Dissapointing

Location.

There was only one member of staff, working very hard, but it isn’t possible to run a hotel/restaurant on your own!. If you are doing one thing you can’t be found another!. The evening meal was pizza or meatballs, not good!.

Fait l’affaire pour une nuit entre 2 destinations. Odeur d’humidité très forte et besoin de rafraîchissement global.

Pratique pour rejoindre Calais et grand parking.

Odeur désagréable de moisissures, tout reste humide dans cette chambre.

Not geared up for large parties

The room was clean and tidy

We were part of a large group, they knew we were coming and yet they did not have to staff to accommodate us, there was one person on reception, one working the bar and one chef when we arrived, we paid for a 'meal deal' so buffet starter, buffet dessert and a choice of mains, we ended up not ordering mains as the staff weren't set up and waited an hour for them to take our order so gave up!!! On leaving, I handed my key card into Recep and left (like I would in Premier Inn as everything already paid) 2 hours later I had €37 taken from my bank account and have no idea what it's for, I'm still waiting for them to reply to my emails. Others in the group also had charges they weren't expecting on their bills and monies taken.

A very basic level of accommodation, that's not expensive, but consider eating elsewhere.

Wifi was free. Bed was comfortable. Kettle worked well. Tea, coffee and biscuits were replenished daily. The room appeared to be clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The sink in the bathroom looked like it had previously been smashed and stuck together with glue. The TV that looked good, had loads of international channels listed, but only those in French worked. Breakfasts were very basic. The only fruit available most days were apples, and on one day there were a couple of old-looking bananas; because of this we didn't eat there in the evenings.

Wouldn’t use again

Location

Rooms very tired and need urgent upgrades. ( first time I’ve seen woodchip since 1970). No customer service from the staff one total ignored me for 5 minutes . Has breakfast on day 1 although cold food ok was very slow to be replenished. Hot food poor. Dinner starter and dessert ok but main course inedible.

You get what you pay for!

Room clean and tidy and made up everyday. Bed squeezed to one side making hard to get in and out! Card cups in the room not ideal if you want more than drink! Only two little pots of milk and one packet of two biscuits so only one each! The bathroom was adequate, again card cups available, two towels which were not bath towels but slightly bigger than a hand towel. No hand towels on offer either! Breakfast was basic but ok! I didn’t eat at the hotel but others did! My one bit of advice would be check your bill get receipts for what you order as many of our group were charged for things they didn’t have! I guess you get what you pay for! There was a lovely all,you can eat buffet five minutes drive or a twenty minute walk away!

Horrible et honteux

Rien . Tout était à refaire . C est une honte de proposer un hôtel à ce prix dans un tel état. Moisissures, moquette qui n a plus plus d âge ,simple vitrage, chauffage salle de bains datant des années 80

Nous avons eu froid car le vent passait sous la porte , Literie très peu confortable. La chambre est toute petite très basse . On se sens étouffé. Je pense que même un formule 1 est plus propre et mieux entretenu que cet hôtel . Le petit déjeuner est très peu garni.Bref un très mauvais séjour.

Montés pour des obsèques sur DIVION, le fait d'avoir l'hôtel à proximité, ça nous a bien aidé.

Au niveau du petit déjeuner et du repas du soir, la formule buffet, c'est "top".

Le fait d'avoir la chambre au rdc , il y avait beaucoup de passage, parfois bruyant.

Excellent location, just off autoroute. One hour from Calais. Good facilities.

Comfortable room, good bathroom, clean. Welcome tray with good choices. Breakfast is good, staff on hand to replenish items as required. Evening meal was the best we have ever had at a Campanile. This is always a good overnight stop for us!

Staffing seemed a little short at breakfast. One is needed for checkouts, leaving only one person to clear and wipe tables, replenish items, sort the coffee machine etc. However this didn’t detract from the stay as all staff were friendly and helpful.

A practical stopover on our way to Calais

Proximity to the highway, very fast check-in/out, few minutes drive to the center of town (which is worth a visit)

A part from a strange and pungent smell of detergent in the corridors and in the room, everything was fine.

Perfect place for a cheap nights sleep

Its just like a Travelodge with extra's. Tea/coffee making facilities. English and continental breakfast available. Evening meal of steak and chips very excellent. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. Overall, very good value for money.

I didnt like the fact it was our last day in France There's no secure parking for motorbikes but its not a game changer and we didnt have any problems.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food good value for money. Location excellent. Great selection for breakfast. Adequate parking. Amusing cat.

Small hotel but ideal for 1 night stop. Excellent buffet dinner. Very friendly receptionist.

Rooms a little cramped but ok just. Difficult to find, a clearer map would have helped.

Excellent place to break journey south. Would definitely use again.

Location excellent - just off the A26. Motel style accomodation. Clean room, bathroom looked like it had been refurbished recently. Very quiet. Pleasant breakfast room. Plenty of choice, hot and cold selections. Free parking.

We couldn't find it! Our fault - tired. But it is literally off the first roundabout just after you have gone through the payage! Maybe signage could be a bit bigger.

The campanile was in a nice location despite being on an industrial estate. Pretty garden. Easy to get on to the motorway from there. We ate well for a very reasonable price.?

Two cats- we had a dog! Seriously it was fine.

Staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating of a late arrival from the channel tunnel.

The room had an overwhelming smell of BO or feet. It was late so just aired the room as best we could before going to bed - but very unpleasant.

Great for a night stopover

The room was basic but the bed was exceptionally comfortable! Buffet breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Great parking outside our room.

Very limited choice on the dinner menu in the restaurant, especially if you are vegetarian.

WAS an ideal stopover to and from Calais

We had a room for the night and it's proximity to Calais.

Arrived on a Saturday night to be told there would only be pizzas to order in the restaurant. On our return journey, there was no restaurant service at all, on a Friday night. The man behind the counter then gave out 3 alternative restaurant cards saying, when you ring tell them you are at the Campanile. Room 101 outgoing and room 10 on return missing the mirror behind the door and both sinks were cracked, shower tray dirty and a broken toilet seat. Been coming here for 20 + but will not be returning anytime soon, very disappointed.

It was clean and beds were comfortable

The location was noisy. We were given a room with a wet room that flooded and where water did not drain away properly. Although we checked a few days before our stay that the restaurant was open when we arrived we were told only pizzas were available for our evening meal. We ate this for 2 nights and then ate elsewhere for the rest of our stay. The website should have been honest about the lack of food in the evening - we chose this hotel as we have stayed in Campaniles before and liked that we could eat in and have an excellent choice of starters, mains and desserts. We were not given any reasons for the lack of food choices.
