victoria.

Great except for the access and the concierges.

The counter staff were wonderful and very kindly let me check in quite early. The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the river. The bedding was especially comfortable and the room was well cleaned.

A misleading sign pointing to ‘Crowne Plaza Acess’ sent me through a dirty and noisy building site. When I mentioned this to the concierge, it was quite clear they couldn’t give a damn. Two other times I asked a concierge for help or directions, their attitude was unimpressive. It seemed they were more interested in looking important than helping the paying guests.

Breakfast brilliant and such a wide range of choices. Staff excellent as was the food.

I am being petty but the lift from the outside entrance was not working the last three day’s we were there. No slippers I was surprised there was no bar fridge (with drinks)

It was a convenient location, a good view but costly

The location was great

The price gouging for the room given there was a major event in Melbourne was expected, however room that standardly sells for around $250 per night we were charged over $800 a night plus $140 for valet parking (we didn’t use the car at all while there). I guess they can do this when the demand is there but I think it’s a bit over the top. For the price we got a small twin room with stains all over the carpet. They called this an upgrade as I booked on booking.com for a twin room and was then advised they can not garuntee twin beds and I would need to spend an extra $200 to ensure we have two beds. I traveled with my elderly mother and my teenager, I thought this whole process was poor. The cafe in the hotel was also not great service, they need to do a bit better knowing the hotel is at capacity. We had food missing and had to send food back ie: avocado toast with no avocado. This was the same for many people there.

Room was clean. A little dusty on the shelf’s above the fridge but nothing major. The bed was super comfy and the location was perfect for what we needed

I didn’t like the fact when I booked it was for a high floor yet we were only on level 1. I was disappointed in this as we were having a mother daughter get away and it would have been nice as this is what I was expecting

Room was exceptional, very clean and serviced when you requested. Bed was very comfy and location was excellent.

It was tricky finding the access of the property by car.

the pillow were terrible. no shape to them at all. the breakfast was horrible, especially when you charge $44 for an adult.
