Poor for a 4*

Location

WiFi not working or very intermittent. Not clean Room smelt musty 1 was mattress was hard, other was soft No air conditioning No spoons for drinks in the room Bathroom was dirty Hallways smelt like dirty toilets

Overpriced would be better with a travelodge

Not much, staff were friendly and parking was adequate but over all experience was disappointing.

Hotel was in general rather tired. Decor was old fashioned and in need of some t.l.c. Cobwebs in the room, corridor carpets badly fitted. Room had poor view and although reasonably well appointed was nevertheless disappointing.

Property tired looking in some areas n doesn’t present value for what I paid

Ive stayed there before n the location is convenient for the trips I wanted to make. Shout out to Stuart on reception who was extremely helpful on previous visits n again this time.

I had to ask for my room to be cleared of moths n the carpet looked to be moth eaten in several places.

I wasn't told the dinner in the evening needed to be booked, the restaurant did look that busy but was told there was no availability. i had to drive out and could only find a Macdonald's. very disappointed

Lovely warm pool and great staff

Stayed between Christmas and New Year, only the Bar open but decent menu, however the 2 members of staff in the restaurant and the 2 ladies in reception were amazing.

Great day because the staff were amazing.

The body massage was excellent, probably the best I’ve had, so relaxing. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the helpful bar staff. Afternoon tea was tasty.

The foot wear I was given to wear in the spa made me slip on areas around the pool and changing room where water was present. I stopped wearing them. The gowns for the pool did not give a very good first impression, the pocket on my husband’s was hanging off. The water container in the pool area had rust around it.

The location is amazing. Breakfast was really good Evening meal also excellent. The staff there are so friendly and extremely helpful. We had a fantastic two days.

Pleasant staff, lovely breakfast.

Location and breakfast amazing, a little pricey for the state of the rooms, whole building looks like it could do wit h decorating, maybe rooms could be cheaper if you don't want to make use of the leisure facilities. We just required bed and breakfast, the breakfast was amazing though and staff were lovely.

Lovely rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast!

lovely clean rooms, spacious, breakfast was wonderful! We were there for a wedding at a nearby venue so although we didn’t have time to use the spa facilities, we did quickly check them out and they looked wonderful! Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.

Room was very hot - although couldn’t be helped as the weather was warm, and there was a fan provided in the room

we had a terrible experience here so disappointed with what we got for what we paid this is more like a 1 start hotel not a 4 star hotel there was no hand soap we was told it was on back order and given shower gel cutlery was left all afternoon and evening with sores open for breakfast breakfast was barely edible we have 72 photos of issues with the property which we have raised

one of the worst hotels I have stayed at.

location.

the property was extremely run down and a smell of damp in the hall and the room. the radiators you couldn’t turn down and the rooms were set at 25 degrees. the window didn’t open properly and the fan was broken in the bathroom.

Disappointing. We used to stay here a lot a few years ago and it was brilliant. We won’t be staying again it’s gone down

The breakfast was lovely as were the ladies serving at breakfast time. The room was nice and clean. The housekeepers were very nice.

The photo of the boss in reception is not welcoming. Just looks a big head. Don’t think the extra £5 to use the swimming pool is very good. Also feeling interrogated by the spa staff if we’ve paid to use the facilities. Which we hadn’t as we had booked before the new policy came into force. The spa staff were rather snooty!

Definitely not a 4 star spa hotel, an average hotel in need of some maintenance

Lovely location, with a lot of potential

Room was dusty with cobwebs, poorly maintained and wanted to sit in lounge after meal with a drink but couldn’t because of another female resident drunk and using bad language, shouting and laid across sofa and staff not doing any about this female resident

Just right for our needs.

Lovely building with very nice breakfast. staff very pleasant.

Bedroom tired, needs a bit of a spruce up. Heating could not be turned down so very hot in the room even with window open.

The food was lovely and spa facilities were also good.

The bedroom didn't really match the photos. Carpet was really old and stained. Very outdated and dark room but otherwise was clean.
