Very good

The staff are always ready to meet your every need, they are polite, kind and have a way of making you feel at home each and every day. A superb sliver breakfast service in a opulent dining room with lovely garden views and in-house peacocks parading the grounds. On one side the views extend to the a golf course, to the field which hosts the bull cows and the stunning old brick coach house. There are plenty of rooms to sit have a tipple or afternoon tea or light bites in-between.

New receptionist failed to understand the culture or the place nor got a grasp of customer needs, she failed to listen and took a very suborn approach. very displeasing and disappointing indeed.

Gorgeous property, outstanding rooms, wonderful staff, great food. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and it felt like an authentic Scottish experience.

Lovely short break within walking distance of Edinburgh centre.

Location and opulence

Prices are quite high, especially for extras, but I guess this is only to be expected

Magical Prestonfield.

Stunning location. Country house vibe. Beautiful and interesting interiors. Excellent, friendly but unobtrusive staff. Magical place. Short taxi trip to Edinburgh centre. An absolute delight

We loved every single aspect of this hotel. The staff was 2nd to none, housekeeping was impeccable and the food was better than most top restaurants. We loved the decor, constantly finding new treasures to admire! Can't wait to return and we couldn't recommend this more!

brilliant as always, but they need to get the doorman to be a little more attentive

location and the rooms are so comfy. the food is 1st class and staff wonderful.

Perfect wedding night stay.

Although the hotel itself was full of character and charm what made our stay so good was the staff and management we wer

Gorgeous and lush.

Excellent staff, incredibly friendly and helpful. Absolute delight.

We briefly were placed in the wrong room - which was slightly larger and nicer than the one we got moved to! So we did have slight room jelousy after that! :-)

I loved the style, the interior decorations, the setting, the people, the quiet, and THE BREAKFAST. I especially liked how the staff helped with every question, sign, or even standing around looking confused for a moment! The Teatime was a special highlight for us, it was really a treat!

The toilet flush was a bit of a struggle and the hot water came in waves (room 12)

The best hotel experience ever!

We love everything about Prestonfield House, from the moment we arrived to the moment we drove away. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are so well dressed, the beds, sooo comfortable, and everything you could need to make your stay comfortable is provided.
