Motel for the Guest House price

The staff was super friendly. Everybody tried to speak in English. Breakfast was delicious. The guest house has free parking in front of the reception.

There is a bar on the premises, as well as a restaurant. It took more than an hour to receive our order. Unfortunately, the food was extremely salty, tasteless, and overpriced in comparison with a rural location. It was noisy at night. Neither baby nor I could fall asleep at all. Some drunk people were having a party above our heads. Some locals were going around our windows, making rude comments, and laughing, looking at us like some zoo animals. Reception is closed at 9 PM, nobody could help us to deal with the noise. The mattress was hard as a rock, beds were super small and uncomfortable. The hotel looks nice from the outside with a traditional German facade, but inside everything was dusty and dark. We felt like at some motel, not a cozy guest house. We will never return to this place.

Don't think I would stay there again. Might be fine for some, but didn't work well for us.

Nice sunny apartment. Well furnished

Hot water did not work in the morning when we needed to shower. Traveling with daughter who uses a walker, and even though she can do stairs, it was difficult - the stairs are metal, to a balcony - and there was a lot of snow. The short path from the top of the stairs to the entry door was piled with snow. We were also not aware that the apartment was about 3kms from the main Gasthaus - and breakfast. Internet did not work.

Not the quiet accommodation we hoped for

Average breakfast included, basic room standards covered.

Super loud concert on the same premises until at least 4am. No earlier warning by the hosts. External lights switched on whenever someone walked outside on the street at night, and shined our room despite closing blinds and curtains. The guesthouse is on the street. Cigarette smell in breakfast area. Cold check in experience focused on getting it over quickly. Not what we expect from guesthouses.

A good stay in lovely surroundings.

why can’t German (and French) hotels get their wifi up to scratch. It’s appalling.

Cozy stay

Nice 2-bedroom apartment for a short stay. The living room has plenty of space. Enough room to accommodate 1-2 dogs. Not accessible on a wheel chair.

if they will improve the pillows and bed linens, I would definitely say that this is one perfect accommodation. highly r

we liked the property very much. it is spacious and very clean.

the only downside is that they do nit have a microwave. also there is no sufficient pillows and the linens they have is clean but the type of crumpled linens which is scratchy to the most of us.

The breakfast was ok (with the exception of the coffee).

The room was clean but not cosy. Nothing very exceptional. Upstairs, part of the appartment was under construction (previously à kitchen). The stay was basic (only for sleeping 1 night)

A good place to stay overnight

the room is spacious, clean. the owner was flexible to leave the bicycles longer next day

Fair priced basic stay in a beautiful location.

Nice location close to Monschau and located beautifully in the hills. Easy to find and acces with a parkinglot in front of the door. The Restaurant and Bierkeller attached are of fair quality and the service was nice. The room was spacious and very clean, the bathroom was spotless and the shower was really good, enough water pressure, hot water and a nice showercabin. The included breakfast was good, enough to choose from.

The bed was a little too soft for my taste and the pillows are really thin. but that, again, is a matter of personal opinion. and that's about all of the less nice things that come to mind, overall a very good experience for the price you pay.

A very pleasant experience

Very friendly relaxed hosts who were very patient while our son practiced his German. We had a family room. Basic no frills but exceptionally clean and comfortable room. Had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good. Evening meal on our arrival exceeded our expectations. Great shower! Quiet location.

More pictures on the wall would be nice.

Pro's and con's; all in all I would expect more for 100 euro's / night.

- Friendy staff - Nice room, nice bed, god bathroom - Spatious parking - Good breakfast - nice beer cellar

- no wifi reception on room - food in the restaurant is mediocre, even the pasta was greasy - noisy room

Nice staff, rural atmosphere, big rooms, good beds.

We were cyclists on the Vennbahn, so to cycle uphill to the property was exhausting at the end of the day.
